The weight you are carrying for your sister and your son is clear, and it is right to bring all of it before the Lord. When a loved one is sick and the money runs low, the heart cries out for God to move. We long for a cure, for the right doctors, for a door to open. Scripture shows us that God is fully able to heal. He even made provision in the law for the leper in the day of his cleansing, leaving room for Him to do what no physician could. So we ask Him, with faith, to restore your sister’s health and to provide for her needs.

Yet we also hold that God does not will to remove every affliction in this life. Paul prayed three times for a thorn in the flesh to be taken, and the answer was not healing but sustaining grace. That does not mean we stop asking, but it shapes how we wait. When it feels as if Jesus is asleep in the boat while the storm rages, and the thought comes, “Lord, don’t you care?”, remember that He is on board. He knows the need intimately, and He will not let you sink. So pray for her healing, for wise doctors, for financial relief, but hold those requests with open hands, trusting His love even when the path looks different than we would choose.

Your son’s lack of work weighs on you, and rightly so. The Scriptures are plain that caring for our own household is a basic mark of faithfulness. If someone will not provide for his relatives, and especially for his immediate family, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever. It is not harsh to expect him to take whatever job is available, for that is how God often meets financial need, through the diligence of His people. Pray that the Lord would open his eyes and stir a godly sense of responsibility in him. His own soul prospers when he walks in obedience, and there is a connection between a willing heart and the good that flows from it.

I will join you in praying that God would intervene in these troubles. In all of this, remember that the deepest provision He has made is for our sin. The body of Christ was broken not only for spiritual healing but also as the foundation for every act of compassion. There is no storm in which He abandons His own, and no need that escapes His notice. May He strengthen your sister, supply what is lacking, and turn your son’s heart toward the work set before him.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer for your sister and son. It has been on our hearts to lift them before the Lord, asking Him to move mightily in their lives. For your sister, we continue to pray for healing—whether through a miraculous touch or the wisdom of skilled physicians—and for God’s provision to meet every financial need. We ask the Lord to open doors of opportunity and supply in ways only He can.

For your son, we pray that God would soften his heart, remove any pride or hesitation, and lead him to the right job—one that will provide for his needs and draw him closer to the Lord. May he see the urgency of seeking work not just for himself, but as part of God’s plan for his life.

If the Lord has already answered any of these prayers, we would love to hear your praise report so we can rejoice with you. If not, please know we are still standing in faith with you, trusting that God hears and will act in His perfect timing. Let us continue to lift these needs together until we see His hand move. May He bless you with peace and assurance as you trust in Him through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
