Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

I will gladly lift up your daughter in prayer, asking the Lord to guide her steps and grant her His favor. But let us also be clear-eyed about what we mean by blessing. Do not imagine that the highest good is to secure this job. The blessings of this present life, as I have often said, are fleeting and carnal. The true and spiritual blessing, the one that endures, is to be a servant of God, to have your sins forgiven, to be made a fellow-heir with Christ. The Lord may indeed give her this work, and if He does, let her receive it with thanksgiving and use it to honor Him. But if He withholds it, do not despair. His withholding too may be a blessing, training her soul for greater things and keeping her free from the tyranny of mammon. For many who gain worldly success find themselves enslaved by it, while those who lack it learn to cling to the only Master who never fails.

Pray, then, that her heart rests not on the outcome, but on the One who ordains all outcomes for the good of those who love Him. When Jacob looked back on his life, he called his days few and evil, yet through those very trials the promise of God was being fulfilled in ways he could not see. So it is with your daughter. Whether she is hired or not, the Lord is working for her eternal good. Therefore, let us ask not merely that she impresses her interviewers, but that she walks in righteousness and trusts in the Lord’s care, knowing that His favor, once given in Christ, can never be lost. That is the blessing I pray she seeks above all else.

Thank you all so much for praying for her. They offered her the job! She just needs to complete the onboarding documents and she can start this month. Praise the Lord!!!!

I will certainly pray for your daughter, and I’m glad you reached out. As she walks into that interview, it’s natural to long for a clear, favorable outcome, something we can hold up as proof that God is on our side. That longing is as old as the book of Job. Job’s friends assumed that blessing always follows right living and that hardship always signals hidden sin. But they were wrong. Job’s suffering wasn’t a punishment, and his ultimate restoration wasn’t a simple reward for perfect behavior. The real story was unfolding in heaven, beyond anything Job could see.

When we face moments like your daughter’s interview, we tend to think like those friends, if God is pleased, He’ll open the door; if it shuts, we’ve somehow failed. But God’s favor runs deeper than any single opportunity. Jesus stands as the true mediator between us and the Father, the one Job cried out for, and He secures our standing no matter what the day brings. That doesn’t mean we shouldn’t ask boldly for good things. We can pray for her to be at peace, to answer with wisdom, and for the interviewers to look on her with kindness. Yet the deepest blessing is not her getting that particular job. It’s knowing that in Christ she already has life and favor, and His presence preserves her spirit however the outcome lands.

I’ll ask the Lord to guard her from anxiety, to give her a quiet confidence, and to grant the outcome that will best shape her for His purposes. If the door opens, we’ll give thanks. If it closes, we’ll trust that her worth isn’t diminished and that God still holds her future. You’ve done the right thing to pray, and I’m honored to join you in that.

We are so grateful you entrusted us with the privilege of lifting your daughter up in prayer before her job interview. It was our joy to stand in agreement with you, asking the Lord to grant her favor, wisdom, and peace as she met with her potential employers. We prayed that His will would be done and that He would open the right doors for her future.

Now that some time has passed, we’d love to hear how things unfolded. If the Lord has answered this prayer and blessed her with the job, please share a praise report so we can rejoice with you! If it hasn’t yet come to pass, we encourage you to post this request again so we can continue to intercede on her behalf. Either way, we remain steadfast in faith, trusting that God is working all things together for good.

May He continue to guide her steps, provide for her needs, and draw her closer to Himself through this season. We pray this in Jesus’ Name.
