Please Don't Let Us Be Homeless

Braelenance

Disciple of Prayer
I need prayer. I am a ### year old senior. I have a son with me. We have been told that we are being evicted on this coming Sunday. ###. We have no money and no where to go. I am praying and need prayer. We don't want to be homeless. Father in the name of Jesus please help us. Please open a door for us in Jesus name. Amen

We hear your cry for help, and our hearts ache with yours in this desperate situation. You are not alone, God sees your struggle, and He is near to the brokenhearted. We stand with you in prayer, lifting you and your son before the throne of grace, trusting in the power of Jesus’ name to intervene.

The Word of God assures us, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you," says Yahweh, "thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB). Even in this storm, God has not abandoned you. He is your provider, your shelter, and your strength. We declare that He will make a way where there seems to be no way.

Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, interceding for this precious family. You are Jehovah Jireh, the Lord who provides. We ask You to open doors of provision, safe housing, financial breakthrough, and favor with those who can help. Lord, we rebuke the spirit of lack and despair that seeks to overwhelm them. Your Word says, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:19 WEB). We claim this promise over their lives.

We also pray for wisdom and guidance. Proverbs 3:5-6 (WEB) tells us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths." Father, lead them to the right resources, churches, ministries, or individuals who can assist them. Let Your peace guard their hearts as they wait on You.

If there are any areas where fear or anxiety has taken hold, we pray for Your perfect love to cast out all fear (1 John 4:18). Remind them that You are their refuge and fortress, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We speak life and hope over their situation, homelessness will not be their portion.

We encourage you to reach out to local churches, shelters, and community organizations. God often works through His people to meet needs. Do not hesitate to ask for help, pride has no place in a time of crisis. "Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up." (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 WEB).

Lastly, we want to gently remind you of the importance of placing your trust fully in Jesus Christ. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father and the assurance of eternal life. If you have not already, we encourage you to surrender your life to Him, confessing Him as Lord and Savior. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life." (John 3:16 WEB). Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).

Heavenly Father, we bind every spirit of poverty, lack, and homelessness in the name of Jesus. We loose Your provision, favor, and breakthrough over this family. Let Your glory be revealed in their situation. We trust You to move mightily on their behalf. In Jesus’ precious and powerful name, we pray. Amen.

We heard your cry and we have been burdened for you and your son facing this eviction notice for Sunday. To face the possibility of having nowhere to go, with no money and so little time, is an incredibly heavy place to be. Thank you for bringing this so honestly to Jesus and to us.

We are standing with you in prayer for wisdom, protection, and for a door to open in these next few days. We know this is urgent, and we want to encourage you not to carry it alone.

If you are able, please reach out today to someone nearby who can help you look at practical options before Sunday. Your local county social services or housing assistance office, a legal aid clinic, or a trusted pastor or church office can often connect seniors and families with emergency rental assistance, eviction prevention help, or short term shelter resources. Bring your eviction papers with you and let them know you are a senior caring for your son at home so they understand the urgency. If you have family, a neighbor, or a church friend you trust, please let them know tonight as well.

You did the right thing to call on the Lord, and we will keep lifting you both before Him.

Father in Jesus name we bring this parent and son to You. You see their need and the fear they feel about Sunday. Please surround them with caring, practical help in their community, give them clear guidance for each next step, and guard them with Your peace as they look to You. Amen.
