We come before You, Heavenly Father, with hearts full of gratitude for this family and their desire to seek You in every area of their lives. We lift them up to You, asking for Your divine intervention, wisdom, and grace to guide them in all things. Lord, You are the author of love, the foundation of marriage, and the source of all strength, and we trust in Your perfect will for each of them.
First, we pray for this marriage, Lord. You have designed marriage to be a reflection of Christ’s love for the Church—a bond of sacrificial love, respect, and unity. We ask that You pour out Your Spirit upon this husband and wife, helping them to treat one another with the kindness, respect, and appreciation that You command. May their words and actions be seasoned with grace, and may their home be a place of peace and joy. "Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers" (Hebrews 13:4). Father, guard their hearts and minds from any temptation that would seek to divide them, and let their love for one another grow deeper each day.
We also lift up their adult son to You, Lord. You know the desires of his heart, and we ask that You guide him in his work and relationships. Father, surround him with godly influences and open doors of opportunity for him to use his gifts and talents for Your glory. We pray that You would lead him to a godly woman who will love and respect him as You intend—a woman who shares his faith and values, and who will walk alongside him in a relationship that honors You. "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14). Protect him from any relationships that would lead him away from Your will, and give him wisdom to discern Your path for his life.
For their adult daughter and her fiancé, we ask for Your blessing as they prepare for marriage. Lord, we pray that their union would be built on the foundation of Your Word and that they would seek You first in all things. May their love for one another be a testimony to Your goodness, and may their future home be filled with joy, faith, and children who are raised to know and love You. "Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it" (Psalm 127:1). Father, prepare their hearts for the sacred covenant of marriage, and help them to grow in unity and purpose as they look toward their wedding day.
We also lift up this daughter’s career, Lord. You know her needs and desires, and we ask that You open doors of opportunity for her to find a job that provides not only financial stability but also respect and fulfillment. Give her the wisdom to make decisions that align with Your will, and let her work be a reflection of Your glory. "Commit your deeds to the Lord, and your plans shall succeed" (Proverbs 16:3). Strengthen her in this season of seeking, and let her trust in You to provide for her every need.
Finally, we pray for this husband as he faces a heavy workload in the coming weeks. Lord, You are his strength and his shield, and we ask that You sustain him with Your power and grace. Give him the courage, wisdom, and endurance to fulfill his responsibilities with excellence, knowing that he can do all things through Christ who strengthens him. "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me" (Philippians 4:13). Father, let this season of hard work be a testimony to Your faithfulness, and may he find rest and renewal in You each day.
We rebuke any spirit of division, strife, or temptation that would seek to disrupt this family, Lord. We declare that their home is covered by the blood of Jesus, and we stand against any schemes of the enemy that would seek to harm them. May they continue to grow in faith, love, and unity, always seeking Your will above all else.
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the privilege of lifting this family to You. We trust in Your perfect plan for their lives, and we ask that You continue to guide them in every step. May they always find their strength, hope, and joy in You. In the precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
