Beloved of All
I had problems with pornography, masturbation, flirting (with the opposite sex) and sexual sins... Now there is a great improvement! Let us give all the glory and thanks for this to the Lord Jesus Christ! But there is still a great need for more improvement (lasting and true) for the glory of God! Let us pray for this...Please pray that God will help me and guide me to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever from my life and heart, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Let us pray that God will also work, renew my mind, make me very wise, so that these sins will forever be far from me, in the Name of Jesus Christ! Let us pray that God will show me mercy, speak to me, give me understanding and deliverance. I really prayed and cried a lot...😭

We rejoice with you in the progress the Lord has already brought into your life, breaking the chains of pornography, masturbation, and other sexual sins. It is clear that the Holy Spirit is at work in you, drawing you closer to holiness and purity. We give all glory to Jesus Christ, for it is by His blood and His power alone that true transformation is possible. Your cry for deliverance has been heard, and we stand with you in prayer, believing that God will complete the good work He has begun in you.

The Scriptures remind us, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it." (1 Corinthians 10:13). The Lord does not leave us to fight sin alone, He provides a way out, but we must walk in it. We must also remember that lasting victory comes not by our own strength, but by abiding in Christ. Jesus said, "I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me, and I in him, the same bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing." (John 15:5). True and lasting improvement will come as you remain rooted in Him, saturating your mind with His Word and surrendering every area of your life to His lordship.

We must also address the reality of these sins with biblical clarity. Pornography, masturbation, and flirting with the opposite sex outside the bounds of godly marriage are not merely "struggles", they are forms of sexual immorality. The Bible is clear: "Flee sexual immorality! ā€˜Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body." (1 Corinthians 6:18). These sins defile the temple of the Holy Spirit, which you are (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), and they grieve the heart of God. Flirting, even if it seems harmless, can lead to emotional and physical unfaithfulness, which the Lord detests. Proverbs 6:27-28 warns, "Can a man scoop fire into his lap without his clothes being burned? Can a man walk on hot coals without his feet being scorched?" These sins are dangerous, and we must treat them as such.

We must also rebuke the enemy’s lies that tell you these sins are "just a part of life" or that you can never be fully free. That is not the truth of God’s Word. Jesus came to set the captives free (Luke 4:18), and if the Son sets you free, you are free indeed (John 8:36). The battle is real, but the victory is already won through Christ. We must also guard against complacency, just because there has been improvement does not mean the battle is over. The apostle Paul warns, "Therefore let him who thinks he stands be careful that he doesn’t fall." (1 Corinthians 10:12). We must remain vigilant, putting on the full armor of God daily (Ephesians 6:10-18) and fleeing from every appearance of evil (1 Thessalonians 5:22).

Let us also address the importance of accountability. You cannot walk this path alone. Proverbs 27:17 says, "Iron sharpens iron; so a man sharpens his friend’s countenance." Seek out godly, mature believers, preferably of the same sex, who can pray with you, encourage you, and hold you accountable. Confess your struggles to them (James 5:16), and allow them to speak truth into your life. If you are not already part of a local church, we strongly encourage you to find one that preaches the full counsel of God’s Word and get plugged in. The body of Christ is designed to support and strengthen one another in the faith.

We must also renew our minds, as you have asked. Romans 12:2 says, "Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God." The world bombards us with sexual images and messages that distort God’s design for intimacy. We must actively replace those lies with truth. Fill your mind with Scripture, worship, and godly content. Memorize verses that speak to God’s design for purity, such as "How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to your word." (Psalm 119:9). Meditate on passages like Philippians 4:8, which instructs us to think on whatever is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and admirable.

We must also address the root of these sins. Often, sexual immorality is not just about physical temptation, it is about a deeper heart issue. Are you seeking fulfillment, comfort, or escape in these sins? Are you struggling with loneliness, stress, or unmet emotional needs? The Lord wants to heal those areas of your heart. Psalm 34:18 says, "The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." Bring those needs to Him, and allow Him to fill the voids in your life with His love, peace, and purpose.

Let us also pray for wisdom in your relationships. If you are not yet married, we encourage you to pursue godly courtship with the intention of marriage, as the Bible instructs. Avoid putting yourself in situations where temptation can easily arise. 2 Timothy 2:22 says, "Flee the evil desires of youth and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart." If you are already in a relationship, ensure that it honors God and that you are both committed to purity until marriage. If you are married, we pray for your marriage to be a reflection of Christ’s love for the Church, free from any form of unfaithfulness or lust.

Now, let us come before the throne of grace together in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the work You have already done in this dear one’s life. We thank You for the progress made and for the hunger for holiness that You have placed within them. Lord, we ask that You would complete the work You have begun. Strengthen them in their inner being, that they may stand firm against the schemes of the enemy. We rebuke every lie of the devil that says these sins are too powerful to overcome, and we declare that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).

Father, we ask that You would renew their mind daily with Your truth. Help them to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5). Surround them with godly accountability and fellowship, so they do not walk this path alone. Give them wisdom to flee from temptation and the courage to stand firm in purity. Heal any brokenness in their heart that may be driving them toward these sins, and fill them with Your perfect love, which casts out all fear (1 John 4:18).

Lord, we pray for Your deliverance to be complete. Break every chain of addiction, lust, and immorality in their life. Set them free, not just from the outward actions, but from the inward desires that lead to sin. Create in them a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within them (Psalm 51:10). Help them to walk in the light, as You are in the light, so that they may have fellowship with one another and the blood of Jesus, Your Son, may cleanse them from all sin (1 John 1:7).

We also pray for their future or current marriage, if it is Your will. Prepare them to be a godly spouse, one who loves and honors their husband or wife as Christ loves the Church. Guard their heart against any form of unfaithfulness, and help them to build their marriage on the foundation of Your Word.

Father, we ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we can be saved or set free. We thank You that through Him, we have access to Your throne of grace, and we receive mercy and find grace to help in our time of need (Hebrews 4:16). We declare that this one is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37), and we believe that You will bring complete victory in this area of their life.

We trust You, Lord, and we give You all the glory, honor, and praise. In Jesus’ precious name, we pray. Amen.

We rejoice with you in the great improvement you've seen, it's genuine and worth celebrating, and we join you in giving glory to Jesus for every bit of ground gained. The fact that you're still crying out for more shows a heart that isn't settling for relief alone but truly longs for lasting freedom that honors God. That kind of humble persistence is a mark of real transformation already underway.

The desire to be done with this struggle completely is understandable, and your willingness to do "whatever it takes" is significant. One concrete way many have found that kind of lasting breakthrough is by stepping into accountability that goes beyond private prayer. Seeking out a trusted, mature brother in Christ at your church, or a confidential men's group (if that fits your context) where these very struggles are talked about openly and without shock, creates a space where secrecy loses its power. Some men also find help working through the deeper emotional patterns with a Christian counselor or a pastor trained in addiction recovery, someone who can help you understand not just the sin, but the emotional roots and the unmanageability cycle that keeps looping even when you hate what you're doing. That isn't weakness; it's wisdom.

We're grateful that you've experienced real change and that you won't let up until the work is complete. We're praying with you, right now, for that full and enduring breakthrough.

Lord Jesus, thank You for the real progress our brother has seen by Your Spirit's power. Continue renewing his mind and strengthening his will to choose purity moment by moment. Bring the right people alongside him who will walk this road with honesty and courage. Grant him clarity about whatever next step You're calling him to, and disarm the shame that tries to isolate him. Complete this deliverance for Your glory, we ask in Your mighty name. Amen.

It is a token of divine mercy that you have seen such improvement, and you do well to give all glory to the Lord Jesus Christ who has begun to break the chains. Yet your weeping and crying show that the flesh still wars against the Spirit, and you long for a full and lasting deliverance. Do not despair; this holy grief is itself a gift, for the heart of stone is being taken away and a heart of flesh is forming within you. That tender conscience which smites you so painfully is not your enemy but a friend, an arrow of conviction shot by the hand of a loving God to drive you nearer to the cross.

I have found it so in my own walk: whenever we slip, though the wound of sin burns and the fiery darts of the evil one would inflame our blood with shame, the same hand that wounds is ready to heal. Our natural strength will always fail; deliverance from the reigning power of sin is as much the work of sovereign grace as the forgiveness of its guilt. You cry for renewed mind, for wisdom, for mercy, these are precisely the things the Holy Spirit delights to give. He alone can make the Word a two-edged sword to pierce the heart and sever the love of secret lust. Look not to any regimen of self-mortification apart from Christ, but run to Him who is meek and lowly in heart. In His wounded side there is a fountain open for uncleanness, and in His compassionate intercession there is power to keep you from falling. Plead the covenant promise: ā€œI will take away the heart of stone, and give you a heart of flesh.ā€ That promise is yea and amen in Him.

Let us be on our guard, for sin is subtle and the world’s darkness would blindfold you to its horror. Do not tamper with it, do not dally at the serpent’s door, but flee to the shadow of the cross. As one who has been snatched from the pit, you know that salvation is all of grace from first to last. Therefore wait on the Lord; they that wait upon Him shall renew their strength. We will join our supplications with yours, asking that the blessed Spirit would work so deeply that these sins become utterly detestable, that your mind be so saturated with Christ that no room remains for vain imagination, and that you find your delight in the purity which is His own nature implanted in you. He who has begun this good work will perfect it until the day of Jesus Christ. To Him be glory forever.
