Is sin hereditary?

We know that we all inherited sin from Adam and Eve's rebellion. We know that much, BUT I noticed in 3 or 4 different families a certain tendency, and I wonder if it's more than coincidence, if there's something to it. Let's see. I mean, certain SPECIFIC sins that seem to run wild in certain families, whereas other families may not have that SPECIFIC sin. Examples? Well, there was this family I knew, almost every last one of them was into the occult, they would get together and hold seances, go to spiritist camps, see "gurus", etc. Really into the "deep things of Satan", as the Bible puts it. But you know what? They also received the same judgment, they all died of the same disease, leukemia. Coincidence? Okay, not enough to make us question, there was another family I know who, their "sin of choice" was drugs, and conning people out of money {including each other.} There was also a family who, the whole family was into some kind of illegal activity. Another family I know, they make a habit out of going through life mooching off of everyone instead of trying to be independent. {They mooch off each other, too.} Sooo… the question to me becomes, although we all have general sin, I notice that certain whole families seem to have a leaning towards the SAME sin, is that more than coincidence, like a "hereditary" factor, like whereas some "inherit" brown eyes, does being in a certain family give you a tendency towards x sin? Like, the devil misleads the whole family with the same exact sin, why, because that family has a tendency towards the sin, and the devil knows it? If not, then why do these families I mentioned all lean towards the same specific sin? Somehow, I think it's more than coincidence.

Got Questions has info to get you started. I enjoy research on these topics. There is much info on this. I have to log off now but you should look it up!!

If anyone asks forgiveness and stays away from sin and evil before the Lord, then generation curses does not work because the Blood of Jesus has taken all away from us. But if you continue to watch porn, cheat and spamm then, your sin will find you out. Ask forgiveness and Jesus will heal your troubled soul.

One thing I can count on, you'll always criticize everything I do.

I have put a like on a lot of your posts ###. I honestly don't see the point in some of your posts like your posts that say everyone wants something from you. Why post something that is an out and out lie ###?

No. The Lord punishes generations. I actually asked for forgiveness for this!! Do a Google search. It is no coincidence!!
Exodus 34v7 maintaining love to thousands, and forgiving wickedness, rebellion and sin. Yet he does not leave the guilty unpunished; he punishes the children and their children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation.”

I pray that none should suffer the transgressions that were put upon them like a foundation atop of the footers God had poured. It is in my hope in the Host of hosts, that we shall not suffer the transgressions of our forefathers, to be counted as our sins.
Psalm 118:22
The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone.

I belong to Jesus. He has taken everything I had been carrying all along and His Blood cleanse every single sin I had committet. I am free to serve Him. to love Him and to praise Him. I give Him all the glory and all the praise now and forever more. Amen

Sin itself is hereditary (Romans 3:23) tells us "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. That means whether we are Christians or not we are susceptible to sin. However, one who follows Christ has the power through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit to break the cycle of dysfunction he or she has experienced in his family. Deuteronomy 24:16 clearly states that God punishes people for their own sins, not the sins of others. Exodus 20:5 states that the effect of sin and disobedience is powerful and can affect future generations of those that love me and keep my commandment. The passage is referring to those who choose to follow the footsteps of their parents. In Chronicles, there were good kings who had bad fathers.
