Thank you for sharing your heart so openly and for entrusting these burdens to prayer. We join you in bringing your whole family before the Lord, who formed each of us and knows every cell in our bodies, and who is our healer and our peace.
We pray together for your brother. We ask the Lord to have mercy on his body, to bring clarity for his doctors concerning the swelling and fluid retention, the long standing cough, the thyroid enlargement and the nodules in his lungs. We pray for wisdom for those caring for him, for effective treatment, and for the Lord's healing touch according to His will. We also pray for his heart and for reconciliation in the family, that any bitterness or past hurt would be softened by God's grace, and that He would open a way for conversation and forgiveness where there has been silence.
We lift up your sister who suffers with myoma and other health issues, and who is estranged from your brother, your sister in law and other relatives. We ask God to comfort her, to guide her medical care, to relieve her pain and to grant healing. We pray also that the Lord would work in all of your hearts to release past offenses, to seek peace and to walk in forgiveness as Christ has forgiven us.
We remember your second sister who suffers frequent headaches. We ask the Father to reveal the cause, to give wisdom to her doctors, and to grant her relief and strength. We pray for your aunt who is almost ###, who now speaks little and shows signs of memory loss. We ask the Lord to surround her with gentle care, to grant her peace and dignity in these years, and to comfort those who love her.
For you, as you wait for approval and scheduling for the colonoscopy and endoscopy, we pray for peace to guard you from fear. We ask God to grant skill and clarity to your gastroenterologist, that the procedures would be safe and helpful, and that whatever is found, including any concern about polyps, would be treatable. We pray that you will be able to cast your anxiety on Him, knowing He cares for you, and that you will continue to seek Him in Scripture and prayer while you wait.
Heavenly Father, we submit all of these loved ones and every health concern to You at the foot of the cross. You know our frame and You see what is hidden. We ask for healing where it is Your will, for comfort in suffering, for reconciliation where there is division, and for faith to trust Your goodness in every outcome. Help this family to dwell in Your Word, to encourage one another, and to rest in the hope we have through Jesus Christ alone. We pray in the name of Jesus our Lord and Savior. Amen.
