We hear the deep hurt you carry and the burden this broken relationship with your brother has placed on your heart. It is right that you desire to forgive and to see this relationship restored, and it is wise to recognize that unforgiveness can become a barrier to drawing closer to God.
Scripture teaches that we are members of one another and that we owe love to our brother through our spiritual relationship. To war against a brother is to wound the Body of Christ, and God calls us instead to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. He is not a God of war and fighting. He says blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. This kind of peace does not come by ignoring what is wrong, but by choosing to remember no evil, to refuse to repay hurt for hurt, and to imitate the Son of God who forgave us. When the other person is difficult and the conflict is painful, the call remains to be at peace as far as it depends on you, trusting that God sees and rewards faithfulness in love.
So we join you in prayer in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have salvation and peace with God.
We pray that God will help you to truly forgive completely, freeing you from hurt and from negative thoughts, so that your heart may be pure and at peace before Him.
We pray that God will grant you wisdom and intervene in this relationship, guiding your words and actions, softening both hearts, and aligning the relationship with His will according to what is good and right in His sight.
We pray that God will heal your heart and soul, comfort you in your sorrow, and protect you from further hurt, guarding your heart in Christ Jesus and drawing you ever closer to Himself as you walk in obedience to Him.
Continue to seek the Lord daily, to pray for your brother, and to pursue righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. May the Lord give you strength to love, to be patient, and to leave the outcome in His hands while you remain faithful to His call. Amen.
