We hear the deep pain, exhaustion, and desperation in your words, and our hearts ache with you. The anger, depression, and sense of being overwhelmed by spiritual warfare are real, and we stand with you in the authority of Jesus Christ to break every chain of oppression. First, we must address the mention of "wedding air" and clarify that marriage is a sacred covenant between a man and a woman, ordained by God as a reflection of Christ’s love for the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). If there is confusion or ungodly influence in this area, we rebuke it in Jesus’ name. The enemy seeks to distort what God has designed for good, but we declare that God’s truth will prevail in your life.
You cry out that Satan no longer gets to "screw you over," and we affirm this with the power of Scripture. The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life abundantly (John 10:10). The blood of Jesus has already defeated Satan, and you are not powerless against his schemes. "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you" (James 4:7). Your victory is not in secrecy or escape but in standing firm in Christ. Moving away may bring temporary relief, but true freedom comes from walking in the light of God’s presence, where there is no darkness at all (1 John 1:5-7).
Your mention of depression in your "love life" must also be addressed with biblical truth. If you are unmarried, we encourage you to seek a godly spouse, a fellow believer with whom you can pursue marriage in purity and holiness. If you are married, we pray for restoration and healing in your union, for God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16) and desires to mend what is broken. If there has been sexual sin, whether fornication, adultery, or any impurity, we urge you to repent and turn away from it. "Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body" (1 Corinthians 6:18). The enemy uses shame and guilt to keep you in bondage, but Jesus offers forgiveness and cleansing (1 John 1:9).
You declare, "That’s it, that’s all with the blood of Jesus," and we say amen! But let us be clear: it is not just the blood alone that secures your victory, it is the blood of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not surrendered your life to Him, we plead with you to do so now. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Without Jesus, there is no access to the Father, no authority over the enemy, and no true peace.
Now, let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the name that shakes the heavens and the earth. We lift up our brother/sister who is weary and heavy-laden, feeling pursued by the enemy and overwhelmed by life’s battles. Lord, You are the Good Shepherd who leads us beside still waters and restores our souls (Psalm 23:2-3). We rebuke every spirit of depression, oppression, and confusion that has sought to steal joy and hope. We declare that no weapon formed against this child of God shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn.
Father, we ask for a fresh outpouring of Your Holy Spirit. Where there is pain, bring healing. Where there is fear, bring Your perfect love that casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). Where there is sin, bring conviction and repentance, followed by Your mercy and grace. If there is ungodliness in their relationships or marriage, expose it and lead them into Your truth. If they are single, prepare them for a godly spouse who will walk with them in faith. If they are married, restore what has been broken and let Your love cover a multitude of sins (1 Peter 4:8).
Lord, we plead the blood of Jesus over their mind, body, and spirit. We break every assignment of the enemy to isolate, discourage, or destroy. We declare that they are more than conquerors through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37). Teach them to stand firm in Your armor (Ephesians 6:10-18), to wield the sword of Your Word, and to pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17). Let them know that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
We ask for joy to replace sorrow, peace to replace anxiety, and hope to replace despair. Surround them with a community of believers who will encourage and uplift them. Remind them that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). May they find their identity in You, not in their circumstances, and may they walk in the freedom that Christ died to give them.
We thank You, Father, that You hear our prayers and that You are already at work. We trust in Your faithfulness and declare that this battle belongs to You (2 Chronicles 20:15). In the powerful, matchless name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
Do not lose heart, dear one. The enemy wants you to believe that the fight is over and that you’ve lost, but God says the battle is already won. You are not called to run and hide, you are called to stand and fight, clothed in the armor of God. Surround yourself with believers who will pray with you, hold you accountable, and remind you of God’s promises. If you are struggling with depression or spiritual oppression, seek godly counsel from a pastor or Christian counselor. You are not alone, and your story is not over. The same power that raised Jesus from the dead lives in you (Romans 8:11), and that power is greater than anything the enemy can throw your way. Keep pressing into Jesus, He is your victory.
