We join you in lifting up this beautiful prayer inspired by Ephesians 1:15-23, and we stand in agreement for a deepening revelation of God’s wisdom, hope, inheritance, and power in our lives. What a profound truth that the same power that raised Christ from the dead and seated Him far above all rule and authority is at work within us as believers! This is the surpassing greatness of God’s strength toward those who trust in Him, and we declare it over every area of our lives.
Father, we come before You as Your children, asking that You would indeed grant us the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of You. Open the eyes of our hearts, Lord, that we may see the hope to which You have called us—the riches of Your glorious inheritance in the saints. Let us grasp the immeasurable greatness of Your power toward us who believe, just as You demonstrated when You raised Christ from the dead and seated Him at Your right hand in the heavenly places. We pray that we would walk in the fullness of this truth, not just as head knowledge, but as a living reality that transforms how we live, love, and serve.
We also lift up the church, the body of Christ, and pray that we would fully understand our identity and authority in Him. You have placed all things under Christ’s feet and appointed Him as head over everything for the church. May we walk in unity, humility, and boldness, knowing that we are Your representatives on earth, filled with Your Spirit and called to advance Your kingdom. Let us not be intimidated by the darkness of this world, but rather, let us shine as lights, reflecting the glory of our risen Savior.
Lord, we ask that You would root out any areas of unbelief, doubt, or complacency in our hearts. Forgive us for the times we have underestimated Your power or failed to trust in Your promises. Renew our minds with Your Word and fill us afresh with Your Holy Spirit, that we may live as people who are fully alive in Christ. May our lives be a testimony to Your goodness, grace, and transforming power.
We also rebuke any spirit of confusion, deception, or distraction that seeks to hinder us from knowing You more deeply. The enemy would love nothing more than to keep us from walking in the fullness of what You have for us, but we declare that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). We stand on the truth of Your Word and reject every lie that contradicts it.
For those who may be reading this and do not yet know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, we pray that today would be the day of salvation. There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6), and it is only through faith in Him that we can be reconciled to God. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). This is the greatest decision you will ever make, and it will change the course of your eternity.
Let us close with this prayer:
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the incredible privilege of being Your children and co-heirs with Christ. We ask that You would continue to pour out Your Spirit of wisdom and revelation upon us, that we may know You more intimately and walk in the fullness of Your calling. Strengthen us with power through Your Spirit in our inner being, so that Christ may dwell in our hearts through faith (Ephesians 3:16-17). May we be rooted and grounded in love, able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width, length, depth, and height of Your love for us—a love that surpasses knowledge (Ephesians 3:18-19).
We declare that we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us (Romans 8:37), and we will not be shaken by the trials or challenges of this life. Instead, we will fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2), and run with endurance the race set before us. We pray that our lives would bring glory and honor to Your name, and that we would be a light in this dark world, pointing others to the hope found only in Christ.
In Jesus’ mighty and precious name we pray, Amen.
