Disciple of Prayer
My Greatest concern about my life is that I feel directionless, I feel as if I am just tossing to and fro. When I look back over my life I am approaching 30 and there is so much I should have done that I didn't do I wasted my teenage years my twenties and I'm trying to escape to constant whirlpool or regret and stagnation of not having achieved anything tangible. I struggle with my fleshy desires that constantly plague me. The temptation my addiction to pornography, the spirit of lying that rests upon me, procrastination, laziness, the spirit of 'Caa bada', extremely poor money management (That's left me trying to escape debt) I'm trapped in a constant borrowing cycle) , starting a task quitting midway. I could go on and on and on I just want a fresh start I want the will to do the work to really fight it.

We hear your cry for deliverance and a fresh start, and we come before the throne of grace with you, lifting up your burdens to the Lord. Your feelings of directionlessness and regret are heavy, but we serve a God who specializes in making all things new. The Word of God assures us in 2 Corinthians 5:17, "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new." This is not just a promise—it is a reality for those who surrender fully to Jesus Christ.

First, we must address the foundation of your faith. Salvation is the starting point for true deliverance and transformation. Have you confessed Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead? Romans 10:9-10 tells us, "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." If you have not yet made this confession, we urge you to do so now. There is no deliverance, no victory, and no lasting change outside of Christ. Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." Only through Him can you find the direction, purpose, and power to overcome the struggles you face.

Now, let us address the specific areas where you feel bound. The addiction to pornography is a snare of the enemy, designed to steal your purity, distort your view of God’s design for intimacy, and keep you in bondage. Scripture is clear in 1 Corinthians 6:18-20, "Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s." This sin is not just a personal struggle—it is an offense against the Holy Spirit who dwells within you. We rebuke the spirit of lust and perversion in the name of Jesus and command it to loose its grip on you. You must also take practical steps: install accountability software, flee from temptation, and fill your mind with God’s Word. Psalm 119:9 asks, "How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to your word." Memorize Scripture, meditate on it, and let it renew your mind.

The spirit of lying is another stronghold that must be torn down. Proverbs 12:22 tells us, "Lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh, but those who do the truth are his delight." Lies create a web of deception that ensnares you and others, preventing true freedom and trust. We rebuke the spirit of deception and command it to leave you in Jesus’ name. Speak the truth in every situation, even when it is difficult. Confess your struggles to a trusted brother in Christ who can pray with you and hold you accountable. James 5:16 says, "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective."

Procrastination, laziness, and quitting halfway through tasks are symptoms of a deeper issue—a lack of discipline and stewardship over the life God has given you. Proverbs 13:4 warns, "The soul of the sluggard desires, and has nothing, but the desire of the diligent shall be fully satisfied." You must cultivate discipline, starting with small, manageable steps. Set goals, create a schedule, and hold yourself accountable. Ecclesiastes 9:10 says, "Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might." The enemy wants you to believe you are incapable of change, but Philippians 4:13 declares, "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me." You are not powerless—you have the Holy Spirit living within you, and He empowers you to overcome.

Your struggles with money management are also a spiritual issue. The love of money and poor stewardship can lead to bondage, as 1 Timothy 6:10 warns, "For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows." We rebuke the spirit of poverty and lack in Jesus’ name. God is not a God of debt and bondage; He is a God of provision and freedom. Proverbs 22:7 says, "The rich rule over the poor. The borrower is servant to the lender." You must break the cycle of borrowing by creating a budget, living within your means, and seeking godly counsel on financial stewardship. Malachi 3:10 challenges us, "Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says Yahweh of Armies, “and see if I will not open the windows of heaven for you, and pour out a blessing for you, that there will not be room enough for."

The regret and stagnation you feel are tools the enemy uses to keep you focused on the past rather than the future God has for you. Isaiah 43:18-19 says, "Don’t remember the former things, and don’t consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing. It springs out now. Don’t you know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert." God is not finished with you. He has a plan and a purpose for your life, and it is never too late to start walking in it. Jeremiah 29:11 assures us, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says Yahweh, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name. We lift up this dear brother who is crying out for deliverance and a fresh start. Lord, we thank You that You are a God who makes all things new. We confess that without You, there is no hope, no direction, and no victory. We ask that You would reveal Yourself to him in a powerful way, drawing him closer to You and filling him with the knowledge of Your will.

Father, we rebuke every spirit of lust, perversion, lying, deception, procrastination, laziness, poverty, and lack in the name of Jesus. We command these spirits to loose their grip on his life and flee from him. We declare that he is no longer a slave to sin but a child of God, set free by the blood of Jesus. We break every chain of addiction, every cycle of debt, and every pattern of failure. We speak life, purpose, and discipline over his life.

Lord, we ask that You would fill him with Your Holy Spirit, giving him the strength and will to do the work required to walk in freedom. Help him to flee from temptation, to speak the truth in love, and to steward his time, talents, and finances wisely. Give him a vision for his future and the discipline to pursue it. Surround him with godly men who can encourage him, pray with him, and hold him accountable.

Father, we ask that You would heal his heart from the regrets of the past. Remind him that Your mercies are new every morning and that You are not finished with him yet. Give him hope for the future and the courage to step into the plans You have for him. We declare that he is a new creation in Christ, and we speak blessing, favor, and breakthrough over his life.

We pray all of this in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Brother, we want to encourage you to take these steps today:
1. **Surrender to Jesus Christ** if you have not already. Confess Him as Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead. This is the first and most critical step.
2. **Find a local church** where you can grow in your faith, be discipled, and find accountability. Hebrews 10:24-25 says, "Let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching."
3. **Seek deliverance prayer** from mature believers who can stand with you in faith. James 4:7 says, "Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."
4. **Take practical steps** to break free from sin: install accountability software, create a budget, set goals, and surround yourself with people who will encourage you in righteousness.
5. **Fill your mind with God’s Word**. Psalm 119:11 says, "I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you." Memorize Scripture and meditate on it daily.
6. **Serve others**. One of the best ways to break free from self-pity and stagnation is to focus on serving God and others. Galatians 5:13 says, "For you, brothers, were called for freedom. Only don’t use your freedom for gain to the flesh, but through love be servants to one another."

You are not alone in this battle. The same power that raised Jesus from the dead lives in you, and greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Keep pressing in, keep fighting, and never give up. Your breakthrough is coming.

Dear friend, we hear your cry for deliverance and a fresh start. We stand with you in prayer, believing that God is more than able to turn your situation around. Here's what we want to share with you today:

First, we want to remind you that God is a God of second chances, fresh starts, and new beginnings. In Lamentations 3:22-23, it's written, "The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." Know that God is not finished with you yet. He has a plan and a purpose for your life, and He wants to help you overcome the struggles you're facing.

We want to encourage you to surrender fully to Jesus Christ. He is the only way to true deliverance and transformation. In John 14:6, Jesus says, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." Trust in Him, and believe that He can help you overcome your addiction to pornography, the spirit of lying, procrastination, laziness, and poor money management.

We also want to remind you that you are not alone in this fight. You have the Holy Spirit living inside of you, and He empowers you to overcome. In Philippians 4:13, it's written, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Trust in His power, and believe that He can help you break free from the cycles of sin and debt that you've been struggling with.

We want to encourage you to take practical steps towards freedom. This might look like installing accountability software, creating a budget, setting goals, and surrounding yourself with people who will encourage you in righteousness. It might also look like serving others and filling your mind with God's Word. In Psalm 119:11, it's written, "I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you."

Remember, God is with you every step of the way. He loves you, and He wants the best for you. Trust in Him, and believe that He can help you overcome the struggles you're facing. You are not alone, and you are never too far gone for God's love and grace.

We pray this in Jesus' name. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
