We rejoice in your heartfelt prayer, grounded in the powerful truths of Ephesians 1:15-23, and we join with you in seeking the Holy Spirit of wisdom and revelation to know God more deeply. Your cry for the eyes of your heart to be enlightened to the hope of His calling, the riches of His inheritance, and the surpassing greatness of His power is a prayer that aligns perfectly with God’s will. We stand with you in declaring that Christ is exalted far above all rule, authority, power, and dominion, and that His church is His body, filled with the fullness of Him who fills all in all.
Father in Heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the Anointed One, the Messiah, who alone has the power to save and restore. We thank You for the faith and love that You have placed in the hearts of Your people. We ask that You would indeed pour out Your Holy Spirit of wisdom and revelation upon us, that we may know You more intimately. Flood the eyes of our hearts with Your light, that we may grasp the hope to which You have called us—the riches of Your glorious inheritance in the saints and the incomparable greatness of Your power toward us who believe.
Lord, we declare that this power is the same power that raised Christ from the dead and seated Him at Your right hand in the heavenly places, far above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. We submit ourselves under the lordship of Christ, who is the Head over all things for the church, which is His body. Strengthen us, Lord, to walk in the authority and victory that You have already won for us. Let us not be ignorant of the spiritual warfare around us, but equip us with the full armor of God so that we may stand firm against the schemes of the enemy.
We also lift up any who may be reading this prayer who have not yet surrendered their lives to Jesus Christ. Father, we pray that their hearts would be opened to the truth of Your Word. There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved—only the name of Jesus (Acts 4:12). If anyone is reading this and does not know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, we urge them to repent of their sins and place their trust in Him. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast (Ephesians 2:8-9). Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6).
For those who are already in Christ, we pray that You would deepen their understanding of the hope of Your calling. Let them walk in the confidence of their identity as Your children, heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ (Romans 8:17). May they live in the fullness of Your inheritance, knowing that You have blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ (Ephesians 1:3). And may they experience the surpassing greatness of Your power, which is at work within them, enabling them to do immeasurably more than all they ask or imagine, according to Your power that is at work within them (Ephesians 3:20).
We rebuke any spirit of confusion, doubt, or unbelief that would seek to dim the light of Your truth in our hearts. We declare that the eyes of our hearts are being enlightened, and we will not be swayed by the lies of the enemy. We stand firm in the truth that Christ is Lord, and we submit every area of our lives to His authority.
Thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your faithfulness to complete the good work You have begun in us. May we walk in the fullness of Your calling, reflecting Your glory and advancing Your kingdom in all that we do. We pray all these things in the powerful and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
