Beloved Warrior
🙏 For this reason, having heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which exists among you and your love for all the saints, WE DO NOT CEASE giving thanks for you, while making mention of you in my prayers, that the God of Our Lord Jesus Christ, The Glorious Father, may give to us The Ho]ly Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation to know Him better (Epignonowsko -- deep, personal and intimate acquaintance). Grant the eyes of our heart to be enlightened so we may know the hope of Your calling, the riches of Your glorious inheritance those You called out of darkness to light, and the surpassing greatness of Your power toward us who believe, which You exerted when You raised Christ (The Anointed and Promised King -- Messiah -- Like King David referred to King Saul as "The Lord's Anointed," -- only Jesus is "The True David of Judah's Line," "The Lord's TRUE Anointed") from the dead and seated Him at Your Right Hand in the Heavenly Places, (Right Hand of Power, Dan 7:13-14), far above all other rule, authority, power and dominion, both in this age and the age to come, and everything having been put under subjection under His feet, The Father has made Him the Head of over all things and given You (all) power for the church, which is which is Your body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all. Thank You and you all in Jesus' Name (Ephesians 1:15-23).

We join with you in gratitude for the faith and love evident in your life, and we echo the apostle Paul’s prayer for the Ephesians over you today. Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son and our Lord, asking that You would indeed grant the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Yourself. Open the eyes of our hearts, Lord, that we may see You more clearly, love You more dearly, and follow You more nearly. Let us grasp the hope to which You have called us, the riches of Your glorious inheritance in the saints, and the immeasurable greatness of Your power toward us who believe.

This power, O God, is the same power that raised Christ from the dead and seated Him at Your right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule, authority, power, and dominion. We declare that Jesus Christ is the true Anointed One, the Messiah, the fulfillment of all Your promises, and the Head over all things for the church, which is His body. May we walk in the fullness of this truth, submitted to His lordship in every area of our lives.

We also lift up any who may be reading this who have not yet surrendered their lives to Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not confessed Jesus as Lord and believed in Your heart that God raised Him from the dead, we urge you to do so today. For "if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9). Salvation is found in no one else, and it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father.

Father, we pray that as we grow in the knowledge of You, we would also grow in holiness and obedience. Guard our hearts from the deceptions of this world and the schemes of the enemy. Let us not be conformed to the patterns of this age but be transformed by the renewing of our minds, so that we may discern and live out Your perfect will (Romans 12:2). Strengthen us to stand firm in the faith, clothed in the full armor of God, so that we may resist the devil and his temptations (Ephesians 6:10-18).

We rebuke any spirit of complacency, distraction, or spiritual blindness that would hinder us from pursuing a deeper relationship with You. Stir within us a hunger and thirst for righteousness, that we may seek You with all our hearts (Matthew 5:6). Let us not be satisfied with surface-level faith but press on to know You intimately, as Paul desired for the Ephesians.

We also pray for the church worldwide, that we would be unified in the truth of Your Word, walking in love and humility, and making disciples of all nations. May we be a light in this dark world, pointing others to Jesus Christ, the only hope for salvation. Equip us with Your power and boldness to proclaim the gospel without fear, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes (Romans 1:16).

Thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

What a gift it is to see someone pray Scripture with such hunger, not just reciting words, but truly asking that we would all know God in that deep, personal, intimate way the passage describes. That kind of prayer changes us from the inside, even as we speak it. When we ask for the eyes of our heart to be enlightened, we’re admitting that only God can show us the hope, the inheritance, and the power He’s already given. That’s not a one-time request; it’s the ongoing posture of a life that wants to live awake to what Christ has done.

One way we’ve seen this take root is by slowly praying these very words for specific people we love, naming them before the Father, asking that the Spirit would make these realities vivid to them. You might take this passage and, over the next week, lift up a few individuals or your whole church family. As you do, you’ll likely find your own hope and strength growing too, because you’re planting yourself in the same promises.

We pray with you now: Father, we ask together for the Holy Spirit of wisdom and revelation to know You better. Enlighten the eyes of our hearts so we truly grasp the hope You’ve called us to, the glorious riches of Your inheritance in the saints, and the immeasurable greatness of Your power toward us who believe. Keep us from settling for shallow knowledge; draw us into the deep acquaintance with You that Jesus made possible, and let that reality anchor us, whatever comes. In Jesus’ name, amen.

It is well that your soul craves that which the apostle Paul so earnestly desired for the saints, the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Christ. To know Him is life eternal, and to know the power of His resurrection is to partake of that quickening energy which raised the Lord Jesus from the dead. The eyes of your heart cannot be enlightened apart from the sovereign operation of the Holy Ghost. Cry unto the glorious Father, for He delights to unveil His Son in us and to open the Scriptures where Christ is set forth as the power of God and the wisdom of God.

That surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe is no mere doctrine to be held in the letter; it is the very lifeblood of the church, the same might that was exerted when God raised Christ from the dead and seated Him at His own right hand in the heavenly places. This is the hope of His calling, that we, having been united to Him by faith, shall be raised up together with Him and made to sit together in the heavenlies even now, and shall at last be conformed to the image of His glorious body. The riches of His inheritance in the saints gleam brightest when we behold the Lamb upon the Throne, for the Throne of God is the Throne of the Lamb, and there the covenant stands fast forever.

Tremble not at your own weakness, for the power is all of Him. He who is the Husband of His people has pledged Himself to you by an everlasting covenant, ordered in all things and sure. Though you feel the chains of your own insufficiency, He has broken the gates of brass and cut the bars of iron asunder. Trust in Him wholly, for He alone is your rock and your salvation. When you look upon the risen and ascended Christ, see in Him the infallible proof that every word of His gospel is a true saying of God. The victory that overcomes the world is faith in that very power which death could not hold.

Let your prayer be, with the apostle, that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection. This is not the knowledge of the head alone, but a deep, personal, intimate acquaintance wrought by the Spirit, making the heart burn within you as He opens up the Scriptures. The wisdom that comes from above will cause you to hate every false way and to cleave to Him with purpose of heart. God will not leave the covenant of His grace without the sanctions of His power; the lightning, the thunder, and the earthquake are all engaged to keep that covenant. Only trust, and you shall see that He is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that you ask or think, according to the power that works in us.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Never was there a prayer that so captured the very yearnings of the blessed Apostle Paul, and you have laid hold of it with a desperate and holy grip. You see how he does not pray for their earthly comfort or fleeting honors, but that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, might give them a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the deep, personal knowledge of Him. This is no small thing you have asked. The Apostle saw that without the Holy Spirit illuminating the eyes of the heart, we remain in a dim prison of our own making, unable to perceive the hope of His calling or the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints. You have rightly understood that this is not a knowledge of mere words, but an experiential knowing, a participation in the very life of God. That you long to comprehend the exceeding greatness of His power, the very power that raised that true David, the Lord’s Anointed, from the dead and seated Him far above all rule and dominion, this is the cry of a soul that has begun to grasp the immensity of the mystery.

But consider what it is you seek. You ask for the eyes of your heart to be enlightened to know the hope of His calling. This hope is not a passive wish, but a living, breathing anchor. It is the inheritance of a kingdom, promised to those whom He has called out of darkness. And what is that inheritance but the fullness of Him who fills all in all, even Christ Himself? You are the body, and He is the Head, and the glory of this Head is not for Himself alone, but for the body, the Church. This power you ask about, it is the very same power that works in you who believe, a strength so mighty that it stands undaunted against all trials and carnal reasonings. Yet there is no way to be strengthened by this power but by the Holy Ghost. Just as James, the brother of the Lord, through continual praying and persistent driving of his forehead against the earth, became a living temple of this strength, so too must you learn that this profound acquaintance with God is hewn out not in a moment of ecstasy, but in a life bent low in submission.

You give thanks, and rightly so, for this prayer is already being answered in you who ask with such informed faith. The very desire you have for this deep, intimate knowledge is proof of the Spirit’s working, for the foolishness of human wisdom would never incline the heart to seek what the world deems folly. But remember, the unveiling of this mystery, the breadth and length and height and depth of the love of God, requires a heart purged of arrogance and nailed-down attachment to present things. Persist in this prayer without ceasing, making mention of the saints as Paul did, and trust that the God who exerted His might in Christ to raise Him from the dead will not fail to lead you further into the light that no man can approach. The Lord, the true Light, has manifested the Father, and by His Spirit He will enlighten your soul. This petition you have offered, it is a fragrance rising to the throne, and it is fitting that all thanks for such spiritual blessings be directed to the Giver of every good and perfect gift alone.
