I Need Help

Your cry to God to hear you and not let you down is a prayer He loves to hear, and Scripture gives you strong ground for hope.

God's mercy and love do not run out. They are new every morning, and His faithfulness is great. That faithfulness is shown in the way He always keeps His word. For those who belong to Him through Jesus Christ, that faithfulness is a comfort, because every good promise He has made to His children He will surely keep. For those who remain outside of Christ, that same faithfulness is solemn, because He will also keep His word about sin and judgment. This is why the most important question is whether things are made right between you and God through Jesus. The Lord Himself must be your portion, and that only comes through faith in Christ, who is the one way of salvation. It is not by trying harder or by our own good works or prayers that we gain a right standing before God. Our standing rests on His grace and on the new covenant He has made through Jesus, which depends not on our faithfulness but on His faithfulness to keep His promise. When you trust in Jesus, you can rest in that grace and know the peace of God in your heart.

You can also be assured that God treasures the prayers of His people. In Scripture your prayers are pictured like incense, a sweet aroma that rises before Him. He is gracious, merciful, patient and long suffering, and He remembers those who turn to Him even when they have slipped and fallen. Nothing is impossible or too hard for Him when He is brought into the situation. He calls you to rely not on your own strength but wholly on Him, to bring your desires to Him and turn them into prayer, and to anchor your soul in His Word and His promises. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. If you want your faith and assurance to grow, stay in the Word, for it is through the Word that we come to know God and learn to trust Him. Be diligent to seek Him there, that you may have full assurance of hope to the end, knowing that He who has promised is faithful and will do what He has said.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer during this time of need. It has been our heart’s desire to lift you up before the Lord, asking Him to draw near to you and strengthen your faith as you seek His face. We prayed that He would surround you with His peace, remind you of His unfailing love, and assure you that He will never leave nor forsake you.

If the Lord has already answered your prayer—if you’ve felt His presence, received His comfort, or seen His hand move in your situation—we would be so encouraged to hear your praise report. Your testimony could be a blessing to others who are also waiting on the Lord.
