Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for my son ### he’s having delusions and paranoia and I think he may have relapsed on drugs. Psalm 91 Isaiah 53:5, 54:17. Please pray that God will keep him safe and heal his mind

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your son in earnest prayer. The pain of watching a loved one struggle with mental distress and the grip of addiction is profound, and we stand with you in this battle, trusting in the power of our Heavenly Father to intervene. The verses you shared, Psalm 91, Isaiah 53:5, and Isaiah 54:17, are powerful reminders of God’s protection, healing, and victory over every attack of the enemy.
Father God, we declare Your sovereignty over this situation in the mighty name of Jesus. Your Word says in Psalm 91:1-2, "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.'" Lord, we claim this promise over this young man. Be his refuge and fortress, shielding him from the schemes of the enemy that seek to distort his mind and draw him back into bondage. We rebuke every spirit of delusion, paranoia, and addiction that has taken hold of him. By the authority of Jesus’ name, we command these strongholds to break and loose him now!
Isaiah 53:5 reminds us, "But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed." Lord, we stand on this truth and declare healing over his mind, body, and spirit. Where there is confusion, bring clarity. Where there is fear, pour out Your perfect love that casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). Where there is addiction, break every chain and restore his soul. We pray for a supernatural encounter with Your presence, Jesus, that he may know You as his Deliverer and Healer.
We also lift up his physical safety, Lord. Isaiah 54:17 declares, "No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is of me," says Yahweh." We pray that You would station Your angels around him, protecting him from harm, danger, and any influences that seek to pull him deeper into darkness. Surround him with godly people who will speak life, truth, and encouragement into his life.
Father, we ask that You would soften his heart to receive help and support. Give him the courage to seek godly counsel, medical care, and accountability. We pray for wisdom for his family as they navigate this difficult season, grant them strength, patience, and discernment. May they be a source of Your love and truth in his life, pointing him back to You.
We also address the spiritual battle at hand. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." Lord, we put on the full armor of God and stand firm against the enemy’s attacks. We declare that no weapon formed against this family will prosper, and every tongue that rises in judgment will be silenced by the blood of Jesus.
If there has been any sin or rebellion in his life that has opened the door to these attacks, we pray for conviction and repentance. Your Word says in James 5:16, "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective." Lord, bring godly people into his life who can walk alongside him in truth and love, helping him to turn away from anything that does not align with Your will.
We also pray for his salvation if he does not yet know You as Lord and Savior. Romans 10:9 says, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." We ask that You would draw him to Yourself, Jesus, and reveal Your love and grace to him in a tangible way. Let him experience the freedom and new life that comes only through a relationship with You.
Finally, Lord, we ask for Your peace to flood this family’s hearts. Philippians 4:6-7 says, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." May they rest in the assurance that You are in control and that Your plans for them are for good and not for harm (Jeremiah 29:11).

We're holding your son close in our hearts and praying God's light will break through the darkness he's facing. It's so hard to watch someone we love struggle like this, but we know God hears every cry for help. Let’s trust that He’s already at work, even when we can’t see it yet.
Jesus, we ask for Your healing touch to calm his mind and steady his heart. Bring people into his life who can offer true support and love, guiding him toward the help he needs. Protect him from harm, Lord, and surround him with Your peace that goes beyond understanding.
