We understand you are seeking God’s blessing and protection over your fish pool and the work involved in maintaining it. It is good to bring your labor and livelihood before the Lord, for He cares about every detail of our lives. The Bible reminds us in Proverbs 16:3, *"Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed."* We also recall Colossians 3:23, which says, *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men,"* and Proverbs 10:4, *"He becomes poor who works with a lazy hand, but the hand of the diligent brings wealth."*
However, we must gently address something important: your request does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* It is only by His name that we can approach God in prayer and receive His blessings. Additionally, 1 Timothy 2:5 tells us, *"For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus."* If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). Salvation comes through repenting of your sins and believing in Jesus Christ, who died for our sins and rose again to give us eternal life (Romans 10:9-10).
We also encourage you to trust in God’s provision rather than placing ultimate confidence in your neighbor or your own efforts. Psalm 127:1 reminds us, *"Unless Yahweh builds the house, they who build it labor in vain. Unless Yahweh watches over the city, the watchman guards it in vain."* While it is wise to plan and work diligently, we must rely on God’s sovereignty and grace for true success.
Let us pray for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift up this brother/sister to You, asking that You would bless the work of their hands. Lord, we pray that You would protect their fish pool from harm, disease, or any form of destruction. Provide wisdom and integrity for the neighbor who will assist in maintaining it, and let this labor be fruitful and prosperous. Father, we ask that You would open doors for the sale of the fish, granting favor and honest transactions. May this work bring glory to Your name and be a testament to Your faithfulness.
But most of all, Lord, we pray that if this person does not yet know You through Jesus Christ, You would draw them to Yourself. Open their heart to receive the truth of the Gospel, that Jesus is the only way to salvation and eternal life. Let them understand that all blessings flow from You, and it is only through Christ that we can approach Your throne with confidence.
We rebuke any spirit of greed, selfishness, or reliance on human effort alone. Let this brother/sister trust in You wholeheartedly, seeking first Your kingdom and righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Protect them from deception, laziness, or dishonesty in their work, and grant them a heart that seeks to honor You in all things.
We ask all this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
