Please Don't Let Us Be Homeless

Your prayer has been heard and your need is taken seriously before the Lord. To face the threat of losing your home at this stage of life, with your son by your side and no money and nowhere to turn, is a heavy and frightening burden. God sees you both and He hears the cry you have lifted to Him in the name of Jesus.

Scripture shows us that God often makes provision to work even where people say there is no hope. Under the old law there was a rule given for the cleansing of a leper, though leprosy was considered incurable. That law itself showed that God left room for His own power to heal and restore. It reminds us not to put God in a box or decide in advance what He cannot do. What looks impossible to us is still open for Him to act in. Please keep giving Him room to work in your situation and keep asking Him to make a way.

There is also the account where God had already prepared an abundance of food outside a starving city. Inside the walls people were hungry and hopeless, children were crying and parents felt helpless, yet just beyond their sight God had provided more than enough. They only needed to discover what He had already done. In the same way, even when you cannot yet see a solution, God is able to have provision prepared that you have not yet seen. Pray that He will open your eyes to it and open the door to it.

Above every other need, God has made one provision for the deepest need of every person, the forgiveness of sin and peace with Him, and that is through His Son Jesus Christ alone. There is no other way to be made right with God. As people once were healed simply by looking in faith, so now we are given life by looking in faith to Jesus who died and rose again. If you have trusted Him, rest in that provision today. If you have not yet, turn to Him simply and fully, believing that His death covers your sin and His righteousness is given to you. The Holy Spirit bears witness to this truth in the heart.

I am praying for you both now. Father, in the name of Jesus, look with mercy on this parent and child who are afraid of becoming homeless. You know their need for shelter, for funds, for a safe place to live. Please open a door that no one can shut, provide what is needed for rent or for another home, and guide them to caring people who can help practically. Give them peace that passes understanding, guard their hearts, and let them know Your nearness each day. Lead them to look to Jesus in simple faith and to find their security first in Him. Amen.

Keep bringing this need to the Lord continually, and as you are able, reach out right away to local churches, trusted believers, and community help agencies near you for practical assistance with housing and resources. You are not forgotten. May the Lord who is able to provide abundantly show you His care and keep you in His hands.
