🙇🏻 Holy Spirit of Wisdom & Revelation to Know God, The Hope of His Calling, Riches of His Inheritance & His Exceedingly Great Strength, Eph 1:15-23

Beloved Warrior
🙏 For this reason, having heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which exists among you and your love for all the saints, we DO NOT CEASE giving thanks for you, while making mention of you in my prayers, that the God of Our Lord Jesus Christ, The Glorious Father, may give to us The Holy Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation to know Him better. Grant the eyes of our heart to be enlightened so we may know the hope of Your calling, the riches of Your glorious inheritance those You called out of darkness to light, and the surpassing greatness of Your power toward us who believe, which You exerted when You raised Christ (The Lord's True Anointed and Promised King -- Messiah) from the dead and seated Him at Your Right Hand in the Heavenly Places, (Right Hand of Power, Dan 7:13-14), far above all other rule, authority, power and dominion, both in this age and the age to come, and everything having been put under subjection under His feet, The Father has made Him the Head of over all things and given You (all) power for the church, which is which is Your body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all. Thank You and you all in Jesus' Name (Ephesians 1:15-23).

We rejoice with you in the truth of Ephesians 1:15-23, for it is a powerful declaration of the hope, inheritance, and authority we have in Christ Jesus. Your prayer is aligned with the heart of Scripture, and we join with you in asking the Father to open the eyes of our hearts to know Him more deeply.

Father in Heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, Your Son and our Savior. We thank You for the faith and love that You have poured out upon Your people. Lord, we ask that You would indeed grant us the Spirit of wisdom and revelation so that we may know You better. Enlighten the eyes of our hearts, that we may see the hope to which You have called us, the riches of Your glorious inheritance in the saints and the incomparable greatness of Your power toward us who believe. This power is the same as the mighty strength You exerted when You raised Christ from the dead and seated Him at Your right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come.

We declare that Jesus Christ is Lord over all, and that He has been given all authority in heaven and on earth. We pray that the church, which is His body, would walk in the fullness of this truth, operating in the power and authority that You have bestowed upon us. May we be filled with the knowledge of Your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so that we may live lives worthy of You, Lord, pleasing You in every way, bearing fruit in every good work, and growing in the knowledge of God.

We also lift up those who may be reading this prayer, Lord. If there is anyone who does not yet know You as Savior and Lord, we pray that their hearts would be softened, and their eyes opened to the truth of the Gospel. There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved, only the name of Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12). We pray that they would confess with their mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in their hearts that You raised Him from the dead, so that they may be saved (Romans 10:9). May they turn from darkness to light, from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in Jesus (Acts 26:18).

Lord, we also ask that You would guard our hearts and minds against deception. In a world that often rejects Your truth, help us to stand firm in the faith, holding fast to the teachings of Scripture. May we not be swayed by the philosophies and empty deceits of this world, but may we be rooted and built up in Christ, strengthened in the faith as we have been taught (Colossians 2:6-8).

We pray for unity in the body of Christ, that we may be one as You and Your Son are one (John 17:21). May we love one another deeply, from the heart, as You have loved us. Let us spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, but encouraging one another, and all the more as we see the Day approaching (Hebrews 10:24-25).

Father, we thank You for the privilege of coming before Your throne of grace. We thank You for hearing our prayers and for the assurance that You are working all things together for the good of those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). May Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

What a beautiful prayer to bring before God together. We join our hearts with yours in these very words Paul carried for the Ephesians, asking the Spirit to flood us with wisdom, revelation, and a real, deep knowing of God.

One thing we’ve seen over the years is how many of these prayers are answered as we gather with others who are seeking the same thing. When we study Scripture and pray together in small groups, the Spirit often opens our eyes to the hope of our calling and the riches of our inheritance in ways we’d miss on our own. It’s not about having all the answers, but about being in a place where Christ promises to be present, right in the middle of our seeking. If you’re not already part of a small group or a prayer partnership where you can keep praying through passages like Ephesians together, that can be a simple, powerful next step.

And simply knowing someone else is praying these words alongside you can bring a surprising comfort and steadiness. We’re doing that now, standing with you before the throne, not because we have perfect faith, but because we trust the One who hears.

Father, we thank You for this longing to know You better. Fill us with the Spirit of wisdom and revelation. Enlighten the eyes of our hearts to truly grasp the hope You’ve called us to, the glorious riches of our inheritance among the saints, and the immeasurable greatness of Your power toward us who believe. We ask this not just for one but for Your whole body, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

You have laid hold of a great prayer, one that stretches over the whole of your life and reaches right into eternity. And I am glad of it, because a prayer like this is a sure mark that the Spirit of God is already stirring in your heart, giving you a hunger that only He can satisfy. You would not be crying out for the eyes of your heart to be enlightened if the True Light were not already dawning upon you. So take that as a quiet, steady comfort before we step further.

What you are really asking for is to know, to know deep down, in the hidden place where the soul does its real living, three immense things: the hope of His calling, the riches of His inheritance in the saints, and that staggering, surpassing power that raised the Lord Jesus from the dead. Let me sit with you a while over each of them, not to explain them as a teacher might, but to hold them up so that faith can see them and take strength.

First, the hope of His calling. Think what it means that God has called you at all. Out of the noise and the darkness and the endless striving, His voice reached you and your heart answered. It was not you that began the conversation; it was He. And when He calls, He calls to something. A man does not invite a beggar to his house and then leave him shivering on the doorstep, he has a place prepared. Your Father has called you to an inheritance that cannot be taken from you, a weight of glory that will make the heaviest trial you now endure seem as light as a breath. That hope is not a thin, uncertain wish, like a child’s dream at bedtime. It is an anchor. You cannot see it, for anchors do their work out of sight under the dark water, but it lays hold of a rock and the ship cannot be swept away. Your hope is hidden with Christ in God, and it will hold though the storm screams and the cable strains. Your present weariness, the long way that has stretched your strength thin, is not the end. It is the rough lane that leads to the Father’s house. Do not let the length of the path make you say there is no hope. There is hope, and it is as sure as the throne of God.

Then the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints. Here is a thing that may startle you: you are part of Christ’s inheritance. That is what the prayer means when it speaks of the riches of His inheritance in the saints. He sees a treasure in you, not because you are strong or accomplished or spotless, you know better than that, but because He bought you with His own blood and He prizes what He has redeemed. And just as you are part of His wealth, so every other trembling, imperfect believer around you is a jewel in His crown. You are not walking this weary way alone; you are surrounded by those whom He counts as precious. When you look at the poor, struggling church, you are seeing the King’s own treasury, though the gems are often uncut and covered with dust. One day all that will be plain. Ask the Spirit to let you see it now, in the middle of the trial, so that you do not measure your wealth by the thin purse you carry today. You are an heir of God, and a joint-heir with Christ. That is true riches.

And now the exceedingly great power. This is the thing that makes the difference. You have felt your own strength dry up like a cistern in a drought. You know what it is to be weary and spent, to find that all your own resolves and resources come to exactly nothing. Good. That is precisely where the promise begins. The power that is toward you as a believer is the very power that God exerted when He raised Christ from the dead and seated Him far above every rule, authority, and dominion. Stop and let that sink into your soul. The same hand that tore the bars out of death’s prison and lifted the Lord Jesus to the highest throne is stretched out toward you at this moment. Your weakness does not matter. In fact, your weakness is the place where His strength is most at home. When a little child walks in the dark, he does not trust his own firm footing; he reaches up and takes hold of his father’s finger. And in that small grip, he feels as safe as a lion, because all the father’s strength is his. You have no power, but you have a hold of One who does. And He says to you, “They shall walk, and not faint.” The shall of grace is mightier than all the weariness of your nature. Wait on Him, and you will renew your strength; you will mount up with wings as an eagle, though right now you feel chained to the earth.

And let this comfort you most of all: the throne over all things is not a throne of cold, distant power. It is the throne of God and of the Lamb. The Lamb, the little, tender Lamb that was slain, sits in the seat of highest majesty. The very one who rules every wave and authority is the one who loved you and gave Himself for you. His heart has not changed, though His place has. He wears the crown, but He still has the shepherd’s tenderness. The government of your life, down to its smallest detail, is in the hands of the pierced hands. So you can be absolutely certain that everything is working toward a gracious end. The true sayings of God cannot be broken. The Lord omnipotent reigns, and you are among the called to the marriage supper of the Lamb. That is a truth to rest on, a pillow to sleep on, a rock to stand on.

I would have you close your eyes now and simply take these things into your heart by faith. You do not need to fight for them, earn them, or struggle them into being. They are gifts, already given, already yours in Christ. The Holy Spirit is the earnest, the first installment, the pledge that the full inheritance is on its way.

Our Father, we bow before You and ask You now to do for this beloved one all that Paul asked for the Ephesians. Give the Spirit of wisdom and revelation so that Christ may be truly known. Flood the eyes of the heart with light, so that the hope of Your calling may burn bright, the riches of Your inheritance in the saints may be felt as real, and the exceeding greatness of Your power may lift this soul above every fear and every doubt. Fold this dear child in the arms that hold the universe, and let no one snatch the joy away. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We are so grateful that you shared your heart with us and allowed us to join you in seeking the Holy Spirit of wisdom and revelation to know God more deeply. What a precious request—to have the eyes of your heart enlightened, to grasp the hope of His calling, the riches of His inheritance, and the surpassing greatness of His power at work in believers. We have continued to lift this prayer before the Father, asking Him to reveal Himself to you in fresh and powerful ways, just as He did for Paul when he prayed these same words over the Ephesians.

If the Lord has answered this prayer in your life, we would love to hear how He has moved! Please share a praise report so we can rejoice with you in His faithfulness. If you are still waiting to see His hand at work, we encourage you to post this request again so we can persist in standing with you in prayer. The Lord is never slow to answer, and His timing is perfect.

May He continue to draw you closer to Himself, deepening your understanding of His love, His purposes, and the authority you have in Christ. We remain committed to praying alongside you, trusting that the same power that raised Jesus from the dead is at work in you. Blessings to you as you seek Him with all your heart, in Jesus’ Name.
