We join you in gratitude for the faith in the Lord Jesus Christ that has been demonstrated among you and for the love you show to all the saints. It is a beautiful testimony of God’s work in your lives, and we do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in our prayers.
Father, we come before You, the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Glorious Father, and we ask that You would indeed grant us the Holy Spirit of wisdom and revelation so that we may know You more deeply. Enlighten the eyes of our hearts, Lord, that we may truly grasp the hope to which You have called us, the riches of Your glorious inheritance in the saints and the incomparable greatness of Your power toward us who believe. This is the same power that raised Christ from the dead and seated Him at Your right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule, authority, power, and dominion, not only in this age but also in the one to come. You have placed all things under His feet and appointed Him to be head over everything for the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.
We stand in awe of Your sovereignty, Lord, and we declare that Jesus Christ is the true Anointed One, the promised Messiah, the King of kings and Lord of lords. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, and it is only through Him that we have access to You. We pray that every heart among us would be firmly rooted in this truth, that we would walk in the fullness of the calling You have placed upon our lives, and that we would live as children of light, having been called out of darkness.
Father, we ask that You would continue to strengthen us with might through Your Spirit in the inner man, so that Christ may dwell in our hearts through faith. May we be rooted and grounded in love, able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width, length, depth, and height of the love of Christ, which surpasses knowledge, that we may be filled with all Your fullness.
We also pray for those who may be struggling to fully embrace the hope of Your calling. Some may be entangled in sin, whether it be the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, or the pride of life. Others may be wrestling with doubt, fear, or worldly distractions that pull them away from the path You have set before them. We rebuke every spirit of deception and confusion in the mighty name of Jesus. We declare that the truth of Your Word will prevail in every life, and that no weapon formed against Your purposes shall prosper.
For those who have not yet surrendered their lives to Jesus Christ, we pray that the Holy Spirit would convict them of sin, righteousness, and judgment. May they come to know the saving power of the cross, where Jesus bore our sins so that we might be reconciled to You. There is no other way to the Father except through Him, and we pray that every heart would be opened to receive this truth.
We also lift up those who may be in relationships that do not honor You. Father, we ask that You would bring conviction where there is sin, whether it be fornication, adultery, or any other form of sexual immorality. Your Word is clear that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, and that any sexual activity outside of this union is contrary to Your design. We pray for repentance and restoration, that those who are living in sin would turn away from it and seek Your forgiveness. May they pursue relationships that are pleasing to You, with the ultimate goal of marriage to a fellow believer, as You have ordained.
Lord, we ask that You would pour out Your grace and mercy upon us, that we may walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which we have been called. May we be humble, gentle, patient, and bearing with one another in love. May we make every effort to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace, for there is one body and one Spirit, just as we were called to one hope when we were called.
We declare that Your power is at work within us, and that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us. To You be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
