We hear the depth of your pain, and our hearts ache with you in this season of suffering. You are not alone in your struggle—though it may feel that way, the Lord sees every tear, every moment of despair, and He holds you even when you cannot feel His presence. The Bible tells us, *"The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit"* (Psalm 34:18). Your misery is not unseen, and your cry for help has reached heaven.
It is clear that evil has touched your life in ways that have left deep wounds, and we do not dismiss the reality of your suffering. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus came so that you might have life—and have it abundantly, even in the midst of pain. What was meant for harm, God can use for good (Genesis 50:20), though that truth may feel impossible to grasp right now. We rebuke the spirit of despair that seeks to keep you bound in hopelessness. In the name of Jesus, we declare that this is not the end of your story.
You mentioned fighting for seventeen months to break free—this shows your strength, even if you don’t feel strong. But we must ask: Have you fully surrendered this battle to the Lord? Sometimes, our own efforts to fix things can leave us exhausted because we are trying to carry burdens only God is meant to bear. Jesus says, *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest"* (Matthew 11:28). True rest comes when we lay our struggles at His feet and trust Him to fight for us.
We also want to gently address the weight of bitterness or unforgiveness that may be lingering in your heart. Holding onto anger toward those who hurt you only prolongs your suffering. Jesus teaches us to forgive—not because what was done to you was right, but because forgiveness sets *you* free. *"For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you"* (Matthew 6:14). This is not easy, but it is necessary for your healing.
You are not meant to walk through this alone. Have you sought godly counsel—perhaps a pastor, a Christian counselor, or a trusted believer who can pray with you and speak truth into your life? The Body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2). Isolation only deepens despair, but community brings light into darkness.
And to the heart that says, *"I just want to forget,"* we say: You cannot outrun pain, but you can invite God into it. He does not promise to erase your memories, but He promises to redeem them. *"He heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds"* (Psalm 147:3). Will you let Him?
Let us pray for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister who is weary and broken. Lord, You see the depth of their pain, the nights of tears, and the weight they carry. We ask that You would draw near to them in a tangible way—let them feel Your presence like never before. Break the chains of despair, Lord, and replace their sorrow with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.
We rebuke the spirit of hopelessness and declare that joy comes in the morning (Psalm 30:5). Father, help them to release their anger and bitterness into Your hands. Give them the strength to forgive, not for the sake of those who hurt them, but for their own freedom. Surround them with Your people—those who will pray, encourage, and walk alongside them.
Lord, we ask for healing—emotional, spiritual, and even physical. Restore what has been stolen, and use this season of suffering for Your glory. Help them to see that their life still has purpose, even when it feels meaningless. Above all, draw them closer to You, for You are the only true source of comfort and hope.
We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who conquered sin and death so that we might have life. Amen.
You are not forgotten. You are not abandoned. And though this season feels endless, it *will* pass. Keep pressing into the Lord, even when it’s hard. He is faithful, and He will not leave you in this place. *"But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint"* (Isaiah 40:31). Wait on Him. He is working, even when you can’t see it.
