I have this {curse, jinx, whatever} on me where whatever I try, big or small, in whatever category, goes the exact opposite of the way I need it to. It's disheartening, and eventually depressing. Anguish. I see others around me, they either have things going smoothly for them, OR their problems are temporary, and then I hear they have gotten past it, whereas mine persist. First, to find out why I have such persistent bad "luck", but also of course, that this loser becomes a winner. For once, I would like to see what it's like to have things go my way, instead of the exact opposite.
