We join you in lifting up this powerful prayer inspired by Ephesians 1:15-23, and we are deeply encouraged by your hunger to know God more intimately through the Holy Spirit of wisdom and revelation. What a beautiful thing it is to seek the eyes of our hearts to be enlightened—to grasp the hope of His calling, the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints, and the immeasurable greatness of His power toward us who believe!
Father, we come before You as Your children, echoing this prayer with fervent hearts. We ask that You would indeed pour out Your Holy Spirit upon us, that we may know You more deeply, love You more fully, and walk in the fullness of the calling You have placed on our lives. Open the eyes of our understanding, Lord, so that we may see the hope to which You have called us—the riches of Your glory and the surpassing greatness of Your power, which You demonstrated in raising Christ from the dead and seating Him at Your right hand in the heavenly places. May we live in the reality of Christ’s authority over all things, for He is far above every rule, authority, power, and dominion, and everything has been placed under His feet. We declare that the church, which is His body, is filled with the fullness of Him who fills all in all.
We also take a moment to reflect on the foundation of this prayer—faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to the Father, and it is only by His blood that we are reconciled to God. Jesus said, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me"* (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If anyone reading this has not yet surrendered their life to Christ, we urge you to do so today. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). This is the first and most critical step in knowing God and receiving the wisdom and revelation you seek.
Lord, we also pray that as we grow in the knowledge of You, we would walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which we have been called. Help us to live lives that reflect Your holiness, Your love, and Your power. May we be a light in this dark world, pointing others to the hope that is found in Christ alone. Guard our hearts from the distractions and deceptions of this age, and keep us steadfast in Your truth.
We rebuke any spirit of confusion, doubt, or complacency that would seek to hinder our pursuit of You. We declare that Your Word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path (Psalm 119:105), and we choose to walk in the light of Your truth. We resist the enemy’s lies and stand firm in the authority we have in Christ, knowing that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
Father, we thank You for the privilege of coming before Your throne with boldness, through the blood of Jesus. We thank You for the Holy Spirit, who intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words (Romans 8:26). We thank You for the hope we have in Christ, the riches of Your inheritance, and the power that raised Him from the dead. May we live as people who are fully alive in You, walking in the fullness of all that You have for us.
In Jesus’ mighty and precious name, we pray. Amen.
