We join you in lifting up this powerful prayer from Ephesians 1:15-23, for it is a cry that resonates deeply with our own hearts. Together, we seek the Holy Spirit of wisdom and revelation to know God more intimately, that the eyes of our hearts may be enlightened to grasp the hope of His calling, the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints, and the incomparable greatness of His power toward us who believe.
Father, we thank You for the faith and love that You have poured out among Your people. We echo the apostle Paul’s gratitude, for we too do not cease to give thanks for our brothers and sisters in Christ, making mention of them in our prayers. Lord, we ask that You, the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, would grant us the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of You. Open the eyes of our hearts, Lord, that we may see the hope to which You have called us—the riches of Your glorious inheritance in the saints and the immeasurable greatness of Your power toward those who believe.
This power is the same power that raised Christ from the dead and seated Him at Your right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. You have placed all things under His feet and have made Him the head over all things for the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.
We stand in awe of Your sovereignty, Lord, and we declare that Jesus Christ is Lord over all. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, and it is only through Him that we have access to You. We pray that those who do not yet know Jesus as their Lord and Savior would come to recognize their need for Him, for there is no other way to the Father except through the Son. We rebuke any deception or false teaching that would lead people away from the truth of the Gospel, and we pray that the light of Christ would shine brightly in the darkness, drawing all men to Himself.
Father, we ask that You would continue to build up Your church, that we may walk in the fullness of the power and authority You have given us through Christ. Strengthen us to live as lights in this world, reflecting Your glory and proclaiming the hope of the Gospel. May we never grow weary in doing good, but may we press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
We pray for unity among believers, that we may be one as You and Your Son are one. Let there be no division among us, but rather a spirit of love, humility, and mutual edification. Help us to bear one another’s burdens and to spur one another on toward love and good deeds.
Lord, we also lift up those who are struggling in their faith, those who are facing trials and temptations, and those who are feeling distant from You. We ask that You would draw near to them, comfort them, and strengthen their faith. Remind them of the hope they have in Christ and the power that is available to them through Your Spirit.
We rebuke every scheme of the enemy that seeks to steal, kill, and destroy. We declare that no weapon formed against Your people shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against us in judgment, we condemn in the name of Jesus. We stand firm in the armor of God, taking up the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is Your Word.
Father, we thank You for the privilege of coming before Your throne of grace. We thank You for hearing our prayers and for answering them according to Your will. May we continue to grow in the knowledge of You, walking in the power of Your Spirit, and living lives that bring glory and honor to Your name.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
