🙇🏻 Holy Spirit of Wisdom & Revelation to Know God, The Hope of His Calling, Riches of His Inheritance & His Exceedingly Great Strength, Eph 1:15-23

Nochaeld

Beloved
🙏 For this reason, having heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which exists among you and your love for all the saints, WE DO NOT CEASE giving thanks for you, while making mention of you in my prayers, that the God of Our Lord Jesus Christ, The Glorious Father, may give to us The Ho]ly Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation to know Him better (Epignonowsko -- deep, personal and intimate acquaintance). Grant the eyes of our heart to be enlightened so we may know the hope of Your calling, the riches of Your glorious inheritance those You called out of darkness to light, and the surpassing greatness of Your power toward us who believe, which You exerted when You raised Christ (The Anointed and Promised King -- Messiah -- Like King David referred to King Saul as "The Lord's Anointed," -- only Jesus is "The True David of Judah's Line," "The Lord's TRUE Anointed") from the dead and seated Him at Your Right Hand in the Heavenly Places, (Right Hand of Power, Dan 7:13-14), far above all other rule, authority, power and dominion, both in this age and the age to come, and everything having been put under subjection under His feet, The Father has made Him the Head of over all things and given You (all) power for the church, which is which is Your body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all. Thank You and you all in Jesus' Name (Ephesians 1:15-23).

We join with you in lifting up this powerful prayer from Ephesians 1:15-23, for it is a cry that resonates deeply with our own hearts. We too long for the Holy Spirit of wisdom and revelation to draw us into a deeper, more intimate knowledge of God, an epignosis relationship where we don’t just know about Him but truly know Him as our Father, our Savior, and our King. How precious it is to seek the enlightenment of our hearts, that we might grasp the hope of His calling, the riches of His inheritance in the saints, and the immeasurable greatness of His power toward us who believe!

This passage reminds us that the same power that raised Christ from the dead and seated Him at the right hand of the Father, far above all rule, authority, and dominion, is at work in us. What a glorious truth! Jesus, the True David, the Lord’s Anointed, reigns supreme over all creation, and we are His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all. We declare this over our lives and over the Church today, that we would walk in the authority and victory He has already secured for us.

Yet we must also pause to reflect: Are we living as those who truly believe in the surpassing greatness of His power? Do we daily surrender to the Holy Spirit’s work in us, or do we sometimes rely on our own strength, wisdom, or understanding? Let us examine our hearts and ask the Lord to reveal any areas where we have not fully submitted to His lordship. For if we are to know Him better, we must be willing to lay down our agendas, our pride, and our sin at the foot of the cross.

We also lift up those who may be reading this prayer but have not yet placed their faith in Jesus Christ. The hope of His calling is not just for the "saints" but for all who would turn to Him in repentance and faith. Acts 4:12 declares, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" If you have not yet confessed Jesus as Lord and believed in your heart that God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9), we urge you to do so today. He is the only way to the Father (John 14:6), and His invitation is open to all who would come.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for the gift of Your Holy Spirit, who leads us into all truth and reveals the deep things of God. We ask that You would grant us, as You did the Ephesian believers, the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, that we may know You more intimately with each passing day. Enlighten the eyes of our hearts, Lord, so that we may see the hope to which You have called us, the riches of Your glorious inheritance in the saints and the incomparable power You have made available to us through Christ.

Father, we confess that we often underestimate the authority we have in Jesus’ name. Forgive us for the times we have walked in fear, doubt, or unbelief, forgetting that the same power that raised Christ from the dead lives in us. Strengthen our faith, Lord, and help us to walk in the fullness of what You have already accomplished. May we live as those who are seated with Christ in the heavenly places, far above every principality and power.

For those who do not yet know You, we pray that Your Holy Spirit would convict their hearts of sin and draw them to repentance. Open their eyes to see Jesus as the only way to salvation, and give them the courage to surrender their lives to Him. May they experience the hope, peace, and joy that come from being reconciled to You.

We also pray for the Church, the body of Christ. Unite us in love and purpose, Lord, that we may be a light in this dark world. Empower us to walk in holiness, to preach the gospel with boldness, and to make disciples of all nations. May we never forget that we are Your ambassadors, called to reflect Your glory and advance Your kingdom.

Thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your goodness and faithfulness, knowing that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us. To You be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

May the Lord bless you and keep you; may He make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you; may He lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace (Numbers 6:24-26). Walk in the victory that is already yours in Christ!

We’re struck by the beauty of your prayer, you’ve taken Paul’s words and made them your own, and that’s no small thing. Longing to know God more deeply, to have the eyes of your heart flooded with light so you grasp the hope and the inheritance and the power already yours in Christ, that kind of longing is itself evidence of the Spirit already at work in you.

What encourages us is that you’re not asking for something abstract. You’re asking to know God, personally and intimately. That’s the kind of prayer that shapes a life over time. One simple practice that has helped many of us is to keep praying this very passage slowly, letting each phrase settle. Some days you might camp on “the hope of His calling” and ask, Lord, what hope are You calling me to walk in today? Other days you might need to sit with “the surpassing greatness of His power” when you feel weak or small. Let the words become your conversation with Him rather than just a request to be checked off.

We’ve also found that this kind of deepening knowledge often grows when we create small pockets of stillness, not for more study or striving, but simply to be with Him. A few quiet minutes before the day ramps up, turning your heart toward the Father and asking Him to give you what Paul prayed. He loves to answer that prayer.

We pray alongside you now:

Father, thank You for the desire You’ve awakened in Your child to know You more. Grant the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in every ordinary moment. Enlighten the eyes of their heart so they truly taste the hope, the riches, and the resurrection power that is their birthright in Jesus. Draw them into the intimacy they’re seeking, and let it change everything. In Jesus’ name, amen.

This prayer breaths with the very unction of the Holy Spirit, a cry for that deep, intimate acquaintance with the Most High which is the choicest portion of the saints. You seek the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, and well you may, for as I have said, "Give man wisdom, wisdom in the truest sense of the term, and he rises to all the dignity that manhood can possibly know." But mark this: true wisdom is not a mere intellectual grasp of doctrine; it is Christ Himself. "Christ, that is, Christ personally, is 'the power of God and the wisdom of God.'" The Father gives this wisdom in the face of Jesus Christ, and the Spirit's office is to take of the things of Christ and show them unto us. To know Him better, this is life eternal.

You plead for enlightened eyes to know the hope of His calling. This hope is no uncertain thing, no gourd of the night which withers before the morning sun. It is anchored within the veil, fixed upon the Throne of God and of the Lamb. Remember this: "Jesus, according to the former vision of this Revelation, is in the front of the Throne where God always sees Him before He sees us. I cannot endure the sight of God until I see Him in Christ, and God cannot bear the sight of me till He sees me in Christ!" The hope of His calling is all bound up in the person and work of our Great High Priest. When the Holy Spirit illuminates the heart, He shows us that we are called not according to our merit but according to His own purpose and grace given us in Christ Jesus before the world began. This is a hope that maketh not ashamed.

The riches of His glorious inheritance among the saints, here is a continent of delight too broad for our finite minds to fully chart. "The saints' inheritance is the choicest form of life and peace and joy. We come to live with Christ, in Christ, for Christ, as Christ." And all the riches of the glory of God are treasured up in Christ Jesus. He has all this wealth to bestow upon His redeemed family. Do you want to know these riches? Then grow in dependence upon God and seek for more instruction. As I have urged before, "Try to grow in the knowledge of God that your joy may be full." The inheritance is not a plot of ground to be measured in furlongs, but the boundless blessedness of God Himself possessed through Christ. No child of God could ever yet say, "I have taken all that God can give me and still I am wanting more."

And consider the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, the very dynamite of the Almighty, the energy which raised the dead Christ from the cold tomb and set Him at the right hand of the Majesty on high. That power is not distant; it is for the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him that filleth all in all. Here is a mystery of grace: the Head in heaven and the members on earth are one, and the power which surges through the Head flows down to the very feet. How does a man have this power with God? "Not because the power is in him, but he can have power with God by reason of something that is in God." We prevail when we take hold of God's own strength, when we plead the covenant, when we cry, "Abba, Father!" That cry is the Holy Spirit's own testimony to our adoption, and it wields a divine authority at the Mercy Seat.

This knowledge is not of flesh and blood. "Unless you do first of all know Christ by the distinct revealing of God, what can you do?" The world's wisdom counts it foolishness, but to us who are saved, Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God. The Spirit shines not on our natural faculties to create a speculative notion, but upon the sacred page to reveal a living Person. And when He reveals, the heart burns and the soul is made partaker of the divine nature. Therefore, cease not from this prayer, and let your expectation be from Him alone. He who gave you the desire will surely grant the blessing, for the true sayings of God are tried in a thousand furnaces and found to be silver seven times purified. The Throne of God and of the Lamb is in the midst of the church, and from that Throne proceed light and life and power for all your need.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The very words you have formed from the Apostle’s prayer reveal a soul aflame with desire, and indeed, what you seek is the one thing for which the blessed Paul himself ceaselessly prayed. For he does not ask that you receive gold or health or any fleeting thing, but that the eyes of your heart be flooded with light. This is the first and greatest need. We are beggars for this light, and until the Holy Spirit grants it, we remain in a kind of twilight, perceiving the letter but missing the glory.

You ask for a spirit of wisdom and revelation to know Him. Do you see the nature of this request? It is for nothing less than the Spirit of God to overturn the reasoning of the world. The mind of man, puffed up by its own power, stumbles over the cross and considers the incarnation a scandal. But the Spirit of wisdom reveals the Lord Jesus not as a mere man, but as God and Benefactor, the very One whom the wise men worshipped in a poor estate, seeing past the manger to the majesty. This knowledge, this deep, intimate acquaintance you name, is not found in the clever arguments of the philosophers, but in the tomb that was found empty and the body that was raised. There is the exceeding greatness of His power, exerted not for a mere prophet, but for the Head of the body, so that all things are under His feet.

Therefore, do not let your prayer remain on your lips only. Offer Him gifts that match your request, not frankincense and myrrh from an open box, but the submission of your own understanding. To know the hope of His calling is to fix your gaze not on earthly dignities, but upon the heavenly places, where Christ is seated. The riches of His inheritance are the saints themselves, drawn out of darkness, and this is the power that works even now. Let your heart be strengthened by His might, so that you may apprehend not with proud intellect, but with all the saints, the immensity of a love that is broader than the sea and higher than the heavens. Cease not from this prayer, for He who began this good work of illumination in you is faithful, and the One who shed abroad His Spirit into our hearts will not dim the light He has kindled.
