We hear your cry, dear one, and we lift you up before the throne of grace with hearts heavy for your pain. You are not worthless, you are deeply loved by the Father, even when the darkness whispers otherwise. The enemy wants you to believe that God is distant, that His promises are empty, and that your struggles define you. But we stand in the truth of Scripture to declare otherwise.

The Word says, "The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit" (Psalm 34:18). Even when you cannot feel His presence, He is there. His silence does not mean His absence. You are not the worst sinner, none of us could stand before a holy God without the blood of Jesus covering us. "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus" (Romans 3:23-24). Your worth is not found in your job, your education, or your circumstances, but in the fact that Christ died for you while you were still a sinner (Romans 5:8).

We rebuke the spirit of despair and oppression that has weighed you down. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you might have life abundantly (John 10:10). You are under attack, but you are not without defense. "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you" (James 4:7). Stand firm in the armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18), for greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).

You ask if God keeps His word. He does. Every promise in Scripture is "Yes" and "Amen" in Christ (2 Corinthians 1:20). If you feel He has not kept a promise, we encourage you to search the Word and examine your heart. Are you holding onto bitterness, unforgiveness, or unrepentant sin? "If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me" (Psalm 66:18). Confess any known sin and turn from it, for He is faithful and just to forgive and cleanse you (1 John 1:9).

Your spiritual dryness is not permanent. Even Elijah, after a great victory, fled in despair and asked God to take his life (1 Kings 19). But God did not abandon him, He provided rest, nourishment, and a fresh encounter with His presence. You, too, need restoration. "Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me" (Psalm 51:10). Cry out to Him, even if it feels like a whisper. "The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise" (Psalm 51:17).

We also lift up your struggle with work and provision. The Lord knows your needs, and He has promised to supply them according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). But we must also ask: Are you seeking His kingdom first, or are you consumed with worry? "Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you" (Matthew 6:33). Trust Him, even when the path is unclear.

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister who is hurting deeply. Lord, You see the pain in their heart, the weariness in their spirit, and the lies they have believed. We ask that You would break the chains of despair and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Remind them of Your unfailing love, love that sent Jesus to die for them while they were still sinners. Restore their soul, Lord. Renew their mind with Your truth. Help them to see themselves as You see them: fearfully and wonderfully made, redeemed by the blood of the Lamb, and deeply loved.

Father, we rebuke the spirit of oppression that has made them feel worthless and distant from You. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Strengthen them to resist the enemy’s lies and to stand firm in Your truth. Fill them with a hunger for Your Word and a desire to draw near to You. Meet them in their weakness, for Your power is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).

Lord, provide for their needs, financial, emotional, and spiritual. Open doors of opportunity that no man can shut, and give them favor in the workplace. Heal their heart from past disappointments and fill them with hope for the future. Remind them that You are their Provider, their Shepherd, and their Peace.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the Name above all names, the One who has conquered sin and death. May our brother/sister feel Your presence afresh today. May they know that they are never alone, for You have said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you" (Hebrews 13:5). In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Do not lose heart, dear one. The night is darkest just before the dawn. Keep crying out to Jesus, for He hears you. If you have not already, surrender your life fully to Him. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). He is your hope, your strength, and your salvation. We are praying for you.

We hear the ache in your words, and we’re so sorry you’re carrying this heavy burden right now. When you’re in that dark place, the sense that God is far away can feel overwhelmingly real, and it’s easy to believe you’re the worst sinner, or that God doesn’t love you. What you’re describing sounds a lot like what we’ve seen in others who are wrestling with depression: intense feelings of worthlessness, spiritual numbness, a loss of desire for Scripture, and a crushing distance from God. It’s not a sign that you’re abandoned; it’s often a symptom of the weight you’re under, both emotionally and maybe physically. God’s love and presence aren’t measured by our feelings, and they don’t fade when we can’t sense them.

If you haven’t already, we’d gently encourage you to reach out to a trusted doctor or a Christian counselor. Sometimes depression has a biological side that needs medical attention, and getting professional help can lift the fog that distorts everything, including your sense of God’s nearness. That’s not a lack of faith; it’s wisdom. You don’t have to fight this alone.

We’re praying with you now.

Jesus, we bring our friend before you in this painful season. Hold them steady when they can’t hold onto you. Quiet the lies that tell them they are worthless, and let your presence, even a tiny whisper, break through the numbness. We ask for your authority over every spiritual attack that adds to their despair, and for your healing to touch their mind and emotions. Open a door to steady, meaningful work that restores dignity and provision, and in your timing, breathe back the desire to open your Word. Let them know, in some quiet moment, that you have not let go. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The feeling of worthlessness and the sense that God is far off are not marks of final rejection, but often, in the mystery of His grace, the very path by which He draws souls to Himself. The most intimate love of God has seldom fallen to the lot of the great ones of this earth; God has full often chosen the poor and the broken in spirit. He is mighty and despises no one, you feel now as if God might very well pass you by, yet His power is so vast that all things are little to Him, and He stoops to the insignificant. The desire you have, even that faint groan within, is proof of His work. The soul’s desire for Him in darkness is the evidence of life, not death. God keeps you waiting, perhaps, that He may display the riches of His grace more fully to you at last.

The inability to read Scripture or listen to sermons, and the weight of demonic oppression, signals that you have begun to conceal the Words of God from your own heart. Ask God to search you and make you sensible of the danger of hiding from His truth, for there is no escaping a fact by forgetting it. Hide the Gospel in your heart, but hide it not from your heart, lest you sin against your own soul. The evil one whispers that God does not keep His word, but what do you doubt? Will you dare to throw mud upon the veracity of God? His promises are as sure as His throne; the circumstances of scorn and closed doors do not annul His covenant. Divine appointment rules human life, God guides every step, from the grain of dust to the comet’s path. Your present work, though it seems terrible and beneath your education, is not outside His rule. He is the God of the valleys as well as the hills. Do not misjudge His presence in the low places; God is in rugged souls, in the ravines of a broken heart, and in the caves of dread despair.

The miracle you cry for is not beyond His power. All that He has done proves but parts of His ways, how little a portion is heard of Him! He who delivered you from the power of darkness is able to deliver from this present attack. Deliverance from the power of sin is as much His work as deliverance from guilt; look to Him for sanctification as you did for justification. His grace has not come merely to keep you from a few vices, but to deliver you altogether from the domain of night. Cry to Jesus, for He has vanquished the powers of darkness; His might is not slack concerning His redeemed.

As for the scream within over money and smashed prospects, learn that the world is as barren of joy as the Sahara. Seek the kingdom of God and His righteousness first. The consolations of God deal with the source of sorrow, Jesus has come to save His people from their sins. If your joy is small, search yourself: has mistrust curdled the blessing? Yet even now, joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ is possible. This is not a joy dependent on tables full of comforts, but a deep well in the desert. Take down your harp from the willows. When you reach your door and hear bad news, still joy in God. He is your reconciliation, and in Him, even the valley of death is a place of restoration. The God of the hills will prove Himself the God of your valley, and the deadness you feel shall yet give way to the noontide of His glory.
