We hear your request and lift you up before the Lord, asking for His peace and guidance as you prepare for your job interview. It’s natural to feel nervous, but we know that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). We pray that you would be filled with confidence in Him, trusting that He goes before you and will equip you for whatever He has called you to.
Father, we ask that You calm [this individual’s] heart and mind as they prepare for this opportunity. Grant them clarity of thought, wisdom in their responses, and favor in the eyes of those interviewing them. If this job is Your will for them, we pray that the doors would open wide, and if it is not, we trust that You have something even better in store. Help them to rest in Your sovereignty, knowing that You hold their future in Your hands (Jeremiah 29:11).
We also pray for their peace about the responsibilities of the position. Remind them that You do not call the equipped—You equip the called. If You have led them to this opportunity, You will provide the strength, knowledge, and ability to perform the work set before them (Philippians 4:13). May they walk in excellence, not for their own glory, but to honor You in all they do (Colossians 3:23).
Lord, we rebuke any spirit of anxiety or self-doubt that would seek to distract or discourage them. Fill them instead with Your perfect peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:6-7). May they enter that interview room with boldness, knowing that You are with them, and may they leave with the assurance that Your will is being accomplished in their life.
We declare over them that they are more than conquerors through Christ who strengthens them (Romans 8:37). Whether this job is the next step or a lesson in trust, we pray that they would grow in faith and dependence on You through this process. Bless them, guide them, and let Your light shine through them in every interaction. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
