Homeless

I’m currently homeless and I really need help with bills and for my application fees. I have no help and no where to turn. I have no friends or family. Lord please help me in this difficult time.

We hear your cry for help and lift you up before the throne of grace with heavy hearts. The pain of homelessness and isolation is profound, and we stand with you in this trial, trusting that our Heavenly Father sees your struggle and will provide according to His riches in glory. Scripture reminds us in Psalm 34:18-19, "The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all."

First, we must address the foundation of our hope, Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, we encourage you to surrender your life to Him, confessing your sins and believing in His death and resurrection for your salvation (Romans 10:9-10). He is the Good Shepherd who leaves the ninety-nine to seek the one who is lost (Luke 15:4-7), and He will not abandon you in your time of need.

Now, let us pray for your immediate needs:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts burdened for our brother/sister in this time of homelessness and despair. Lord, You are the God who sees, the One who fed Elijah by the brook and provided for the widow at Zarephath. We ask that You open the windows of heaven and pour out Your provision for their bills and application fees. Provide shelter, food, and a way forward, Lord, for You are Jehovah-Jireh, our Provider. Surround them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:6-7). Father, we rebuke the spirit of loneliness and hopelessness in the name of Jesus. You have promised never to leave us nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5), so we declare that You are with them in this storm.

Lord, we ask that You raise up godly people in their life, believers who will show them the love of Christ through practical help and encouragement. Open doors for employment, stable housing, and community, and give them favor with those who can assist them. Help them to trust in You with all their heart and not lean on their own understanding, acknowledging You in all their ways so that You may direct their paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).

We also pray for strength and wisdom as they navigate this season. Remind them that their current circumstances do not define their worth or Your love for them. You have plans for them, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give them a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). Help them to hold fast to Your promises and to walk in faith, even when the path is unclear.

Father, we ask that You would heal any wounds of rejection or abandonment they may carry. You are the Father to the fatherless and the defender of the widow (Psalm 68:5), and we trust You to restore what has been lost. Give them courage to reach out to local churches, shelters, or organizations that can provide assistance. Remind them that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).

In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.

In addition to prayer, we encourage you to take practical steps to seek help. Contact local churches, homeless shelters, or organizations like the Salvation Army or Catholic Charities, as they often have resources for housing, bills, and job placement. Many communities also have programs specifically for application fees or emergency assistance, do not hesitate to ask. You are not alone in this, even if it feels that way. The body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), and we are here to support you in any way we can.

Remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 11:28, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest." He is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and trust that He will lead you through this valley. We are standing with you in faith, believing that God will make a way where there seems to be no way.

I wish I knew where you were so that I could help you. I have helped others who have been homeless. I believe in putting into action what the Lord Jesus Christ spoke of in Matthew 25:31-46. If I ever meet you, I will give you food, drink, clothes, etc., and one big bear hug. Just remember that NOTHING or NO ONE can separate you from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus, Romans 8:38,39. In Jesus' name! Amen!

We read your request and our hearts broke for you. Facing homelessness without any support system is incredibly heavy, and the loneliness you’re feeling is real. We’re so sorry you’re in this spot, and we’re grateful you reached out, you don’t have to carry this alone, even when it feels that way.

We hear the practical need: those bills and application fees feel like a locked door when you’re already exhausted. A good first step is to dial 211 (if you’re in the U.S.) or visit findhelp.org, these services can connect you with local programs that specifically help with emergency housing applications, rental assistance, and sometimes even cover those fees directly. Many churches and Christian charities also set aside funds for one-time needs like this; don’t hesitate to call a few in your area and ask if they can help. You may even find a community that can wrap some support around you for the longer journey, something that speaks right into that ache of loneliness.

When isolation closes in, remember this: your circumstances don’t define God’s closeness to you. He sees every detail and promises to be your refuge, even when every human connection feels absent. We’re standing with you in that truth right now.

Jesus, you see this precious person, battling fear, exhaustion, and the sting of being friendless. Please provide safe shelter and the exact financial help needed for these application fees. Lead them to the right people and resources, and let them feel Your nearness in a tangible way. Surround them with a few kind faces that remind them they are not forgotten. Give them the courage to keep taking the next small step, trusting that You are making a way. In Your name, Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

It is a sharp trial to be without shelter and to see no human arm to lean upon. Yet, to be friendless and alone is a path which your Lord Himself has trod, for He was left solitary in His greatest agony, a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. Hear the promise: "When my father and mother forsake me, then the Lord will take me up." If the Lord does not help you, where can I find help for you? All human aid is vain unless He bids it spring forth. Cast yourself, then, wholly upon Him. His divine interpositions often come in the extremity of need, and He knows how to deliver the poor and to bring the righteous out of deep distress. Go to Him in prayer, not only for the bread that perishes, but for the living Bread which came down from heaven. Remember, it was for sinners such as you that Christ bore our sicknesses and carried our pains; look to His cross and find in His wounds the remedy for your deepest poverty, the poverty of the soul. Behold the gentleness of God, who draws near to the broken-hearted, and let this trial drive you to the Rock that is higher than you. The Lord still waits to be gracious; before this sun goes down, cry to Him, and He will hear.
