🙇🏻 Holy Spirit of Wisdom & Revelation to Know God, The Hope of His Calling, Riches of His Inheritance & His Exceedingly Great Strength, Eph 1:15-23

Nochaeld

Beloved
🙏 For this reason, having heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which exists among you and your love for all the saints, WE DO NOT CEASE giving thanks for you, while making mention of you in my prayers, that the God of Our Lord Jesus Christ, The Glorious Father, may give to us The Ho]ly Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation to know Him better (Epignonowskow -- deep, personal and intimate acquaintance). Grant the eyes of our heart to be enlightened so we may know the hope of Your calling, the riches of Your glorious inheritance those You called out of darkness to light, and the surpassing greatness of Your power toward us who believe, which You exerted when You raised Christ (The Anointed and Promised King -- Messiah -- Like King David referred to King Saul as "The Lord's Anointed," -- only Jesus is "The True David of Judah's Line," "The Lord's TRUE Anointed") from the dead and seated Him at Your Right Hand in the Heavenly Places, (Right Hand of Power, Dan 7:13-14), far above all other rule, authority, power and dominion, both in this age and the age to come, and everything having been put under subjection under His feet, The Father has made Him the Head of over all things and given You (all) power for the church, which is which is Your body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all. Thank You and you all in Jesus' Name (Ephesians 1:15-23).

We join with you in lifting up this powerful prayer inspired by Ephesians 1:15-23, and we are deeply encouraged by your hunger to know God more intimately through the Spirit of wisdom and revelation. This passage is indeed a treasure, revealing the surpassing greatness of Christ’s authority, the hope of our calling, and the riches of our inheritance in Him. Let us stand together in agreement, praying that the eyes of our hearts would be flooded with divine light to grasp these truths more fully.

Father, we come before You as those who have been called out of darkness into Your marvelous light, and we ask that You would pour out Your Holy Spirit upon us afresh. Open the eyes of our understanding, Lord, that we may know You in the fullness of Your glory, Your character, Your ways, and Your heart. Let us not merely know about You, but truly know You, as a bride knows her bridegroom, as a friend knows the depths of a friend’s soul. Deepen our epignosis, our intimate, experiential knowledge of You, so that we may walk in the confidence of our calling.

We pray that You would reveal to us the hope to which You have called us, that we may live with purpose and expectation. Show us the riches of Your glorious inheritance in the saints, that we may see ourselves and one another through Your eyes, as Your beloved, Your chosen, Your treasured possession. And Lord, let us never forget the immeasurable greatness of Your power toward us who believe. This is the same power that raised Christ from the dead, that seated Him at Your right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule, authority, power, and dominion. Let this truth anchor our faith, that we may walk in victory, knowing that Christ has already triumphed over every enemy, and that we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.

We rebuke every lie of the enemy that seeks to diminish our understanding of who You are and who we are in You. The enemy would have us believe that we are weak, that we are insignificant, or that our struggles are insurmountable. But we declare that You have given us authority in Christ, and we stand firm in the truth that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world. We resist every spirit of confusion, doubt, or unbelief that would hinder us from walking in the fullness of Your promises.

We also take this moment to remind all who read this that there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved but the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through faith in Him, His death, burial, and resurrection, that we have access to the Father. If anyone reading this has not surrendered their life to Jesus, we urge you to do so today. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved. There is no other way to the Father, no other mediator, and no other path to eternal life. Jesus Himself said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). We pray that the Holy Spirit would draw hearts to repentance and faith in Christ alone.

Lord, we thank You for the body of Christ, the church, which is Your fullness, the fullness of Him who fills all in all. Unite us in love, in purpose, and in power. Let us walk in the authority You have given us, advancing Your kingdom, making disciples, and demonstrating Your love to a world in desperate need of You. May we never take for granted the privilege of knowing You, of being called Your children, and of being heirs with Christ. Stir within us a fresh hunger for Your Word, for prayer, and for fellowship with one another, that we may grow together into the fullness of Christ.

We declare that Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. We align ourselves with Your purposes, and we ask that You would use us as vessels of Your glory. May our lives reflect the hope, the power, and the love of Christ, so that others may be drawn to You. In every area of our lives, our families, our work, our communities, let us be light and salt, pointing others to the One who is the way, the truth, and the life.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Anointed One, the True David, the King of kings and Lord of lords. To Him be all glory, honor, and dominion, both now and forever. Amen.

We’re so glad you shared this prayer with us. There’s a quiet power in asking for the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, it’s not a request God ignores. The very longing to know Him more deeply is already evidence of His work in your heart. He loves to answer when we seek His face, not just His hand.

What helps us when we pray like this is to let the words of Ephesians 1 become more than a passage we read; we try to carry them into the ordinary moments of the day. As we drive, wash dishes, or pause between tasks, we gently turn our attention back and whisper, “Open the eyes of my heart, Lord.” Little by little, we start noticing His fingerprints where we missed them before, and our hope, our sense of His calling, and our confidence in His strength become more real. You might find it helpful to keep a small notebook nearby and jot down whatever small glimpse of His character or direction comes, no matter how faint.

We’re praying with you now: Father, thank You for this dear soul’s hunger to know You. Grant them the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, that they might grasp the hope, riches, and surpassing power that are theirs in Christ. Enlighten the eyes of their heart and draw them into the deep, personal knowledge of You that transforms everything. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

The prayer that has ascended from your heart is after the very mind of God, for it is drawn from His own Word and seeks that which the Father delights to give. You ask for the Holy Spirit of wisdom and revelation to know Him better, and you do well to make this your unceasing cry. It is one thing to know about God, as a man may know the name of a physician, and quite another to receive the cure from His hand. The true knowledge is a deep, intimate acquaintance, born of communion and sealed by the Spirit in the inward man. Press on for this, and be not content until the eyes of your understanding are flooded with light.

Consider what you seek to know. The hope of His calling is no dim or distant wish, but a certainty rooted in the purpose of God. It is perfection of spirit, soul, and body, for Christ has redeemed the whole man, and He will have the whole to be His inheritance. The hope laid up for you is not merely rescue from wrath, but conformity to the image of the Son, a share in the marriage supper of the Lamb, and a place before the throne where God shall wipe away every tear. This hope purifies the heart, steadies the mind, and lifts the soul above the trials of the hour. Yet none can know it savingly except the Spirit take of the things of Christ and reveal them within.

Then there are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints. Pause and marvel! The Lord’s portion is His people; the church is the fulness of Him that filleth all in all. All the wealth of Deity, all the love of the Father, all the blood-bought purchase of the Son, and all the transforming energy of the Spirit are expended upon that inheritance. We were far off, dead in trespasses and sins, having no hope and without God in the world. But the exceeding riches of His grace brought us out of darkness into His marvellous light. The inheritance He has in us is not what we bring, but what His grace has made us in Christ. Even the angels desire to look into these things, and yet so many of God’s children remain half-starved when a feast is spread before them. Oh, that you may grasp with all saints what is the breadth and length and depth and height, and know the love of Christ which passeth knowledge!

And the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, here is a truth to make the marrow of your bones rejoice. The very power that raised Christ from the dead, that set Him at the Father’s right hand far above all principality and power, is the power that works in you. By this power you were quickened, by this power you are kept, and by this power you shall be raised. Christ is the power of God; the gospel is the power of God; and Christ in you, the hope of glory, is the pledge that no enemy shall prevail against you. The throne of God and of the Lamb is your seat of confidence, for He who sits there has all events in His hand. The storm and the thunder are but His messengers, and they all work together for the fulfillment of His covenant.

Do not think it strange if this knowledge comes through the school of trial. Paul desired to know Christ and the power of His resurrection, and he found that fellowship with His sufferings often opens the door to that power. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not to your own understanding. To trust Him when the way is dark, to rest in Him when the storm howls, is true wisdom. He is your rock, and those who know His name will put their trust in Him. The life of faith is the life of sight in the inner man; as you hang upon Him, the Spirit will unveil more and more of the glory of Christ, and you will find that He Himself is the wisdom you seek. Lift your eyes from the poverty of your own experience to the riches of His grace, and know that all the fulness of the Godhead dwells bodily in Him. Your soul’s good lies not in chasing experiences, but in seeking Christ Himself, for in Him are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Continue in prayer, feed upon the Word, and wait before Him in the silence of trust. He will teach you what no man can utter, and your heart shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You rightly ask for the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, and for the eyes of your heart to be flooded with light. This is no small request, but it aligns with the very prayer the blessed Apostle Paul breathed out for the faithful. He knew that the wisdom of God is not a thing found by human cleverness. The world in its own wisdom did not know God, and so God was well pleased through what seemed like foolishness, the preaching of the cross, to save those who believe. Do you want to know the hope of His calling and the riches of His glorious inheritance? Then fix your gaze there, upon Christ crucified and raised, for He was made unto us wisdom from God.

You ask to know the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe. This is the power that raised Christ from the dead and seated Him far above every dominion. Consider what this means. The wisdom we speak is a mystery, a wisdom hidden from the rulers of this age, which God ordained before the ages for our glory. None of the powers of this world knew it; if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. The very strength you seek is demonstrated not in earthly majesty, but in what the world counts as weakness and shame. The cross is power, ineffable and divine. To have the eyes of your heart enlightened to know this is to behold the very depths of God’s wisdom.

But see to it that you do not merely ask with your lips while your heart clings to folly. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Wickedness and deceit make men fools, for the Holy Spirit of discipline will flee deceit and will not dwell where foolish thoughts are entertained. If you would know the deep and intimate acquaintance with God for which you pray, cast out all perversity from your soul. The light has sprung up for you who sat in darkness. Do not make yourself an enemy of that light by loving shadowy works. The surpassing greatness of His power is for those who believe, those who walk not in the craftiness of human wisdom but in the simplicity of heart that clings to the cross. This is not a wisdom of this age, which is coming to nothing, but the very power of God for your salvation.

Your prayer draws deeply from the heart of what Paul himself longed for every believer to know. That yearning for the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, to know God in a personal and intimate way, is not something you have to stir up on your own. It is exactly what the Lord desires to give. The same power that raised Christ from the dead and seated Him far above every rule and authority is directed toward you who believe. That immeasurable greatness of His power is already at work, not only in the world but in the very hope and inheritance He has stored up for you.

What you are asking for is a down payment, an earnest of a far greater reality. The Holy Spirit is given to us now as that guarantee until the full redemption of everything God has purchased. So when you pray for the eyes of your heart to be flooded with light, you are asking for what the Spirit was sent to do. He illuminates the hope of your calling, reminding you that this world is not your home and that your life is hidden with Christ in God. He unveils the riches of the inheritance, not something you earn but something you are, for the church is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all. And He makes known the strength that is yours, not a distant concept, but the very force that shattered the grave and enthroned Jesus at the right hand of power.

Some people wonder why God would value them so highly. Yet the truth is that you are His inheritance, and He delights in you with a love that will not let go. The same God who said, “I AM” outside of time, who created all things for His pleasure, now calls you into a fellowship of deep knowing. Do not think this wisdom is for a select few. It is for all the saints. The One who is the faithful witness has shown us exactly what the Father is like, and He continues to reveal Himself through His Word and by His Spirit.

Keep asking. Keep seeking. You are not forcing a closed door when you knock on this one; you are stepping into what has already been opened for you in Christ. We are praying with you, that you would grasp how wide and long and high and deep is that love, and that the hope afresh would anchor your soul. The same power that sustains the universe upholds you now and will carry you until you stand before His throne, joining in that eternal song of the redeemed.
