🙇🏻 Holy Spirit of Wisdom & Revelation to Know God, The Hope of His Calling, Riches of His Inheritance & His Exceedingly Great Strength, Eph 1:15-23

Beloved
🙏 For this reason, having heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which exists among you and your love for all the saints, WE DO NOT CEASE giving thanks for you, while making mention of you in my prayers, that the God of Our Lord Jesus Christ, The Glorious Father, may give to us The Ho]ly Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation to know Him better (Epignonowskow -- deep, personal and intimate acquaintance). Grant the eyes of our heart to be enlightened so we may know the hope of Your calling, the riches of Your glorious inheritance those You called out of darkness to light, and the surpassing greatness of Your power toward us who believe, which You exerted when You raised Christ (The Anointed and Promised King -- Messiah -- Like King David referred to King Saul as "The Lord's Anointed," -- only Jesus is "The True David of Judah's Line," "The Lord's TRUE Anointed") from the dead and seated Him at Your Right Hand in the Heavenly Places, (Right Hand of Power, Dan 7:13-14), far above all other rule, authority, power and dominion, both in this age and the age to come, and everything having been put under subjection under His feet, The Father has made Him the Head of over all things and given You (all) power for the church, which is which is Your body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all. Thank You and you all in Jesus' Name (Ephesians 1:15-23).

We join you in lifting up this powerful prayer rooted in Ephesians 1:15-23, asking the Holy Spirit to grant us wisdom and revelation to know God more intimately. What a beautiful truth, that through Christ’s resurrection and exaltation, we have access to the surpassing greatness of His power, the hope of His calling, and the riches of His inheritance in the saints! This passage reminds us that our faith is not merely intellectual but deeply spiritual, requiring the enlightenment of our hearts to grasp the fullness of what God has prepared for those who love Him.

Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the True Anointed One, the Messiah, the Head of the Church, and the Rightful King over all creation. We ask that You would indeed open the eyes of our hearts to see You more clearly, to know You more deeply, and to walk in the fullness of Your calling. Let us not be satisfied with surface-level faith but hunger for the intimate knowledge of You that transforms us from glory to glory. May we grasp the hope to which You have called us, the hope of eternal life, of righteousness, and of being co-heirs with Christ. Let us see the riches of Your glorious inheritance in the saints, recognizing that we are Your treasured possession, called out of darkness into Your marvelous light.

We also pray for the surpassing greatness of Your power to be at work within us. Lord, just as You raised Christ from the dead and seated Him at Your right hand, far above all rule and authority, we ask that You would exert that same power in our lives. Strengthen us to walk in victory over sin, to stand firm against the schemes of the enemy, and to live as ambassadors of Your kingdom. May we never forget that we are Your body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all, and that through us, Your manifold wisdom is made known to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places.

We rebuke any spirit of complacency, distraction, or unbelief that would hinder us from pressing into this revelation. Let us not be content with mere religious activity but seek the deep, personal, and transformative knowledge of You. Father, we thank You for the privilege of being called Your children and for the inheritance that is ours in Christ. May we live in a manner worthy of this calling, with all humility, gentleness, patience, and love, bearing with one another in unity.

We also take this moment to remind all who read this that salvation is found in no other name but Jesus Christ. There is no other way to the Father, no other mediator, and no other path to eternal life. If you have not surrendered your life to Him, we urge you to do so today. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). This is the foundation upon which all true wisdom and revelation are built.

Lord, we thank You for the privilege of coming before Your throne of grace. We ask that You would continue to pour out Your Spirit upon us, that we may know You more, love You more, and serve You more faithfully. May our lives be a living testament to the power of Your resurrection and the hope of Your calling. In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

What a gift to sit with a prayer like this, to see someone so hungry not just to know about God but to know Him deeply, personally, with the very strength that raised Christ from the dead. We share that longing with you, and we are grateful you’ve put words to it for all of us.

Reading your request, we sense that you are already on the path this prayer describes: the Spirit who stirred Paul to pray it is the same Spirit who now stirs your heart to pray it again. That in itself is a taste of the “spirit of wisdom and revelation” at work, not a one-time download but a lifelong unfolding. We often find that knowing the hope of His calling doesn’t come through sudden visions but through the steady, daily experience of Christ’s presence in ordinary faithfulness, and through the eyes of our heart being slowly adjusted to see what is already true in the heavenly places.

One way we’ve found helpful to keep this awareness anchored is to take small pieces of this prayer and carry them into the day. For example, after reading the passage, you might simply pause with a phrase like “the riches of His inheritance” and ask, Lord, what does it mean that I am part of Your inheritance, what joy does that give You? Or with “the exceeding greatness of His power,” you could recall a moment when you felt weak and yet carried, and ask the Spirit to open your eyes to that same resurrection strength at work now. Not as a checklist, but as a quiet way of letting the prayer shape your gaze.

We join you now in this same hunger:

Father, we thank You for this beloved one who desires to know You with deep, intimate acquaintance. Continue to give the Spirit of wisdom and revelation; enlighten the eyes of their heart to grasp the living hope of Your call, and to feel the weight of the inheritance You have in Your holy ones. Let them know, not as theory but as felt reality, the immeasurable greatness of Your power toward us who believe, the same power that raised Christ and seated Him above every rule and authority. Anchor their soul in the truth that this power is for them, and that they are safe in the fullness of Him who fills all in all. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

The prayer that rises from Ephesians is a heavenly compass pointing straight to Christ. You ask for the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, to know Him, to have the eyes of your heart enlightened. This is the true wisdom! Give a man that, and he rises to all the dignity that manhood can possibly know. But mark this well: the wisdom of God is not a cold, intellectual thing. Christ, in His own person, is the power of God and the wisdom of God. You cannot separate the knowledge from the Person. To know Him better is to taste His power, the same power that raised Him from the dead and seated Him at the Father’s right hand. All that strength is toward us who believe. What a glorious truth!

Yet here is a point often missed: knowing and believing must run together. You may have heard a thousand true sayings of God, and they are true and righteous altogether, but do you believe? There are those who know the doctrine, who can recite the hope of His calling, yet remain outside true possession because they do not trust. The lost spirits in hell know, but they have no saving trust. The wisdom that saves is not merely to perceive the riches of His inheritance, but to lay hold of them. That inheritance is exceedingly broad; it is life and peace and joy unspeakable. No child of God has ever yet said, "I have taken all that God can give me and still I am wanting more." God All-Sufficient is our heritage, and He more than fills our deepest need. But you must take possession. How many go fretting and worrying when they ought to be singing because they do not know what God has provided for them! The Spirit enlightens the eyes of the heart not for a distant gaze, but for a present possession through faith.

Consider then this surpassing greatness of His power. Where does it reside? Not in any force of our own, for power with God cannot be anything like physical force or human merit. It proceeds from something in God Himself. We have power with God by reason of His own grace, through the Lamb who sits upon the throne. That Lamb is co-equal and co-eternal with the Father, very God of very God. All power is given to Him, and He exercises it toward His church. The man who has power with God must be safe; if God be for us, who can be against us? And how do we access this? Not by idle wishes, but by drawing near to Him in prayer, trusting not in our own grasp but in the hand that holds us. The throne of God and of the Lamb is a throne of grace, and the Lamb is in the front of the throne, where God always sees Him before He sees us. There is no enduring the sight of God until we see Him in Christ.

Therefore, let this prayer be fulfilled in you. Go to the Wise One for wisdom. Go to this Book for the light of God. Go to the Holy Spirit for divine instruction. He who trusts in the Lord, happy is he. Trust Him for the hope, the certain, glad expectation rooted in His calling. Trust Him for the inheritance, the riches of ages laid up for those called out of darkness. Trust Him for the strength, the very power of the resurrection energizing your daily weakness. When Christ is thus in you, the hope of glory, you prove in your own experience that Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God. Look away from your own emptiness and behold the fullness of Him who fills all in all. Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength. He is your hope, your inheritance, your power. Take them in Him, and walk as one knowing that all the true sayings of God are sealed in His precious blood.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
