We join with you in lifting up your precious mother and father before our Heavenly Father, for we know how heavy it is to watch those we love suffer in their bodies and we are honored you have shared this burden with us.
We are reminded that our God is compassionate and merciful toward our infirmities and that He cares deeply for our health. We hold fast to His promise that He forgives all our sins and heals all our diseases Psalm 103:2-3, and that He says I am Yahweh who heals you Exodus 15:26. We also cling to the truth that by his wounds we are healed Isaiah 53:5, and that He has promised But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God Philippians 4:6-7.
Together we pray for your mother, that the Lord would touch her body and bring healing to her lungs. We ask Him to drive out every fungal infection, to clear her breathing, to strengthen her immune system, and to bring her blood sugar into healthy balance. We pray for wisdom for her doctors, for effectiveness in every treatment, and for grace for her to steward her body with proper care, rest, and nourishment as she trusts Him. We ask for peace to guard her heart and yours as you wait upon the Lord.
We also lift up your father and we bring before the Lord each affliction you have named. We pray for his eyesight to be restored and protected, for his headaches to cease, for his urinary tract to be healed and function as God designed, for the swelling in his feet to go down, and for his blood pressure to be regulated and made normal. We ask God to grant him overall good health, renewed strength, and vitality for each day. We pray as James teaches, that the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up James 5:14-15.
We encourage you to continue to seek diligent medical care for both of them while trusting the Lord as the ultimate healer, to help them follow their physicians guidance, to encourage healthy diet, hydration, and rest, and to surround them with love, prayer, and the reading of Scripture. Keep bringing every worry to God with thanksgiving, trusting that His peace which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7.
We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to lovingly share why His name is so essential. It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and that our prayers are heard. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. To be saved and to come boldly before God, we must believe in our hearts and confess with our mouths that Jesus is Lord, that He died for our sins and rose again Romans 10:9. It is in His name alone that we pray with confidence for healing and eternal life, and we encourage you to put your full trust in Him for your parents and for yourself.
So now we pray together, Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We ask You to lay Your healing hand upon this dear mother, to cleanse her lungs, to heal the infection, to stabilize her diabetes, and to restore her health. We ask You to touch this dear father, to improve his eyesight, to take away his headaches, to heal his urinary tract, to remove the swelling from his feet, to normalize his blood pressure, and to grant him strength and wholeness. We ask for Your comfort and peace to fill their home, for wisdom for their medical team, and for faith to trust You in all things. We thank You that You hear us when we pray in Jesus name, and we trust Your perfect will and mercy. Amen.
