Heart pain/problems

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your request for healing from heart pain and problems. The pain you carry is real, and we stand with you in faith, believing that our God is the Great Physician who binds up the brokenhearted and heals all our diseases (Psalm 147:3, Psalm 103:2-3).
First, we must address the areas where the enemy may be seeking to exploit vulnerability. If this heart pain stems from a relationship that does not align with God’s design—whether through fornication, adultery, or an unbiblical union—we must rebuke that influence in Jesus’ name. The Lord calls us to purity and holiness, and any relationship outside of His will brings only temporary comfort that leads to deeper pain. If this is the case, we encourage you to surrender that relationship to God, trusting Him to either redeem it according to His Word or lead you out of it for your protection. "Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s" (1 Corinthians 6:18-20).
If your heart pain is from a broken marriage or the betrayal of a spouse, we stand with you in intercession, declaring restoration where possible and God’s perfect peace where healing must come another way. The Lord hates divorce (Malachi 2:16), but He also hates abuse, unrepentant sin, and hardness of heart. If you are in a marriage that is unsafe or marked by unrepentant sin, we pray for wisdom and godly counsel to guide you. "The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit" (Psalm 34:18).
If this pain is from loneliness or longing for a godly spouse, we pray that the Lord would comfort you and prepare your heart for the one He has for you. Do not settle for less than God’s best—wait for a man or woman who loves the Lord with all their heart and will lead you in righteousness. "Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart" (Psalm 37:4). But remember, your worth is not found in a relationship; it is found in Christ alone.
We also rebuke any spirit of despair, anxiety, or bitterness that may be compounding your pain. The enemy wants you to believe that this pain is permanent, but God’s Word declares that He works all things together for good for those who love Him (Romans 8:28). We command every lying spirit to flee in Jesus’ name and declare that your heart will be made whole by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12). Lord, we lift up this dear one who is carrying heart pain. You see every tear, You know every ache, and You are near to the brokenhearted. We ask for Your healing touch to mend what is broken, Your peace to guard their heart and mind, and Your wisdom to guide their steps.
Lord, if there is any sin or ungodly influence contributing to this pain, we ask that You reveal it and lead them to repentance. Give them the strength to walk away from anything that does not align with Your Word. If they are in a season of waiting for a godly spouse, we pray that You would prepare them and their future partner, aligning their hearts with Yours. If their pain is from betrayal or loss, we ask that You bring restoration where possible and Your perfect peace where healing must come another way.
We rebuke every spirit of despair, bitterness, and fear in Jesus’ name. We declare that this pain will not define them, but that Your love and grace will be their strength. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, Lord, and let Your joy be their strength (Nehemiah 8:10). We trust You to turn their mourning into dancing and their sorrow into joy (Psalm 30:11).
Thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness. We believe that You are working even now to bring beauty from ashes and joy from sorrow. In Jesus’ precious and powerful name, we pray. Amen.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart.
