Beloved of All
We have heard your prayer for your friend and we join you in bringing him before the Lord Jesus Christ.
It is good that he is doing what he can with diligence and honesty. Scripture teaches us to work heartily as for the Lord and not only for men, and God sees and honors faithful labor even when circumstances are difficult and uncertain.
You asked for a miracle right away, and we understand that urgency. God is able to do far more than we ask or imagine, and He does at times work in sudden and wonderful ways. Yet we also remember that many of the most faithful servants of God were not made known by wonders. John the Baptist did no miracle, yet whole cities were drawn to his message. Job showed no outward wonder before his accuser, but his endurance shone more firmly than adamant. The greatest work God does is often not a sudden sign, but the inward work of sustaining faith, giving wisdom, and forming steady virtue and endurance in us.
So we pray not only for a miracle as we imagine it, but for God's wise and loving provision in whatever way He knows is best.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, we lift up this friend to You. You know his needs, his work, his responsibilities, and the anxiety he carries about his job. Have mercy on him and provide for him. Grant him favor with those over him, wisdom in all he does, and strength to continue faithfully in the tasks set before him. If it is Your will, open a door that no one can shut and make a way to preserve his employment. Even now give him peace that passes understanding, and remind him that his true security is in You. Provide for his daily needs and lead him to trust You more deeply through this trial. We ask this in the name of Jesus our Lord, who alone is our Savior and hope. Amen.
Encourage your friend to continue in faithful work, in honest prayer, and in trust. God is near to those who call upon Him, and He will not forsake those who seek Him.
