Your prayer for health and for a healthier friendship is deeply valued, and it reflects a heart that wants to honor God and care well for another person.
It is good to bring both physical well being and the healing of a relationship before the Lord. The Scriptures show that Jesus healed in many different ways. Sometimes it was immediate, sometimes it was gradual, sometimes with a touch and sometimes only with a word, and sometimes without any pattern we can predict. There is even one account where healing came in stages. All healing, whether it comes suddenly or slowly through the natural processes God Himself designed in our bodies, is still from Him. There is also healing that God does in the mind and emotions, bringing peace to wounds and scars that are not physical. At the same time we do not always understand why some are healed in the way we ask and others are not. Even the apostle Paul prayed repeatedly for his own affliction and learned that God had a different purpose in allowing it to remain. Matthew connects the promise of Isaiah, that He bore our infirmities, to the healing work of Jesus, which reminds us that Christ cares about both our spiritual and physical needs, and we can trust His wisdom and compassion as we pray.
Your desire to grow in kindness, patience, and understanding while respecting boundaries and giving space is itself an answer to prayer taking shape. The Bible calls God the God of patience and the God of comfort, and it says the Scriptures give us patience and comfort so that we may have hope. God is patient in working out His purposes, as He was with Abraham who waited many years for the promised son, and as a farmer waits with long patience for the early and latter rains before the harvest. James points to Job as an example of endurance through affliction, and Hebrews tells us we have need of patience so that after we have done the will of God we may receive what He has promised. Those who through faith and patience inherit the promises show us not to grow weary in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not give up.
Patience in a friendship often looks like what you described, giving space, not pressing, and allowing God to work in both hearts in His timing. Kindness in Scripture is more than politeness. It is covenant kindness, the kind David showed to the house of Jonathan because of love, seeking to restore and to do good without demanding anything in return. That is the kindness God shows to us, and the kindness we are called to show to one another.
I will pray with you that God would watch over your friend, granting her health, peace, strength, and the support she needs, and that He would bring healing where there has been hurt. I will pray that He would make both of you more like Christ in kindness and patience, that your friendship would become more peaceful and healthy, and that you would have wisdom to respect boundaries with grace. May the Lord give you comfort from His Word, establish your heart in hope, and help you to respond to every situation with love.

We ask for Your healing touch in body, mind, and spirit, for Your peace that passes understanding, and for strength for each day. Teach both friends to walk in kindness and patience as You are patient with us, and to honor one another with understanding and respect.
