Heaven prayer

Kliurath

Disciple of Prayer
Father I accept what your son Jesus has done on the cross. I ask you to forgive me of my sins. Thank you for writing my name in the book of life I receive it. Thank you for making me a member of heaven in Jesus name amen

We rejoice with you in this most important decision you have made and we thank our heavenly Father with you for the gift of salvation through His Son Jesus. To accept what Jesus has done on the cross, to confess your sin and receive forgiveness, and to trust that your name is now written in the book of life is to enter into eternal life itself.

The Scripture assures us of what you have just received, that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved Rom 10:9. For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast Eph 2:8-9. We are also told, He who believes in the Son has eternal life John 3:36, and These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life 1 John 5:13. Your name being written in the book of life is cause for great joy, for Jesus Himself said Rejoice that your names are written in heaven Luke 10:20, and we know that nothing unclean shall enter heaven, but only those who are written in the Lamb's book of life Rev 21:27.

We pray together with you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son and we thank You for the cross and for the blood that was shed for the forgiveness of sins. We thank You for this dear one who has confessed and believed and received Your grace. We ask You to confirm in their heart the assurance of forgiveness and the joy of salvation. Write Your laws upon their heart, fill them with Your Holy Spirit, and help them to walk as a new creation, for if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new 2 Cor 5:17. Establish them in Your Word, lead them to a fellowship of believers where Christ is preached, guide them to baptism as an outward testimony of inward faith, and make them fruitful as a citizen of heaven while they still walk upon this earth, for our citizenship is in heaven Phil 3:20. Keep them by Your power until the day You call them home, in Jesus name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue daily in this new life. Speak with the Father in prayer each day in Jesus name, for Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6, and there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. Read the Scriptures daily that you may grow in faith and know His will, turn from sin and pursue holiness, and gather with other believers who will encourage you in truth. If you have not yet been baptized, we encourage you to take that step of obedience as the Lord leads. We praise God that you are now a member of His heavenly family and we pray that you will grow strong in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ 2 Pet 3:18.

We were so encouraged to read your prayer. To come to the Father through what Jesus has done on the cross, to receive His forgiveness and to trust Him with your future, is the most important decision anyone can make and we are thanking God with you for it.

Salvation is His gift to receive, not to earn. In His mercy He forgives, makes us whole, and sets us apart as His own. That settles our standing before Him today and it also begins a lifelong walk of growing to know Him and become more like Him. You do not have to have everything figured out right now. You are forgiven, you belong to Him, and He will faithfully continue the work He has begun in you as you walk with Him day by day.

A helpful next step is to not walk alone. If you do not already have a church home, look for a Bible believing church where you can hear the Word taught, be baptized, and be surrounded by other believers who can encourage you. Simply telling a trusted pastor or mature Christian that you have put your faith in Christ and asking them to walk alongside you can make that growth much steadier. Many find it meaningful to begin reading through the Gospel of John a little at a time to get to know Jesus more.

Father, thank You for Your grace and for the work of Jesus on the cross. Thank You for forgiving sin and for giving new life to all who trust in Him. We thank You for the one who has prayed today. Give assurance, draw them close, lead them into faithful fellowship, and help them grow in knowing You each day. In Jesus' name, amen.

There is forgiveness with Him, and your prayer lays hold upon that blessed truth. You have done well to come not with any merit of your own, but to accept what His Son Jesus has done upon the cross, for there is no other way under Heaven by which you can be saved. The Scripture says, Whoever believes on Him shall not be ashamed, and that believing is not merely to repeat words, but to trust in a Person, to depend upon Him without fear as to your present and eternal salvation.

Be assured then, that if you have come with a penitent heart desiring forgiveness, there is forgiveness for your sins, whatever they may have been. It is a divine forgiveness, for He says, I, even I, am He that blotteth out thy transgressions. It is not the pardon of a fellow creature that you need to enter Heaven, but the acquittal of God Himself, and if God acquits you for Christ's sake, that is enough. This forgiveness which God has given you for Christ's sake is not a temporary reprieve, but an eternal forgiveness, perfect and divine, purchased by the blood of the Lamb who is the glory of the eternal city. In Heaven they glory in the Cross, and each one sings, He loved me and gave Himself for me, and you have begun that song on earth.

And what you have asked concerning Heaven is also graciously granted, for Heaven must be in us before we can be in Heaven. Heaven is not merely a place to which we go when we die, it is God fully enjoyed, it is Christ Himself. The chief blessing of Heaven, the cream of Heaven, the Heaven of Heaven, is that the saints shall there see Jesus. If you have Christ within you now, you have much of Heaven here, for you have the Presence of Him that sits upon the throne, and a justification quite as complete as that of the glorified. While you are yet in the wilderness you may spy out the land and eat of the clusters of Eshcol, for if we cannot go to Heaven at once, Heaven can come to us.

Therefore rejoice that your name is written in the book of life, not because you have earned it, but because you have believed on Him whom God has laid in Zion for a foundation. Now rise to your true dignity. You who are of the blood royal of Heaven, princes in God's Kingdom, will you behave yourselves like paupers. You who have been redeemed with blood, whose every fetter has been struck off, live as those who have been made members of Heaven. Continue to drink of the living water, to keep the renewal of first love and first delight in God, and to walk in humble fellowship with the Lamb that is in the midst of the throne, who feeds and leads His people both here and in glory.

Abide in Him, confess Him openly, feed daily upon His Word, and seek the fellowship of His people, that the grace which has begun a good work in you may be carried on until the day when you shall see His face and know that you are fully and forever His.
