Thank You in JESUS' NAME

We stand with you in this season of seeking the Lord through prayer and fasting, recognizing the power and authority we have in Christ Jesus. You have rightly called upon the promises of Scripture, and we join you in declaring that the gates of hell will not prevail against the Church. Indeed, our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of darkness, and we are equipped with the mighty armor of God to tear down strongholds and resist the enemy’s schemes.

Your cry for the nearness of God as your good is deeply felt, and we echo your prayer. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). You are not alone, even when it feels that way. The Holy Spirit intercedes for you with groanings too deep for words (Romans 8:26), and we stand with you in agreement, asking the Lord to draw near to you in this time of solitude. May He fill you with His peace, which surpasses all understanding, and guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

We pray for wisdom and revelation as you seek the Lord, that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened to know the hope of His calling and the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints (Ephesians 1:17-18). May you hear His voice clearly and obey with a willing heart, for His sheep know His voice, and He leads them out (John 10:3-4). We ask for grace to walk in love, to worship Him in spirit and in truth, and to stand firm in the faith, resisting the devil’s lies with the truth of God’s Word.

You have mentioned your matrimonial spouse and youngster, and we lift them before the Lord as well. Marriage is a sacred covenant, a reflection of Christ’s love for His Church, and we pray that your union would be strengthened and rooted in Him. May you both grow in grace, love, and unity, honoring God in your marriage and raising your child in the fear and admonition of the Lord (Ephesians 6:4). We pray for deliverance from temptation, sin, deception, and lies, not only for you but for your entire household. The Lord is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear but will provide a way of escape (1 Corinthians 10:13). May His Word go forth and accomplish all that He desires, and may you be kept from the evil one (John 17:15).

We rebuke every scheme of the enemy that seeks to divide, discourage, or deceive you or your family. The devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour, but we resist him, standing firm in the faith (1 Peter 5:8-9). We declare that the gates of hell will not prevail against you, your marriage, or your family. The Lord is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We pray for the Holy Spirit to remind you and your spouse of the truth of God’s Word, to convict of sin, and to lead you into all righteousness.

We also pray for the one you have mentioned, that her faith would not fail, and that after you have been strengthened, you would strengthen others (Luke 22:32). May the love of Christ dwell in you richly, and may you know the height, depth, width, and breadth of His love, which surpasses knowledge (Ephesians 3:16-19). We ask for direction, confirmation, and intimacy with the Lord, that you would abide in Him and bear much fruit (John 15:4-5).

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we may be saved (Acts 4:12). We thank You for the privilege of coming boldly before Your throne of grace to find mercy and help in time of need (Hebrews 4:16). Lord, we ask that You draw near to Your child in this season. Let Your presence be their comfort, their strength, and their good. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in wisdom, revelation, and obedience to Your voice.

We pray for their marriage, that it would be a testimony of Your love and faithfulness. Strengthen the bond between them, and let no root of bitterness or division take hold. Protect their youngster from the snares of the enemy, and surround them with Your angels to guard and keep them in all their ways (Psalm 91:11). Deliver them from temptation, sin, and deception, and let Your Word go forth to accomplish Your purposes in their lives.

Lord, we resist the devil and his schemes on their behalf. We declare that the gates of hell will not prevail against them, for You have given us authority to trample on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19). We pray for the Holy Spirit to remind them of Your truth, to convict them of righteousness, and to guide them into all truth (John 16:13). May they walk in love, unity, and faith, strengthening one another and those around them.

Father, we ask for Your nearness to be their good. Let them experience the fullness of Your love, the power of Your Spirit, and the joy of Your salvation. May they hear Your voice clearly and follow You wholeheartedly. We pray for direction, confirmation, and intimacy with You, that they may know You more deeply and walk in the good plans You have for them.

We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and for the victory we have in Christ Jesus. We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, they will condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus, our Savior, Redeemer, and Lord. Amen.

We noticed how much of your heart is wrapped up in just wanting God close, not platforms or breakthroughs, but simply "the nearness of God to be my good." That is the kind of honest, stripped-down plea God never turns away from, even when every outward comfort feels stripped away too. Loneliness can settle deep, and when it does, even truth we know can feel thin. So we're sitting with you in that longing, not trying to fix it with bright sayings but bringing it honestly before the Lord together.

One thing that sometimes helps in seasons like this is to name what "nearness" actually looks like for you in small, ordinary ways. Is it a moment of quiet before the day starts? A short line of Scripture carried like a held hand? A hymn you can hum? When everything feels large and spiritual, the simple becomes an anchor. You might also let one trusted person know you feel unseen right now, not for counsel, just so someone is aware. Isolation feeds on silence.

We also want to gently note that feeling alone for "various reasons" can sometimes mean depression has crept in under the radar, if that's a possibility, a wise pastor or a Christian counselor can help you sort what's spiritual and what might also need practical care, alongside prayer.

Father, thank You that You are intimately acquainted with all our ways, even when the way feels lonely and hidden. Draw near to this dear one now, quiet the inner noise long enough for them to sense You have not moved. Grant just enough light for the next small step, and send one person who can carry a piece of this load beside them. We ask in Jesus' name. Amen.

This is, perhaps, one of the main differences between the Believer and the unbeliever, between him that fears God and him that fears Him not. The first lesson for man is to know his God. You declare, "Very much alone right now," yet there is no solitude like that of the man of God alone with God, "I have declared my ways, and You heard me." He sees God in all the good or ill that checkers life. The whole world is full of God to him who believes in God and he has communion with God wherever he goes. You cry for nearness, and this is the hunger and this is the thirst of the Christian. To get near to God is the great passion of our spirit.

According to the text, we are both by prayer and supplication to make known our requests unto God. "In everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God, and the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." The presence of thanksgiving in the heart together with prayer is productive of peace. You have begged for grace to praise and worship; let this perfumed prayer ascend, and the peace of God, which passes all understanding, will garrison your heart. Some of us enjoy our greatest peace when the Lord is abroad and the thunders roll like drums in the march of the God of armies.

In all this trial and under all this temptation, let it be said of you, "In all this he sinned not, nor charged God foolishly." Petulance and complaining are sins which easily beset those who are severely tried. Men are apt to have bitter thoughts of God when He puts His hand into the bitter box and brings out the quinine of sorrow. A child of God may have the knife sharply cutting him, but if it only removes the superfluous wood, it may be of the utmost benefit to the fruitage of the tree. If you do not sin in your trouble, your endurance of trial will bring glory to God. He that made the athlete and trained him for the contest is honored thereby.

What shape does power with God take? Of course it takes the shape of prayer. There is great power with God when, in importunate prayer, we at last come to tearful entreaty. "He had power over the Angel, and prevailed; he wept, and made supplication unto Him." You ask the church to resist the devil with you, to wage war with the mighty armor of God. This is where spiritual life grows and makes advances. Rest in God, and come into close contact with the Divine Invisible, let your rock and refuge be His throne, and you will go from strength to strength by the power of God the Holy Spirit that shall dwell in you.

How charming is the fact that our Lord is "God with us," not here and there, and now and then, but forever. Especially does this come out with sweetness in His being "God with us" in our sorrows. You ask for nearness, for intimacy, for the Spirit to remind and reveal truth. He who was born at Bethlehem is God, and, "God with us." God, there lies the majesty. "God with us", there lies the mercy. God alone might well strike us with terror, but, "God with us," inspires us with hope and confidence. Drink it in and be filled with courage.

Recollect that prayer does not alter the mind of God: it never was the intent of prayer that it should attempt anything of the kind. Prayer is the shadow of the decrees of the Eternal. God has willed such a thing, and he makes his saints to will it, and express their will in prayer. You have asked for confirmation and for your faith not to fail. Simple as it is, there lies within it great excellence and value. Faith in God is the divinest exercise of the mind. To trust their God, to rely upon the atonement of his Son, this is the way which lies straight before them. If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.

I know it is so and, therefore, it is that God is glorified by the reverence and love of those whom He delivers in answer to prayer. Notice the persons mentioned, you do not see yourself, you only hear of yourself. It is "Call upon Me, and I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me." When we believingly call upon God in the day of trouble, there is no mistake in the matter, we are holding reverent converse with God. The righteous cry and the Lord hears. Pray, also, that He may abide with all my Brothers in the ministry, as we together look for the day when the serpent is bound and the church triumphs, for the gates of hell shall not prevail against her.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You ask for the nearness of God to be your good, and for grace to fast and pray. Do you see how these are bound together? For fasting implants great strictness, and of a man makes one an angel, and fights against the incorporeal powers. Yet not by itself; prayer too is needed, and prayer must come first. He that prays with fasting has his wings double, and is lighter than the very winds. He quenches wicked lusts, propitiates God, and humbles his soul. Therefore, though you feel alone, you are not weak. For nothing is mightier than a man who prays sincerely, who controls the belly and casts out luxury. Even if your body is too weak to fast continually, still it is not too weak for prayer, nor without vigor for contempt of the belly. Avoid luxurious living. This is no little thing; it is enough to pluck down the devil's madness, for nothing is so welcome to that evil spirit as luxury and drunkenness, the fountain of all our evils.

You ask to resist the serpent's lies and to stand against the devil's schemes. Then do not run to the contrary things. He would have you despair in solitude or seek comfort in the empty honors and riches of this world. But the glory of man is as the flower of the grass; what is meaner than that? Set yourself far from all filthiness and covetousness, as a stranger and sojourner here. When the soul abandons itself to carnal things, the clearness of its vision is dimmed. But do you see how He has not left you without help? God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. He has wiped out your trespasses, nailing them to His Cross, and He has made a show of the principalities and powers openly, triumphing over them. Do not go back to former unrighteousness; to serve the creature is to bring down the Creator, as far as in you lies.

You pray for your matrimonial spouse and youngster, and that neither your faith nor hers will fail, so that afterwards you may strengthen others. This is a great struggle, and that is why the Apostle called for prayers, that he might be delivered from unbelievers and his service accepted. But learn to despise the honor from men, for you have been honored with the greatest of honors, compared to which that other is ridicule. Give to him that needeth, but give not to a dancer. Pass not by the poor to feed your own ease or the world's applause. For when you see the poor, you see a house of mourning, which draws the soul to calm and preserves from shipwreck. The Saints' feet are holy, though they are poor men. Cling to them, to the quiet harbor where Christ dwells.

Keep near to the mystical suppers; do not approach without consideration, but do not abstain, for that is famine and death. Together with fasting and prayer, let your life be ordered to what is well-pleasing to God. He who has few wants cannot be covetous, and he who is not covetous will be more disposed for almsgiving. So you shall see the serpent choked by a great chain, and you shall walk in the love of Christ, strengthened with power according to the riches of His glory. For the crown is not for a single day, but for endless ages, where you will be made one with Him who is your nearness and your good.

The trial of your faith right now, that sense of being alone and the weight you are carrying, is more precious to God than gold that will eventually perish. He already knows the truth about your heart completely, so the proving of your faith is never for His information. It is for you. It is for the deepening of your roots. You say you believe God, and that pleases Him, but He allows the circumstance you cannot understand to stretch that belief until it becomes the substance that holds you when you have no feelings left to lean on. You asked for the nearness of God to be your good, and that good is often found most clearly when every other prop is removed and you are forced to see Him who is invisible. That is the secret of endurance, not understanding the pain, but fixing your eyes on the God who declared the end from the beginning.

When you ask for help to resist the serpent’s lies and the devil’s schemes, understand how temptation typically works against a sincere heart. The enemy does not usually begin with an obvious assault to destroy you. He whispers that you do not have to walk the long, narrow path God has set before you. He suggests that God is restricting you, holding you back from fulfillment. He offers an immediate escape from the waiting. But the grace of God that came down from the Father of lights is unchanging. He does not flicker like a shadow. His path, though it passes through the valley, leads to a weight of glory that a shortcut can never produce. Resist him firm in the faith by believing that God’s way, even the way of delayed answers and lonely hours, is the only way to life. Your shield against the lie is the truth that the Father’s intentions are only good, even when your eyes cannot see it.

Regarding the prayers for your household, for deliverance from deception and the evil one, do not look to your own strength or your own perfect consistency to secure the victory. We are not justified by the law in the sight of God; the just shall live by faith. God gives His Spirit and works His power in your life not because you have earned it by flawless performance, but because you have heard and believed in His grace. You asked to be strengthened to know the dimensions of Christ’s love. That happens not by striving to feel love, but by focusing on the cross. The Father set forth His Son as the propitiation to declare His righteousness, so that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus. When God accounts you righteous, He looks at the faith that clings to Christ, just as He did with Abraham. That faith pleases Him. It is the conduit through which the Holy Spirit pours the love of God into your heart.

You are asking for revelation, wisdom, and the ability to hear and obey His voice. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Build yourself up on your most holy faith by staying in the Scriptures. You do not need a special inoculation of "super faith" that arrives in a moment. You keep yourself in the love of God by trusting the promise even when the natural mind cannot trace it, just as Abraham believed God could raise Isaac from the dead to keep His word. The Holy Spirit reminds you of the truth, not by giving you all the answers about tomorrow, but by anchoring you to the finished work of Christ. The gates of hell cannot stand against the church because the church is built on the rock of that revelation: Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God. And nothing can snatch you from His hand.

The isolation you feel is not a sign that God has withdrawn His favor. It is very likely the place where He is choking the serpent’s voice so that you can hear the Shepherd’s voice alone. Do not lose heart. He who did not spare His own Son but freely gave Him up for you, how will He not also with Him graciously give you all things? Keep asking. Keep trusting. His grace is an unlimited fountain, and it is always available to those who come by faith.

We are so grateful you entrusted us with your heart as you sought the Lord through fasting, prayer, and the mighty promises of His Word. It was our honor to stand in the gap with you, pleading for the nearness of God to be your good, for wisdom and revelation to flood your spirit, and for the full armor of God to fortify you and your family against every scheme of the enemy. We lifted up your marriage and your child, asking the Father to deliver you all from temptation, deception, and every lie that seeks to steal, kill, or destroy. Together, we claimed the truth that the gates of hell will not prevail against the Church Jesus is building—and that includes the household of faith He has placed you in.

If the Lord has moved in answer to these prayers—if you’ve felt His nearness, received His direction, or seen His protection—we would be overjoyed to hear your praise report! Let us rejoice with you as we give Him all the glory. If, however, the battle still rages and you need fresh strength to press in, we invite you to post this request again. We will not grow weary in praying with you, for we know the Holy Spirit intercedes on our behalf with groanings too deep for words, and the Father hears every cry of our hearts.

May the love of Christ continue to dwell within you richly, filling you with all wisdom, power, and intimacy with God. May you walk in His direction, obey His voice, and experience the fullness of His promises as you abide in Him. We stand with you, believing that the same Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead is at work in your life, tearing down strongholds and establishing His kingdom in and through you.

Keep seeking Him with all your heart. He is faithful, and His mercies are new every morning. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
