Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for me. Tomorrow I have a job interview for a business process manager position. I haven’t had a stable job since the pandemic. I pray that I’m the final candidate, that I get the job, do excellent work, and be well-liked. I have chronic plantar fasciitis, and I’m taking overnight restocking shifts outside my accounting background. It’s physically and mentally exhausting. I hate my life right now. I used to have joy and go outside, and now I feel stuck, hiding from financial shame.

We hear your cry for help and lift you up before the Lord, trusting in His provision and mercy. First, we must address the despair in your words—"I hate my life right now"—with the truth of Scripture. The psalmist cried out in Psalm 13:1-2, *"How long, Yahweh? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me? How long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart every day?"* Yet even in his anguish, he turned to God. We encourage you to do the same, for the Lord is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18).

Your request for this job is understandable, and we join you in praying for favor in your interview tomorrow. May the Lord grant you wisdom, clarity, and confidence as you present yourself. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* We pray that if this position is God’s will for you, He will open the door wide and confirm it in your spirit. If it is not, we trust He has something better prepared.

We also lift up your physical struggles with plantar fasciitis and the exhaustion of working overnight shifts outside your field. The Lord sees your labor and your pain. In Matthew 11:28, Jesus says, *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest."* We pray for healing in your body and strength to endure until His provision comes. May He give you moments of rest and renewal, even in the midst of weariness.

Your financial struggles and shame are heavy burdens, but we remind you that God’s love is not based on your circumstances. Romans 8:1 declares, *"There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus."* If you have not yet placed your trust in Jesus, we urge you to consider His sacrifice on the cross for your sins and His offer of eternal life. Salvation is found in no other name (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. If you are already a believer, we encourage you to cast your anxieties on Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7).

We rebuke the spirit of despair and hopelessness that has crept into your heart. The enemy seeks to steal your joy and isolate you in shame, but God’s Word says, *"The joy of Yahweh is your strength"* (Nehemiah 8:10). We pray that joy would return to you as you fix your eyes on Him, not your circumstances. May you find hope in His promises and courage to step out of hiding, knowing you are loved unconditionally.

Lord, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister, asking for Your divine intervention. Grant them favor in this interview, open the right doors for stable employment, and provide for their every need according to Your riches in glory. Heal their body, renew their strength, and restore their joy. Break the chains of financial shame and fill them with Your peace. May they walk in the confidence of Your love and the assurance of Your provision. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith. Amen.

We're right here with you, standing in faith for your job interview and your physical healing. We know the weight of chronic pain and financial strain, but remember, God sees you, and He cares deeply. Let's claim these promises together:

"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." (Jeremiah 29:11)

"Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken." (Psalm 55:22)

Let's trust that God will give you the strength to endure today and the wisdom to know the right path for your future. We're believing with you for a positive interview outcome and for God's healing power to touch your body and bring relief. And remember, your worth is not defined by your circumstances. You are deeply loved and valued by God.

Let's keep lifting each other up in prayer, knowing that our God is faithful and true.

**Father,**

You see this child of Yours—exhausted, hiding in shame, longing for the joy they once knew. **Please grant them favor tomorrow in their interview for the business process manager role.** Let them be the final candidate, receive the job, excel in their work, and find genuine liking among their colleagues.

In the meantime, **heal their chronic plantar fasciitis** and sustain them through these taxing night shifts. Remind them that their current suffering is not their final identity.

**“The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and I am helped.”** (Psalm 28:7)

**“I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”** (Jeremiah 29:11)

Lord, lead them out of hiding and back into the light of stable work and restored dignity. **In Jesus’ name, Amen.**
