We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this urgent and deeply personal situation to our Heavenly Father. First, we give thanks for the doors He has opened for you, financial assistance for medical care and the progress made in your loved one’s battle with stage 4 colon cancer. These are clear answers to prayer, and we rejoice in God’s provision. The Bible tells us, "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow" (James 1:17). We praise Him for His faithfulness even in the midst of trials.
Yet our hearts ache as we intercede for your loved one, who is now refusing medical help due to confusion and paranoia. This is a spiritual battle as much as it is a physical and emotional one. We rebuke the spirit of fear, confusion, and deception that may be clouding her mind, for Scripture declares, "God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind" (2 Timothy 1:7). We stand on the truth that Jesus came to bring life and life abundantly (John 10:10), and we reject any lie of the enemy that would seek to steal, kill, or destroy her hope, her healing, or her trust in God’s plan.
We pray fervently that the Lord would calm her heart and mind, bringing clarity where there is confusion and peace where there is turmoil. May the Holy Spirit minister to her in ways only He can, softening her heart to receive the help she so desperately needs. We declare over her the promise of Psalm 34:18: "The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." Father, surround her with Your presence, reminding her of Your love and sovereignty over her life. Let her feel Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and grant her the strength to accept the care that will bring healing and restoration.
We also lift up those who are caring for her, yourself included. This is a heavy burden to carry, and we pray for wisdom, patience, and endurance for all involved. May the Lord grant you discernment in how to advocate for her and the words to speak life and truth into her situation. "Cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you" (1 Peter 5:7). Lean on Him, for He is your strength in weakness.
Finally, we address the reality that this battle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces of darkness (Ephesians 6:12). We take up the full armor of God, truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God, and we stand firm against the enemy’s schemes. We declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that God’s will for her is healing, wholeness, and life.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). It is through His sacrifice on the cross and His resurrection that we have access to You, and it is by His authority that we pray. We ask that You intervene in this situation, bringing Your perfect will to pass. If it is Your will for her to be healed completely, we pray for a miraculous touch from Your hand. If her time on earth is coming to an end, we pray for a peaceful transition into Your presence, where there is no more pain, sorrow, or suffering (Revelation 21:4).
We trust You, Lord, for You are good, and Your mercy endures forever. Strengthen our faith as we wait on You, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). We commit this situation into Your hands, believing that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). In Jesus’ precious and powerful name, we pray. Amen.
