Please don't let us lose our apartment

I have recertification for my apartment on Thursday. Please pray that me and my son don't lose our voucher or our home and whatever mistakes I made are forgiven and overlooked

We join with you in prayer for you and your ### as you face this recertification on Thursday, and we understand the weight of fear that comes with the thought of losing your home and your voucher. We bring your anxiety and your need before our Father who sees you and your ### and cares deeply for your welfare.

The Lord knows your need for shelter and provision, and He invites us to bring our worries to Him. We are reminded in Philippians 4:6-7 not to be anxious in anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving to let our requests be made known to God, and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard our hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus. Jesus also teaches us in Matthew 6:31-33 not to be anxious saying what will we eat or what will we drink or with what will we be clothed, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things, but seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well. We cling to the promise in Philippians 4:19 that our God will supply every need of ours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus, and in Psalm 46:1 that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. He has also promised in Hebrews 13:5 that He will in no way leave us nor forsake us.

You mentioned whatever mistakes you made you hope are forgiven and overlooked. We want to gently speak truth to you in love about this, because God desires honesty and integrity from us. While we all make mistakes, His forgiveness is not about overlooking or hiding what we have done, but about confessing it openly to Him and, where needed, to those in authority. Proverbs 28:13 says he who conceals his sins will not prosper, but whoever confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy. And 1 John 1:9 tells us if we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If there were errors or omissions in paperwork or in how you have handled your voucher, we encourage you to be fully truthful in this recertification process, trusting that God honors honesty even when it feels risky. He can give you favor with those reviewing your case, but we should not ask Him to help us deceive. We pray that any mistake would be brought into the light and that you would walk in truth, knowing His mercy is greater than our failures when we repent.

We also noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus. We say this with love, because it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only through Him that we are saved and our prayers are heard. John 14:6 says Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. And Acts 4:12 says there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved. If you have not yet put your trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, we encourage you to believe in Him, that He died for your sins and rose again, and to call upon His name. Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. It is through His name that we can boldly approach God for forgiveness and for help in this practical need.

We pray together for you now.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this dear mother and her ### to You. You know their names, You know their home, and You know the importance of this voucher and this apartment to their stability and safety. We ask for Your mercy and favor over the recertification on Thursday. We pray that You would calm their hearts and replace fear with Your peace. We ask that You would grant wisdom to gather every needed document, to answer every question with honesty and clarity, and to find favor in the eyes of every caseworker and reviewer. Lord, if there have been mistakes, we confess them before You now and ask for Your forgiveness through the blood of Jesus, and we ask for grace to make them right in a way that honors You. Provide for this family, Lord, and let them not lose their home. Establish them in a safe dwelling and show them that You are their provider and protector. We pray that through this trial they would seek You first and grow in trust in You, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You as Romans 8:28 promises. We ask all this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and mediator, amen.

We encourage you to spend time in prayer and in the Word each day leading up to Thursday, to be diligent to prepare everything required, to be completely truthful on every form, and to trust the outcome to the Lord whether He answers exactly as you hope or in another way that is still for your good. He loves you and your ### more than you can imagine and He hears the prayers offered in Jesus name.

We hear how much weight you are carrying right now with Thursday coming so fast. Worrying about your home and your son's stability is a heavy burden, and it makes sense you are feeling anxious about the recertification and hoping any mistakes can be shown grace.

One small step that may ease some pressure before Thursday is to gather everything in one place tonight, your ID, income proof, voucher paperwork and anything for your son, and check it against the list they gave you. If you know there was an error or something missing, a short honest explanation to bring with you can help the reviewer understand. If you have a caseworker or housing office contact, calling ahead tomorrow to ask if anything looks incomplete can also give you a clearer picture and a chance to fix it before the appointment.

We are asking God to be near to you both in these next days, to give you steadiness and clarity as you prepare. You are doing the work of caring for your family, and He sees that.

Father, we bring this mom and her son to You. You know their need for a safe home and the worry around Thursday. Please provide peace tonight, wisdom as she prepares, and favor in the review process. Cover any mistakes with grace and guide those making decisions. Keep this family secure and remind them You are with them. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your burden for yourself and your son has been laid before the Lord and we are joining you in prayer for Thursday and for the days to come.

We hear in your words a desire not only for a home to be preserved but for mercy when you have done wrong, and the Word of God meets that desire with a blessed truth, There is forgiveness with Thee, that Thou mayest be feared. Where there were no forgiveness, there would be no hope and no true fear of God, but because He is a God who pardons, sinners may come to Him, confess their sin, and find Him gracious.

Scripture says, I, even I, am He that blotteth out thy transgressions for Mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins. This is a divine forgiveness, not because we have earned it, but for Christ's sake. He not only forgave at the first, but continues to forgive, and His forgiveness is full and eternal to all who trust in His dear Son. If you tremble under a sense of mistakes and sin, poor backslider or burdened soul, return unto the Lord and He will have mercy upon you. Believe in the forgiveness of sins for yourself through Jesus Christ who shed His blood for sinners, and know that when sin is pardoned, the fear and love of God follows after.

We are praying that the Lord in His tender mercy will provide for you and your son, that He will grant you favor and peace in the recertification on Thursday, that every needful paper would be in order and every interview be met with kindness and understanding, and that your voucher and your home would be preserved if it be His will. We pray also that He who clothes and feeds His people and makes His needs His care would keep you in safety and supply all that you need day by day.

We encourage you to walk in honesty and diligence before the authorities, to be truthful in all that is required of you, and to trust not in overlooking but in the Lord's power to blot out sin and to open doors of provision. You pray as one who needs mercy, and God is generous to give it to those who trust His Son.

May the Lord lift your fear, assure your heart of His pardoning love in Christ, and in that assurance give you calm and wisdom for Thursday. May He keep you and your son under His care, establish your dwelling, and teach you to fear Him and hope in His mercy all your days.

We will continue to pray for you both, that whether in this apartment or wherever He leads, you may know that there is forgiveness with Him and that He delights to show mercy to those who call upon Him through Jesus Christ.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
