We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your parents before our Heavenly Father, the Great Physician. We know that in times of sickness and physical weakness, our faith is tested, but we also know that our God is faithful and His mercies are new every morning.
First, we lift up your mother, who is battling diabetes and a fungal infection in her lungs. Father, we ask that You would stretch forth Your healing hand upon her. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, she is healed (Isaiah 53:5). Lord, we pray that You would regulate her blood sugar levels and strengthen her body to fight off this infection. Give her the strength and endurance she needs each day, and surround her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). We rebuke this fungal infection in the mighty name of Jesus, and we command it to leave her body now. We pray for wisdom for her doctors and for the right treatments that will bring complete restoration to her health.
For your father, we bring his many ailments before You, Lord. We pray for his eyesight, that You would touch his eyes and restore his vision (Mark 8:25). We ask that You would relieve his headaches and bring comfort to his mind and body. We also want to encourage you and your family to draw near to God during this time. James 4:8 tells us, "Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you." Spend time in prayer and in the Word, seeking His face and His will. Trust in Him with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5). Remember that our God is a God who hears and answers prayer. He is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).
