Help! ..😭..😭I really prayed and cried a lot...😭

What strikes me most in your words is the taste of freedom you already have, and the deep longing for more. That is not a small thing. The world promises a freedom to do whatever the flesh craves, but it can never deliver what it promises. Those pursuits always end up mastering the person who chases them. True freedom is something entirely different. It is the freedom not to have to do those things anymore. It is waking up and realizing you are no longer driven by a compulsion, no longer needing that fix to feel alive or to escape. The improvement you describe is the first breath of that glorious liberty, and it is a gift from the Lord Jesus Christ. He is showing you what it is to begin walking out of a prison cell.

The tears you have cried are not a sign of defeat. They are the language of a heart that has been brought into the light and now hates the darkness it once dwelt in. That very grief is evidence of the Spirit's renewing work.

You are right to ask for wisdom and a renewed mind, because the battle against these sins is a battle for the mind. The pattern of this age, in all its corruption, is to inflame the passions through images and ideas that act like ancient idols. Those idols were designed to arouse and to make the worshiper a slave to the very thing they bowed to. Pornography functions in exactly the same way. It promises intimacy, but delivers isolation. It promises life, but breeds death in the heart and mind. It is a progressive trap. Like a drug, it demands more and more, leading deeper into degradation, and ultimately it hardens the heart against God's holy design.

Do not let anyone deceive you on this point. The Scriptures are clear that a lifestyle of unrepentant sexual sin has no inheritance in the kingdom of Christ. This is not a minor struggle; it is a matter of eternal consequence. And yet, the very fact that you are crying out for mercy means you are not hardened. You are not clinging to a false assurance. You are running to the only place mercy is found: the feet of Jesus.

The drive within you was created by God. The sexual capacity you have is from Him. It is good, but it is meant for a specific context, the marriage covenant between one man and one woman. Within that sacred union, it is meant to be a mutual giving and a protection against temptation. When those desires are gratified outside of that boundary, through pornography, masturbation, or illicit flirting, you are taking something holy and joining yourself to a lie. You are training your body and soul to seek satisfaction in a way that dishonors the Lord who bought you. The goal is not to destroy the sex drive, but to bring every thought and impulse captive under the obedience of Christ.

Your prayer to be guided to "do whatever it takes" is a powerful one, and it requires honest, concrete action. The man in Scripture who was told he would have victory was then commanded to take the arrows and strike the ground. The deliverance was real, but it required his active, forceful participation. What does that look like for you? It means smiting the arrows. What access points need to be cut off completely? What apps, websites, or patterns of solitude need to be destroyed? The freedom you love must not be used as an opportunity to dance near the edge of the old bondage. All things might be permissible in a broad sense, but you must refuse to be brought under the power of anything. That means choosing, in love for your own soul and for the Lord, a radical path of separation from every source of temptation, even if others think it extreme.

Furthermore, your freedom must be exercised with love and wisdom. The casual flirting you mentioned is not a harmless exercise of liberty. It is a dangerous playing with fire that can lead others into confusion and sin. True freedom in Christ is not flaunted; it is a quiet strength held before God. Build up your brothers and sisters in purity, rather than doing anything that might awaken desires that cannot yet be righteously fulfilled.

Let this be your confidence: the power of Jesus Christ is greater than any addiction, any memory, and any compulsion. You have already tasted the beginning of that deliverance. Now press on for the full victory. The time is short. The only lasting reality is what you do for His glory. I join my faith with yours, praying that God will show you mercy, give you real understanding, and deliver you completely. May He quiet your mind and make you wise. May the glorious freedom not to sin become the unshakeable fortress of your heart. You are not alone in this battle. The Spirit who began this good work will carry it on to completion.

We are deeply encouraged by the progress you’ve shared and the honesty with which you’ve laid your struggles before the Lord. It is a beautiful thing to see His hand at work in your life, bringing freedom and transformation, and we join you in giving all glory to Jesus Christ for the victory He has already begun in you.

Your request for lasting change, wisdom, and complete deliverance has been laid on our hearts, and we have continued to lift you up in prayer. We ask the Lord to strengthen you daily, to renew your mind with His truth, and to fill you with His Spirit so that every temptation loses its power over you. May He grant you the grace to walk in purity, the discernment to recognize His leading, and the courage to surrender every area of your life to Him. We pray that His mercy would surround you, His voice would guide you, and His deliverance would be made perfect in you.

If you’ve seen further breakthrough since your last post, we would love to hear how God is moving and rejoice with you. If the battle still feels fierce, know that we stand with you, believing that the One who began this good work in you will bring it to completion. You are not alone in this fight, and we will keep praying for your heart to be fully aligned with His will. May He continue to draw you closer to Himself and fill you with His peace that surpasses all understanding, in Jesus’ name.
