Beloved of All
I hope not to get sick. I have a physio appointment tomorrow, I hope it goes well. Hope my physiotherapist doesn’t ask too many questions and treats me well. Hope my right leg gets better soon. My dad ### says that my mum’s behaviour is worse than mine, I don’t know how true that is anymore, by the way things are going with the stress and things going on, especially when a lot of things go wrong (not everything) like today. I hope my mum doesn’t threaten to kick me out due to my actions. My mum has many jobs, and yet she is applying for more, in her mind not enough. We are not rich but doing okay. She is doing a trial at a job tomorrow, I hope she not gets it. Her mental health isn’t the best. My dad’s physical health isn’t the best, hope he can do more soon. Hope my parents don’t get too nosy about my money and things. She is strange with money. Hope supper turns out okay. If my mum and I leave town, I hope it isn’t until after ###.

We hear your heart and lift up every concern to the Lord, trusting in His sovereignty and care over every detail of your life. First, we pray for your health and your physiotherapy appointment. Father, we ask that You grant wisdom to the physiotherapist, that they may treat you with kindness and professionalism, and that your right leg would receive the healing it needs. "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers" (3 John 1:2). May this appointment bring relief and progress, and may you feel Your peace surrounding you.

We also bring your family before You, Lord. The stress and tension in your home are palpable, and we ask that You would bring calm and understanding. Your Word tells us, "Cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you" (1 Peter 5:7). We pray for your mother’s mental health and your father’s physical health. Father, grant them both the strength and clarity they need. We ask that You soften hearts and bring unity where there is strife. Help your parents to trust in Your provision rather than being driven by fear or the need to control. "Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it" (Psalm 127:1). We pray that your mother’s trial tomorrow would not add to her burden but would instead reveal Your will for her and your family.

We also lift up the concern about your living situation. Father, we ask that You guard your heart from fear and uncertainty. "God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind" (2 Timothy 1:7). If there is any ungodly behavior or words spoken in anger, we rebuke them in the name of Jesus. We pray that your home would be a place of peace, not threats or instability. Help your parents to respect your boundaries, especially regarding your finances and personal matters. "Let each one of you speak truth with his neighbor, for we are members of one another" (Ephesians 4:25).

Lord, we also ask that You would provide wisdom for supper and any interactions tonight. May Your presence bring harmony and grace to your home. If there is a need for you and your mother to leave town, we pray that it would be in Your perfect timing and for Your purposes. "The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in his way" (Psalm 37:23).

Finally, we want to gently remind you that true peace and healing come through a relationship with Jesus Christ. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Him, we encourage you to consider the gift of salvation He offers. "For God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16). It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and the peace that surpasses all understanding.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, trusting that He hears and answers our prayers according to His will. Amen.

It sounds like you're carrying a lot all at once, worry about your appointment, your leg, how things are at home, and a dozen other things swirling at the same time. That kind of steady pressure can feel exhausting, and we want you to know we're sitting with you in it.

A lot of what you've described lands in the same place: the anxious feeling of waiting to see how things will go, especially when so much feels out of your hands. We've noticed that when life piles on like this, one of the hardest things is simply how alone the stress can make a person feel. You're not alone in it, though. Right now, as you wait for that physio appointment and wonder how your mum will act or how your dad is doing, God sees each of those concerns and doesn't dismiss a single one.

For the appointment tomorrow, it may help to quietly ask God to go before you as you walk through the door, to give you a calm spirit, a kind and skilled physiotherapist, and a clear sense of how your leg is actually doing. If there's something physical going on that worries you, we'd also gently encourage you to let the physio know, since they can assess things no amount of worry can solve. That's not a lack of trust; it's using the help God has put in front of you.

The tension with your parents, the fear of being kicked out, the strange dynamics around money, those are heavy things to live under day after day. We won't pretend to have quick answers, but we will pray that God makes a way for you where the air at home feels less tight, that small mercies show up tomorrow and in the days ahead.

Lord, we lift this one to you, body and mind and home all feeling strained. Quiet the anxious thoughts, steady the leg, and give a good, straightforward appointment tomorrow. Bring calm into the household, healing where bodies and minds are worn down, and just enough provision and peace for today. Hold this family together, and hold this dear person close. In Jesus' name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

It is a mercy that you have brought these many tremblings to the throne of grace, for the very act of spreading them out is an act of faith. Yet I perceive a multitude of fears, like a flock of twittering sparrows, that would keep your soul in a state of perpetual flutter. You hope not to be sick, you hope the appointment goes well, you hope your leg heals, you hope your mother does not threaten, you hope your father’s health improves, you hope the trial job falls through, you hope nobody is nosy about your money, you hope supper turns out, you hope you do not leave town too soon. These hopes are so mingled with anxieties that they are scarcely hopes at all; they are the whispers of a doubtful mind.

Our Lord’s command cuts through this tangled knot: “Neither be ye of a doubtful mind.” The chief concern of a man is to see that his own soul is right in the sight of God. When the heart is fixed upon the finished work of Christ, these outward details fall into their proper place. You speak of your mother’s mental health and her strange relationship with money, your father’s physical decline, and the comparison your father makes between your behaviour and hers. You are breathing a heavy, earthly atmosphere. As long as you attempt to measure the ocean of divine love in a thimble, estimating His providence by the few drops you can hold, you will remain in this murky gloom. Do not hang up the blinds and shutters to keep out the Sun of Righteousness.

Your mother’s striving for more work, even when you are doing well enough, is a wearisome pursuit. Yet many are driven unwillingly to their labors by a deeper restlessness. That trial job you dread for her sake, you must leave it with the Lord. It is not your place to hope for her failure, but to pray for her soul’s peace, which is not secured by a leaner or fatter bank account. The fear that she might threaten to cast you out because of your actions is a heavy weight. This is a snare of the fear of man. If you are a believer in the Lord Jesus, play the man and let your faith overcome this fear. No man shall be faithful to God if he is fearful of man. The real piety in you, the grace of God in your soul, that is the thing which matters, not the fluctuating opinions of others, even those closest to you.

You say many things are going wrong. You feel the stress. But remember the healing leaves are for the nations. There is but one tree who is Christ Jesus, and His leaves are for the healing of every disease of the soul and for the sanctification of the body’s sorrows. While you look to your physiotherapist for your leg, look to Jesus for your spirit. The healing virtue which His grace infuses into us works us toward perfect health. Cast your bodily care upon Him, but above all, cast your care of soul upon Him. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy, He first dealt with the root: “Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee.” Pardon and healing were one.

Regarding your parents, you must honour them, but you must not let the dread of their questions make you a slave. Your position of unrest and dread is not the posture of a son or daughter of the King. Why do you not abandon this vain method of building your peace upon the shifting sand of other people’s moods? “Unless the Lord builds the house, they labour in vain that build it.” If your mother is strange with money, see to it that your own heart is not consumed by the love of it, and then trust God to manage her strangeness.

There is a right kind of fear, a fear of grieving so tender a Father, which makes a man watch his every footstep. Cultivate that reverent fear. But the fear that anticipates evil, the apprehension that some dreadful thing is about to happen this day or the next, is a slavish fear that needs to be brought to the cross. It is a part of the unbelief that dishonors our holy religion in the eyes of those who watch us. The situation with your father’s comparison of your behaviour and your mother’s, let it drive you not to bitterness but to the telescope of faith. Look often to the glory to come. In a very little time, we shall be where the inhabitant shall never be sick again, never misunderstood, never strained in family relationships. We are on our way to eternal health.

Do not think the greatness of your present trial exceeds His atoning sympathy. Lay hold upon the hearing of faith. Your fear does not make the bent reed of your leg straight, nor does it straighten your mother’s tangled thoughts. Fear is weakening. Fear dishonors God. It is Christ’s business to help this poor worm Jacob. Therefore, spread your cares before Him, then roll them overboard. Let all be of grace and nothing of self. Fear not the want of outward good; He will for His own provide.

You have brought many things before the Lord, yet notice how the cares of this life crowd in. The physio appointment, the leg, your mother’s threats, her job, your father’s health, the money, the supper, the travel, these are thorns that choke the word if we let them. Christ told us plainly that the care of this world and the deceitfulness of riches make the soul unfruitful. So do not let your mind be seized by every passing fear. The evil one attacks through anxiety, but the peace of Christ surpasses it all.

You hope your physio goes well and your leg heals. That is fitting to ask, but do not pin your joy on it. If the leg mends slowly, bear it as a contest that yields a crown. You hope your mother does not get the new job. Examine that wish. Is it concern for her health, or is it some hidden root of resentment or fear of her control? Recall: every conflict springs from covetousness, envy, or vainglory. Check your own heart, lest you be fighting against God’s providence. She may be driven by a restless spirit, but God can use even her excess to teach you patience. Do not desire her failure; rather pray that if it be harmful, the Lord would block it, and if not, that He give you grace to endure.

You fear she will cast you out. That threat hangs over you, and it is heavy. But hear the Apostle: “The sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed.” If you suffer unjustly, you are blessed. Yet do not provoke her. Honor her as a parent, even in her weakness. She is, in her own way, an authority permitted by God, and her struggles with money and mental strain do not strip away the command to honor father and mother. Do not let bitterness grow. If she is harsh, remember that he who plots against his neighbor first destroys himself.

Your father’s physical weakness tugs at you. Here is an occasion to serve. When you assist him, you share in his affliction, and you will share in his reward. Do not merely hope he can do more, but do what you can for him. That is the work of faith.

You worry about their nosiness over your money. Why should that trouble you, unless your treasure is bound up in earthly coin? If they pry, answer simply and keep your conscience free. Do not let the love of money or the fear of man’s opinion steal your peace. Your true wealth cannot be taken.

As for the trip out of town, commit it to God. If it must be delayed, accept the delay as His ordering. Rushing ahead of His time brings turmoil.

In all these things, stand ready for whatever conflict He permits, but do not rush into unnecessary strife. Wait on the time of testing. When it comes, bear it bravely; until then, be quiet and keep your soul free from the noise of worldly cares.
