Dear God please help me at work today. Please soften the hearts of my bosses and my coworkers and my customers and especially my wife. Please forgive me for not being a better husband and a better employee and a better man. Please forgive my wife because she hates me. We have both been alcoholics and smoking cigarettes for so many years. Please help me I'm scared of losing my job and my wife and my health. Please help me not have AUD anymore and to be able to get my projects done correctly and on time! Please help me get back to work today

We come before You, Lord God, with heavy hearts, lifting up this brother in Christ who is crying out for Your mercy and grace. We see the weight of his burdens—fear of losing his job, his marriage, and his health—and we recognize the deep conviction in his words as he confesses his struggles with alcohol, cigarettes, and the strain in his relationship with his wife. Father, we know that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We stand in the gap for him, asking that You would move mightily in his life today and in the days to come.

First, we acknowledge that this brother has called on the name of Jesus, and it is only through the blood of Your Son that we have access to You. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We thank You for the gift of salvation and the promise that if we confess our sins, You are faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). Lord, we ask that You would wash over this brother with Your forgiveness and renewal. Help him to walk in the freedom that Christ died to give him, leaving behind the chains of addiction and sin that have held him captive for so long.

We rebuke the spirit of addiction in the name of Jesus. Alcohol and nicotine have no place in the life of a believer, for our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). We declare that this brother is no longer a slave to these substances but is set free by the power of the cross. We pray for Your strength to overcome every temptation, for You have promised that no temptation will overtake us except what is common to man, and You will provide a way of escape (1 Corinthians 10:13). Lord, give him the courage to take that way of escape today and every day.

We also lift up his marriage, Lord. The Scriptures tell us that marriage is a sacred covenant, a reflection of Christ’s love for the Church (Ephesians 5:25-33). We rebuke the spirit of strife, bitterness, and unforgiveness that has taken root in this home. Father, soften the heart of this brother’s wife. Where there is hatred, plant love. Where there is resentment, plant grace. Where there is division, plant unity. We pray that both of them would turn to You with repentant hearts, seeking Your healing and restoration. Lord, if there has been any unfaithfulness, abuse, or sin that has broken the trust in this marriage, we ask that You would reveal it and bring it into the light so that true repentance and reconciliation can take place. Help them to forgive one another as You have forgiven them (Colossians 3:13).

We also pray for this brother’s work life, Lord. You have called us to work as unto You, not as unto men (Colossians 3:23). We ask that You would give him wisdom, focus, and discipline to complete his projects with excellence and on time. Soften the hearts of his bosses, coworkers, and customers so that they may see Your hand at work in him. If there has been laziness, dishonesty, or a lack of integrity in his work, we ask that You would convict him and lead him to make it right. Provide for his needs, Lord, and give him peace in the midst of uncertainty.

Father, we know that fear is not from You, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We rebuke the spirit of fear that has gripped this brother’s heart. Replace it with Your perfect peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Remind him that You are his Provider, his Protector, and his Healer. Even if his worst fears were to come to pass, You are still on Your throne, and You will never leave him nor forsake him (Hebrews 13:5).

We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the name that brings salvation, healing, and deliverance. Lord, we ask that You would pour out Your Holy Spirit upon this brother in a fresh and powerful way. Fill him with Your presence so that he may walk in victory over sin, addiction, and fear. Give him a hunger for Your Word and a desire to seek You above all else. Surround him with godly men who can encourage him, hold him accountable, and walk alongside him in his journey of faith.

We declare that today is a new day. The old has passed away, and behold, all things are becoming new (2 Corinthians 5:17). We speak life, healing, and restoration over this brother’s marriage, his job, his health, and his soul. May he rise up in the strength of the Lord and walk in the fullness of the destiny You have for him. We trust You, Father, to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We're here with you, brother. We understand the weight of your burdens and the depth of your convictions. Today, let's lean into Jesus together. We pray for strength to face your fears, courage to take that way of escape, and faith to trust in God's unfailing love. We declare that your marriage will be a reflection of Christ's love for the Church, your work will be done with excellence, and your health will be restored. We're believing with you for a new day, filled with life, healing, and restoration. In Jesus' name, we pray.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer over these past days. It has been our heartfelt honor to lift your burdens to the Lord—your struggles at work, your marriage, your health, and the chains of addiction that have weighed so heavily upon you. We have prayed that God would soften hearts, including your wife’s, and that He would break the strongholds of alcohol and nicotine in both of your lives. We have asked Him to strengthen you as an employee, a husband, and a man, and to quiet the fears that threaten to overwhelm you.

If God has moved in any of these areas—if you’ve sensed His peace, seen glimpses of His provision, or felt His hand guiding you—we would be overjoyed to hear your praise report. Your testimony could be a light to others walking through similar valleys. If, however, the answers haven’t come yet, or if the battle still feels too heavy to bear, please don’t hesitate to post this request again. We are here to continue praying with you, to remind you that you are not alone, and to trust with you that God is working even when the wait feels long.

We will keep asking our Father to restore what has been broken, to give you the strength to complete your work with excellence, and to draw your wife closer to His heart—and to yours. May He fill you with His courage, His wisdom, and His hope as you press into Him. You are seen, you are loved, and we believe God is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in you.

In Jesus’ Name we pray. Amen.
