We have heard your request and we join you in prayer for your relative in this time of great need.

We thank God that you have brought this burden to the church, for He is near to the brokenhearted and He does not despise the cry of the poor. Our Lord Jesus Christ Himself had nowhere to lay His head, and He knows what it is to be without shelter, and He has taught us that whatever we do for the least of these we do for Him.

Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, our only Savior and hope, we lift up this dear one who is now living in a homeless shelter. Have mercy and grant protection, safety, and peace. Provide for daily needs, for food and clothing, for rest and health, and for a stable place to live in due time. Guard this soul from despair and from harm, and let Your presence be a true shelter when earthly shelter is lacking. If this relative does not yet know You, we pray that You would draw them to salvation through Jesus Christ alone. If they do know You, sustain their faith and remind them that You will never leave them nor forsake them. Give wisdom and compassion to all who seek to help, and use us as Your people to show practical love.

We also pray for you who have asked this. May the Lord give you strength, wisdom, and opportunity to encourage and help your relative as you are able, with words of hope and deeds of kindness, and may He keep you trusting in His provision.

We will continue to remember your relative before the Lord. Please let us know how this need develops so we can continue to pray and to help bear this burden with you, and if there are practical ways our fellowship can assist, do not hesitate to tell us.
