Beloved of All
I know we're not supposed to love this life but I am absolutely miserable everyday. I used to be a happy person before my whole life was destroyed by evil people. All I want to do is lay in bed and try to forget about what happened to me. My world is imploding. I have been fighting for seventeen months to break free from this but I just can't. I don't know what to do.

We hear the depth of your pain, and our hearts ache with you in this season of suffering. You are not alone in your struggle—though it may feel that way, the Lord sees every tear, every moment of despair, and He holds you even when you cannot feel His presence. The Bible tells us, *"The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit"* (Psalm 34:18). Your misery is not unseen, and your cry for help has reached heaven.

It is clear that evil has touched your life in ways that have left deep wounds, and we do not dismiss the reality of your suffering. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus came so that you might have life—and have it abundantly, even in the midst of pain. What was meant for harm, God can use for good (Genesis 50:20), though that truth may feel impossible to grasp right now. We rebuke the spirit of despair that seeks to keep you bound in hopelessness. In the name of Jesus, we declare that this is not the end of your story.

You mentioned fighting for seventeen months to break free—this shows your strength, even if you don’t feel strong. But we must ask: Have you fully surrendered this battle to the Lord? Sometimes, our own efforts to fix things can leave us exhausted because we are trying to carry burdens only God is meant to bear. Jesus says, *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest"* (Matthew 11:28). True rest comes when we lay our struggles at His feet and trust Him to fight for us.

We also want to gently address the weight of bitterness or unforgiveness that may be lingering in your heart. Holding onto anger toward those who hurt you only prolongs your suffering. Jesus teaches us to forgive—not because what was done to you was right, but because forgiveness sets *you* free. *"For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you"* (Matthew 6:14). This is not easy, but it is necessary for your healing.

You are not meant to walk through this alone. Have you sought godly counsel—perhaps a pastor, a Christian counselor, or a trusted believer who can pray with you and speak truth into your life? The Body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2). Isolation only deepens despair, but community brings light into darkness.

And to the heart that says, *"I just want to forget,"* we say: You cannot outrun pain, but you can invite God into it. He does not promise to erase your memories, but He promises to redeem them. *"He heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds"* (Psalm 147:3). Will you let Him?

Let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister who is weary and broken. Lord, You see the depth of their pain, the nights of tears, and the weight they carry. We ask that You would draw near to them in a tangible way—let them feel Your presence like never before. Break the chains of despair, Lord, and replace their sorrow with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.

We rebuke the spirit of hopelessness and declare that joy comes in the morning (Psalm 30:5). Father, help them to release their anger and bitterness into Your hands. Give them the strength to forgive, not for the sake of those who hurt them, but for their own freedom. Surround them with Your people—those who will pray, encourage, and walk alongside them.

Lord, we ask for healing—emotional, spiritual, and even physical. Restore what has been stolen, and use this season of suffering for Your glory. Help them to see that their life still has purpose, even when it feels meaningless. Above all, draw them closer to You, for You are the only true source of comfort and hope.

We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who conquered sin and death so that we might have life. Amen.

You are not forgotten. You are not abandoned. And though this season feels endless, it *will* pass. Keep pressing into the Lord, even when it’s hard. He is faithful, and He will not leave you in this place. *"But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint"* (Isaiah 40:31). Wait on Him. He is working, even when you can’t see it.

We're here with you, friend. We know the weight of despair can be overwhelming, but remember, God is near. He sees you, He knows your pain, and He's right there with you, even when you can't feel His presence. We want you to know that it's okay to not be okay all the time. It's okay to feel miserable, to want to lay in bed and forget about everything. It's okay to not have all the answers right now.

We've been where you are, or we've walked alongside others who have. It's a tough, lonely road, but you're not alone. We're here, and so is God. He's not surprised by your pain, and He's not waiting for you to "fix" yourself before He loves you. He loves you just as you are, right now.

We want to encourage you to keep fighting, but we also want to remind you that it's okay to rest. Sometimes, we try to carry burdens that only God is meant to bear. Jesus says, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28) It's okay to lay down your struggles at His feet and trust Him to fight for you.

We also want to gently remind you about forgiveness. Holding onto bitterness only prolongs your suffering. Forgiveness isn't about excusing what was done to you, but about setting yourself free. It's not easy, but it's necessary for your healing.

Please, reach out to someone you trust. A pastor, a counselor, a friend. The body of Christ is here to bear one another's burdens. You don't have to go through this alone.

And remember, you can't outrun pain, but you can invite God into it. He doesn't promise to erase your memories, but He promises to redeem them. Will you let Him?

We're praying for you, friend. We're asking God to draw near to you, to break the chains of despair, and to fill you with His peace. We're asking Him to help you forgive, to surround you with His people, and to restore what's been stolen. Above all, we're asking Him to draw you closer to Him, because He's the only true source of comfort and hope.

You're not forgotten. You're not abandoned. And though this season feels endless, it will pass. Keep pressing into the Lord, even when it's hard. He's faithful, and He won't leave you in this place. Wait on Him. He's working, even when you can't see it.

We're here for you. Always.
