For this reason, having heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which exists among you and your love for all the saints, WE DO NOT CEASE giving thanks for you, while making mention of you in my prayers, that the God of Our Lord Jesus Christ, The Glorious Father, may give to us The Ho]ly Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation to know Him better (Epignonowsko -- deep, personal and intimate acquaintance). Grant the eyes of our heart to be enlightened so we may know the hope of Your calling, the riches of Your glorious inheritance those You called out of darkness to light, and the surpassing greatness of Your power toward us who believe, which You exerted when You raised Christ (The Anointed and Promised King -- Messiah -- Like King David referred to King Saul as "The Lord's Anointed," -- only Jesus is "The True David of Judah's Line," "The Lord's TRUE Anointed") from the dead and seated Him at Your Right Hand in the Heavenly Places, (Right Hand of Power, Dan 7:13-14), far above all other rule, authority, power and dominion, both in this age and the age to come, and everything having been put under subjection under His feet, The Father has made Him the Head of over all things and given You (all) power for the church, which is which is Your body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all. We rejoice with you in the truth of Ephesians 1:15-23, for it is a powerful declaration of the supremacy of Christ and the inheritance we have in Him. Your prayer reflects a deep hunger for the Holy Spirit’s wisdom and revelation, and we join you in seeking the Father’s face for these very things.

Father in Heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son and our Lord. We thank You for the faith and love that exist among Your people, and we ask that You would indeed grant us the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of You. Open the eyes of our hearts, Lord, that we may see the hope to which You have called us, the riches of Your glorious inheritance in the saints and the incomparable greatness of Your power toward us who believe. This power is the same as that which raised Christ from the dead and seated Him at Your right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule, authority, power, and dominion. We declare that Jesus Christ is Lord over all, and that the church, which is His body, is filled with the fullness of Him who fills everything in every way.

Lord, we pray that You would deepen our epignosis, our intimate, personal knowledge of You. Let us not be satisfied with surface-level faith but press in to know You more, to love You more, and to walk in the fullness of Your calling. May we live as those who have been called out of darkness into Your marvelous light, reflecting Your glory in all we do.

We also lift up any who may be reading this prayer who do not yet know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Father, we ask that You would draw them to Yourself, opening their hearts to the truth of the Gospel. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, only the name of Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12). We pray that they would confess with their mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in their hearts that You raised Him from the dead, so that they may be saved (Romans 10:9). May they experience the hope, the inheritance, and the power that come from being in Christ.

For those who are struggling in their walk with You, Lord, we ask that You would renew their strength and refresh their spirits. Let them not grow weary in doing good, for in due season they will reap a harvest if they do not give up (Galatians 6:9). May they be rooted and grounded in love, able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and height and depth of Your love, which surpasses knowledge (Ephesians 3:17-19).

We also rebuke any spirit of complacency, distraction, or unbelief that would seek to hinder our growth in the knowledge of Christ. We declare that we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us (Romans 8:37), and we stand firm in the truth of Your Word. Let no weapon formed against us prosper, and let every tongue that rises against us in judgment be condemned (Isaiah 54:17).

Father, we thank You for the privilege of coming before Your throne of grace. We thank You for the hope we have in Christ, for the inheritance that is ours as Your children, and for the power that works within us. May we walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which we have been called, with all humility, gentleness, patience, and love (Ephesians 4:1-2). May our lives bring glory and honor to Your name, now and forevermore. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

What a blessed petition you have brought from the Apostle’s own lips! This prayer is born of the Spirit and carries its own answer within its words. The desire to know God, not as a distant judge but with that deep, personal acquaintance, the epignosis, is itself a work of grace in your soul. A man never truly longs for the light until the day has dawned upon him. So take heart; the very cry for wisdom and revelation is the stirring of the wing of that heavenly Dove within you.

You plead for the eyes of your heart to be enlightened, that you might know the hope of His calling. This is the marrow of true religion. For what is His calling? It is not the voice that summons a man to a futile task or a temporary honour, but the call of the sovereign God, bringing dead souls to life, calling you out of darkness into His marvellous light. He who has called you is faithful, and His call is the pledge of your final glory. Do you want to know the hope of that calling? Look away from yourself to the Caller. The hope is not in your grasp of His hand, but in His omnipotent hold upon you. Fix your gaze upon the risen Christ, and you will see that your calling is as irreversible as His resurrection. He is the firstfruits, and the full harvest is ensured.

And what are “the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints”? Here the thought is staggering, for the inheritance is not merely something we receive, but the people themselves are God’s own heritage. The Lord’s portion is His people. What an honour, that He should count us, poor fractured vessels, as His treasure! This is a deep, unfathomable mine of wonder. By nature we were spiritually bankrupt heirs of wrath; in grace, we are made the inheritance of the Almighty, purchased with blood, sealed by the Spirit. To know this in the heart is to live above the world’s trifles. It gives a man a royal bearing, for he knows he belongs to the King and that the King delights in him. Prayerfully ponder this: you are God’s own possession, and He will not lose His jewel. He will polish His heritage until it gleams with His own glory.

But the crown of this petition is the knowledge of the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe. This is no ordinary might, it is the power which wrought in the grave of the Prince of Life, heaving away the stone that sealed Him in the place of the dead, and which plucked Him from the grip of the domain of darkness to seat Him at the right hand of the Majesty on high. Consider this: the very same energy that raised the man Christ Jesus and set Him far above all principality and power is now at work in every soul that trusts in Him. What can be impossible to a man who carries this divine dynamite within his spirit? Your corruptions may be strong, but the power that raised Christ from the dead is stronger. Your temptations may be fierce, but He who crushed the serpent’s head has bruised him beneath your feet. The power that governs the church is not our own; it is the life of our exalted Head flowing through every member of His body. He is the fullness that fills all in all.

Therefore, let this prayer be a bold, continuous cry. Do not cease to ask, for the Glorious Father delights to make His Son known. The spirit of wisdom and revelation is not given to the casual inquirer but to the importunate pleader. Go to the Word with this prayer, and you will find Christ on every page, for He is the sum and substance of all wisdom. And when you feel the weight of your weakness, remember that this power is perfected in confession of our frailty. A helpless sinner leaning upon the arm of the Beloved is the very picture of a true prince with God, yes, an Israel who has power with his Maker through the cry of a dependent child.

Do not even talk of Jesus until you know His power to save. Let this be a matter of living experience, not mere notional religion. May the Holy Ghost reveal to your soul that Christ is indeed your wisdom, your righteousness, your sanctification, and your redemption, and that nothing in heaven or earth can sever you from the grip of His hand that was nailed to the tree for you. This is the true saying of God, and it is worthy of all acceptation: that by this knowledge, even now, you have eternal life. Amen.

I hear the longing of your prayer, and I join with you in giving thanks for the faith and love which you show toward all the saints. The very words of the Apostle are on your lips, and I am reminded how he never ceased to give thanks for those he bore in his heart. To ask for the Spirit of wisdom and revelation is to ask well, for no human argument can confer such knowledge. It is the work of the Holy Spirit alone to enlighten the eyes of your heart, so that you may grasp the hope of His calling, not as a distant shadow, but as a living possession. That hope stores up for you nothing less than the riches of His inheritance among the saints, a wealth that makes all earthly treasures seem like dust.

Do not think that this understanding comes by worldly learning. God made Christ to be wisdom for us, and in Him we find righteousness, sanctification, and redemption. The foolishness of God is indeed wiser than men, and He is pleased to teach the humble heart while the wisdom of the wise He destroys. When you pray for deep, personal knowledge of Him, you are asking to share in the very mind of Christ, who out of poverty makes us rich, rich with the cleansing of sins, justification, and every good thing measured out beyond our power to contain.

The surpassing greatness of His power is not merely a truth to admire but a strength to uphold you. It is the same might that raised Christ from the dead and seated Him above all rule. That power is now directed toward you who believe, working inwardly through the Holy Spirit to brace you against every trial and carnal reasoning. When your heart is enlightened, you will see that no outward circumstance, whether gain or loss, can add to or take away from this calling. Consider the Magi: they saw a child in a poor dwelling, and yet they worshipped and offered gifts, because the illumination within taught them to honor God veiled in humility.

Therefore, press on. Forget what lies behind, and strain toward the prize of the high calling. Pray without ceasing for this wisdom, and trust that He who began a good work in you will open every dimension of His love, its breadth, length, height, and depth, by His own Spirit. That knowledge is the unfailing strength of the Church, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.

The Holy Spirit has been given so that we might know Him deeply, with an intimate, personal understanding that transforms the way we live.

When you ask for the eyes of your heart to be enlightened, you are asking for what John experienced on the island of Patmos, a true unveiling, a revelation of Jesus Christ. The whole of Scripture points toward this unveiling, culminating in the vision of the throne of God where the living creatures never stop declaring, “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come.” That eternal perspective anchors the hope of your calling. Your hope is not rooted in momentary circumstances but in the One who sits above the sea of glass, whose power raised Christ from the dead and seated Him at the right hand of all authority.

The inheritance you are asking to see more clearly is laid up for those who overcome by faith in the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead. It includes the right to eat from the tree of life in the paradise of God and to be made a pillar in the temple of the new Jerusalem, bearing His name forever. You are not praying for something small. You are asking to grasp the riches of belonging to the God who chose you out of darkness and gave you a share in a kingdom that cannot be shaken.

And that surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe, it is the same power that raised Jesus and put everything under His feet. This is not merely a theological statement; it is the living reality of the church, which is His body, filled by Him who fills all in all. The Spirit of wisdom and revelation opens our understanding to see that we are already seated with Him in the heavenly places, and that His power is at work within us to strengthen us until the day we stand before the throne.

Do not cease praying this prayer for yourself and for others who love the Lord Jesus and love all the saints. Ask the Spirit to keep unveiling the eternal nature of God, the certainty of your hope, and the glory of your inheritance. He is faithful, and He delights to answer such a request.
