Dear God please help me keep my job and my wife and our family and our home and please help me to not be an alcoholic anymore. Please soften the hearts of my wife and my coworkers and my customers and my boss. Please help me sober up this morning and to get to work on time and please help me have a good day today. Thank you

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this earnest plea to our Heavenly Father in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We recognize the weight of these struggles—employment, marriage, sobriety, and the well-being of a family—and we stand with you in agreement, believing that God hears and answers the cries of His children.

First, we must acknowledge that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). Jesus Himself said, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me"* (John 14:6). If you have not already, we encourage you to confess Jesus as Lord, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and receive the gift of salvation (Romans 10:9-10). This is the foundation upon which all other prayers and petitions rest.

Now, let us address the specific burdens you carry. Alcoholism is a fierce battle, but we serve a God who is greater than any addiction. The Bible tells us, *"No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it"* (1 Corinthians 10:13). We rebuke the spirit of addiction in the name of Jesus and declare that today is the day of deliverance! The Lord is your strength, and He will help you overcome this struggle. We pray that you would turn to Him in your moments of weakness, for His grace is sufficient (2 Corinthians 12:9).

We also lift up your marriage and family. Marriage is a sacred covenant, designed by God to reflect the relationship between Christ and His Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). We pray that your wife’s heart would be softened toward you, not in bitterness or resentment, but in love and forgiveness. May the Lord restore what has been broken and fill your home with peace, unity, and joy. We encourage you to pursue your wife with the same love and devotion that Christ has for His Bride. *"Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself up for it"* (Ephesians 5:25). Let your actions and words reflect the love of Christ, and may your marriage be a testimony to His grace.

Regarding your job, we pray for favor with your boss, coworkers, and customers. May the Lord grant you wisdom, diligence, and a spirit of excellence in all that you do. *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men"* (Colossians 3:23). We ask that God would open doors of opportunity for you and that your work would be a blessing to others. We also pray for soberness and clarity of mind as you begin your day. May the Lord strengthen you to resist temptation and give you the discipline to arrive at work on time, with a heart ready to serve.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this brother who is struggling with addiction, employment, and the desire to honor You in his marriage. Lord, we ask that You would break the chains of alcoholism in his life. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit and give him the strength to resist temptation. Soften the hearts of his wife, coworkers, boss, and customers, and let Your favor rest upon him in his workplace.

Father, we pray for restoration in his marriage. Heal any wounds, mend any brokenness, and fill their home with Your peace. Help him to love his wife as Christ loves the Church, and may their marriage be a reflection of Your grace and mercy.

Lord, we ask that You would grant him soberness this morning and every morning. Give him the discipline to arrive at work on time and the wisdom to perform his duties with excellence. Provide for his family’s needs and protect their home.

We declare that today is the day of victory in Jesus’ name! We rebuke every spirit of addiction, fear, and discouragement, and we proclaim freedom, favor, and restoration over this family. Thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer and for answering according to Your will. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to stand on God’s promises and trust in His faithfulness. The battle may be difficult, but remember that *"greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world"* (1 John 4:4). Surround yourself with fellow believers who can support and pray for you, and continue to seek the Lord with all your heart. He is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6). Keep pressing forward, and do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, you will reap if you do not faint (Galatians 6:9).

We're right here with you, brother. We know the weight of these struggles, but we hold onto the promise that God is always with us, even in the darkest times. Let's lean into His strength together.

First, let's remind ourselves of who we are in Christ. We are His beloved children, saved by His grace, and that's a powerful truth to stand on. Now, let's tackle those burdens one by one.

For your struggle with alcohol, we claim the victory that Jesus has already won for us. We declare that today is the day of freedom from that addiction. We pray that the Lord would fill you with His Holy Spirit, giving you the strength to resist temptation and the courage to walk in sobriety. We also ask that the Lord would soften the hearts of those around you - your wife, coworkers, boss, and customers - so that they may understand, support, and encourage you in your journey.

For your marriage and family, we lift them up to the Lord. We pray for restoration and healing in your relationship with your wife. We ask that the Lord would fill your home with peace, unity, and joy. We encourage you to love your wife as Christ loves the Church, with a selfless, sacrificial love.

As for your job, we pray for favor and wisdom. We ask that the Lord would open doors of opportunity for you, and that your work would be a blessing to others. We also pray for soberness and clarity of mind as you begin your day. We trust that the Lord will strengthen you to resist temptation and give you the discipline to arrive at work on time, with a heart ready to serve.

Let's pray together:

Lord, we come before You today, interceding for our brother who is struggling with addiction, employment, and the desire to honor You in his marriage. Lord, we ask that You would break the chains of alcoholism in his life. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit and give him the strength to resist temptation. Soften the hearts of those around him, and let Your favor rest upon him in his workplace.

Lord, we pray for restoration in his marriage.

Provide for his family's needs and protect their home.

We declare that today is the day of victory in Jesus' name! We rebuke every spirit of addiction, fear, and discouragement, and we proclaim freedom, favor, and restoration over this family. Thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer and for answering according to Your will. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Keep standing on God's promises, brother. Trust in His faithfulness. The battle may be difficult, but remember, greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. Surround yourself with fellow believers who can support and pray for you. Keep seeking the Lord with all your heart. He is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in you. Keep pressing forward, and don't grow weary in doing good, for in due season, you will reap if you do not faint. You've got this, with God by your side.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
