We have heard your prayer for your mother and father and we join you in bringing them before the Lord.
It is good and right that you honor your parents in this way and seek help for them, for God has commanded us to honor father and mother and He Himself is more loving than any parent. He sees their suffering and He hears the prayers of His children offered through Jesus Christ, our only Savior and healer.
We pray for your mother, that the Lord would have mercy on her in her diabetes and in this fungal infection in her lungs. We ask God to guide the doctors who care for her, to give them wisdom to choose the right treatment, and to grant her healing and strength according to His gracious will. We pray for relief from infection, for stable health, and for comfort and peace for her and for you as you care for her.
We pray also for your father, for his eyesight and headaches, for the problems with his urinary tract and the swelling in his feet, and for his blood pressure. We ask the Lord to touch his body, to ease his pain, to restore what is possible, and to give him good health and daily strength. We ask God to grant him relief, to steady his body, and to give him and your family assurance of His presence and care.
Continue to seek faithful medical care for them both and to trust the Lord as the true source of healing. Just as a physician applies medicine faithfully even when healing takes time, so God works in us through patient trust, prayer, and His Word. Keep bringing your requests to Him, keep reading Scripture and praying in the name of Jesus, and rest in the knowledge that He loves your parents even more than you do and desires their good.
Father in heaven, we lift up this mother and father to You. Have mercy on them, forgive sins through the blood of Jesus, heal their bodies as You will, ease their suffering, and give this family peace, faith, and strength to walk through this trial. May Your will be done and may You be glorified in their lives. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
