Beloved
🙏 For this reason, having heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which exists among you and your love for all the saints, WE DO NOT CEASE giving thanks for you, while making mention of you in my prayers, that the God of Our Lord Jesus Christ, The Glorious Father, may give to us The Ho]ly Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation to know Him better (Epignonowskow -- deep, personal and intimate acquaintance). Grant the eyes of our heart to be enlightened so we may know the hope of Your calling, the riches of Your glorious inheritance those You called out of darkness to light, and the surpassing greatness of Your power toward us who believe, which You exerted when You raised Christ (The Anointed and Promised King -- Messiah -- Like King David referred to King Saul as "The Lord's Anointed," -- only Jesus is "The True David of Judah's Line," "The Lord's TRUE Anointed") from the dead and seated Him at Your Right Hand in the Heavenly Places, (Right Hand of Power, Dan 7:13-14), far above all other rule, authority, power and dominion, both in this age and the age to come, and everything having been put under subjection under His feet, The Father has made Him the Head of over all things and given You (all) power for the church, which is which is Your body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all. Thank You and you all in Jesus' Name (Ephesians 1:15-23).

We join you in gratitude for the faith and love evident among the saints, and we echo your heartfelt prayer for the Holy Spirit of wisdom and revelation to deepen our intimate knowledge of God. This passage in Ephesians is a powerful reminder of the hope, inheritance, and authority we have in Christ, truths that anchor us in every season of life.

Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the True Anointed One, the Messiah who reigns far above all rule and authority. We ask that You would indeed open the eyes of our hearts to see the hope of Your calling, the riches of the glorious inheritance You have prepared for those who love You. Let us grasp the surpassing greatness of Your power, the same power that raised Christ from the dead and seated Him at Your right hand. May we walk in the fullness of this truth, knowing that we are Your body, filled with the fullness of Him who fills all in all.

Lord, we also pray for a spirit of revelation that goes beyond head knowledge. Ignite in us an epignosis, a deep, personal, and transformative acquaintance with You. May we not merely know about You but know You intimately, as a bride knows her bridegroom. Reveal to us the depths of Your love, the breadth of Your grace, and the height of Your sovereignty. Let this revelation shape our thoughts, words, and actions, so that we may live as true ambassadors of Your kingdom.

We rebuke any spirit of complacency or distraction that would keep us from pursuing this intimate knowledge of You. Forgive us for the times we have settled for surface-level faith or allowed the cares of this world to dull our hunger for You. Stir within us a fresh passion to seek Your face, to meditate on Your Word, and to walk in step with Your Spirit.

And Lord, as we grow in this revelation, let it overflow into our relationships, our marriages, our families, and our churches. May our lives reflect the hope and power of the gospel, drawing others to the light of Christ. We declare that Jesus is Lord over every principality and power, and we submit ourselves fully to His lordship.

Thank You, Father, for the privilege of coming before Your throne. We trust in Your promise that those who seek You will find You, and we ask all these things in the powerful and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and King. Amen.

We’re grateful for the way you put words around this hunger, not just for information about God, but for the deep, personal knowing that Paul prayed over the Ephesians. That prayer has a way of settling in our own hearts like a quiet invitation.

What we’ve found helpful over time is that this Spirit-given wisdom and revelation often grows in the unhurried moments we choose to stay with Scripture, not just read it. When we sit with a passage like the one you prayed, perhaps turning a single phrase over in our minds throughout the day, the Holy Spirit tends to lift it off the page and turn it into a conversation with the Father. It becomes less about study and more about presence. That kind of lingering counts as one of the spiritual disciplines that gives the Spirit space to do what only He can do, renew our inner eyesight so we actually taste the hope and the inheritance and the strength already given to us in Christ.

Sometimes we’re tempted to chase an experience of power, but Paul anchors the surpassing greatness right where Jesus is: seated in the heavenly places, far above every other name or force that intimidates us. When we forget that, a simple practice of pausing to picture Christ’s present, unrivaled authority before we go into a hard conversation or a discouraging day can retrain our hearts to rest in what’s real, even when we don’t feel strong.

Thank you for lifting us all heavenward in your prayer. We join you now:

Our glorious Father, grant to us the Spirit of wisdom and revelation so that we keep knowing You, not from a distance but with the intimacy You have already opened through Jesus. Enlighten the eyes of our heart to see the living hope You’ve called us into, the riches of being Your own inheritance, and the same power that raised Christ now at work in our ordinary days. Anchor our hearts in His victory, and let that quiet confidence spill over into love for everyone You’ve placed around us. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Herein is a petition after the very heart of Paul, and I am persuaded it springs from the impulse of that selfsame Spirit who inspired the apostle’s pen. To cry for the Holy Spirit of wisdom and revelation, that you may know God with a deep and intimate acquaintance, this is no natural longing. Flesh and blood did not reveal this to you, but the Father who is in heaven. The very yearning is a token that He has already begun to answer, for no man desires to know the living God unless God has first quickened him with His own life. Therefore let your soul take courage, for such a prayer is the breath of Christ within you.

You ask for the eyes of your heart to be enlightened in three grand realities: the hope of His calling, the riches of the glory of His inheritance, and the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe. I point you then to Jesus Christ, in whom all these treasures are stored up without measure. He is made unto us wisdom from God, aye, and not wisdom only, but power as well. In that blessed person, the man of Nazareth who is over all, God blessed forever, you have the sum and substance of every covenant mercy. Know Christ, and you know the Father. See Him risen and enthroned at the right hand of the Majesty on high, and you behold the power which formed the worlds and now quickens dead sinners into newness of life. The hope of your calling is no phantom hope; it is anchored within the veil, fastened upon the risen Lord who has entered as Forerunner for you. Because He lives, you shall live also. There is hope, yes, a sure and steadfast hope, for the weakest soul that rests upon the finished sacrifice of our Great High Priest.

And what of the riches of His inheritance? Oh, lift up your eyes! The saints are heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ. All things are yours, for you are Christ’s, and Christ is God’s. The glory which the Father gave to the Son, the Son has given to His people. Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, but the Spirit reveals it to our hearts. Yet remember, this inheritance is not a reward of human merit; it is the purchase of the Lamb’s blood, and you partake of it by union with Him. The throne of God and of the Lamb is its surety, and because Jesus sits there, the inheritance is inviolable. Faith, then, living, childlike trust in the faithful Promiser, this is the true wisdom that makes rich and adds no sorrow.

As for the power which raised Christ from the tomb and set Him far above all principality and might, that very power works in you now, and shall bear you safely through every trial. The same Spirit who taught you to pray is the Spirit of power. You are weak, but your weakness is the stage on which His strength is magnified. Go to the mercy seat with Jacob-like importunity, and you shall have power with God. Plead the name of Jesus, and the Father cannot deny you, for the Son has commanded us to ask that our joy may be full. The great Shepherd who gathered the lambs in His arms is not a dull hearer of your cry. He will cause you to know, in sweet experience, that these things are not cunningly devised fables, but the true sayings of God.

Wait upon Him, then, with expectation. Let your meditation be fed by His Word and your knees be acquainted with the dust of the closet. The Spirit who begins this work will perfect it until the day of Christ. Soon you shall be where faith is lost in sight, and hope in full enjoyment, and power in everlasting praise. Until then, fix your gaze upon the Lamb in the midst of the throne, and let your soul exclaim, “Worthy is the Lamb that was slain, to receive power and riches and wisdom and strength and honour and glory and blessing.”

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
