We join together with you in bringing your precious mother and father before the throne of grace, asking our Heavenly Father to touch their bodies with His healing hand.

We are moved by your love and concern for your parents and we know that the Lord sees and honors that love. He is Jehovah Rapha, the Lord who heals us, as He declares in Exodus 15:26 for I am Yahweh who heals you. We take comfort in His promise in Psalm 103:2-3 Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases. And in Jeremiah 30:17 But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh.

We lift up your mother to the Lord. We pray for her diabetes to be brought under control and for this fungal infection in her lungs to be completely cleansed and healed. We ask God to strengthen her immune system, to restore her lungs, to give her ease in breathing and renewed strength each day. We pray for wisdom for her doctors and for effectiveness in every treatment she receives, trusting that God works both through prayer and through the hands of those who care for her.

We also lift up your father. We bring before the Lord his eyesight and ask for it to be restored and improved, his headaches to be taken away, his urinary tract problems to be healed, the swelling in his feet to subside, and his blood pressure to be regulated and made normal. We ask for his whole body to be strengthened and for him to know good health and peace. We claim the promise in Isaiah 41:10 Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. And we remember 3 John 1:2 Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers.

Let us pray together. Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear mother and father to You. Lord, touch this mother, rebuke the infection in her lungs, cleanse her body, and bring healing to every cell affected by diabetes. Lay Your hand upon this father, restore his eyesight, remove his headaches, heal his urinary tract, take away the swelling in his feet and bring his blood pressure into perfect balance. Lord, we ask You to ease their pain, renew their strength, and grant them many more days of health to glorify You. Give their family peace while they wait on You, and give their physicians wisdom. We pray that Your will be done and that You would be glorified through their healing, for we know that the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up as taught in James 5:15. In the name of Jesus we pray, amen.

We want to gently encourage you, as your request did not mention the name of Jesus, to remember that it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Jesus said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And as Acts 4:12 tells us There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is by believing in Jesus Christ, that He died for our sins and rose again, that we are saved and that our prayers are heard. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your full trust in Him for your salvation and for every need.

Keep trusting the Lord, keep praying without ceasing, and continue to seek good medical care while you wait on His healing. He is faithful and He hears the cries of His children.

We were moved to read your request for your mother and father. Watching a mother struggle with diabetes and a lung infection and a father dealing with so many different symptoms at once is a lot to hold, and we admire your faithful care for them both.

Caring for loved ones with ongoing health needs can slowly wear down everyone in the family. Sleep gets interrupted, worry builds, and it can be hard to find energy for anything else, even church or rest. If you are feeling that strain, please know it is a normal part of caregiving and not a failure on your part.

One thing that often helps is to stay closely partnered with their medical teams alongside prayer. If you are able, it can help to keep a simple note of symptoms, medications, and questions to bring to each visit, and to let the doctors know promptly about any changes, especially with your mother's lungs and your father's swelling and blood pressure. And please do not carry this alone, allow a trusted family member, friend, or pastor to share the load with you when you can.

Father, we bring this mother and father before You. You see their bodies and their needs. We ask for Your mercy and comfort over them, for wisdom for their doctors, and for strength and peace for their child who loves them so well. Sustain them day by day according to Your will. Your request concerning your mother and father has been laid before the Lord with sincere prayer. We are grieved to hear of your mother's diabetes and the fungal infection in her lungs, and of your father's afflictions with his eyesight, headaches, urinary troubles, swelling of the feet and blood pressure. These infirmities remind us that all flesh is frail and that we all stand in need of the Great Physician.

We turn you to Jesus Christ, in whom there is an abundance of healing power. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations, which teaches us that the least thing about Christ is full of healing virtue. If the sin sick soul does but come to Jesus and touch the hem of His garment by faith, there is no stint in His healing power. The Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings, and healing and pardon are placed in happy conjunction in His hands. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy He first said, Thy sins be forgiven thee, to show that pardon and healing are one in His mercy.

We pray that the Lord will lay His gracious hand upon your mother, that He would give wisdom to those who care for her, stay the infection in her lungs, and sustain her body under the burden of diabetes. We pray for your father, that it would please the Lord to improve his eyesight, relieve his headaches, heal his urinary trouble, take away the swelling of his feet, settle his blood pressure and grant him good health and strength according to His will. Above all we ask that both may know the deeper healing of forgiven sin, for the inhabitant shall not say, I am sick when the Lord dwells with him and his iniquity is pardoned.

And we pray with holy submission, knowing that affliction in the hand of our Father is healing medicine and not deadly poison. We would say, Not as we will, but as Thou wilt, trusting that whether He lifts the sickness at once or sustains through it, He will make the sick bed soft with His presence and work all for good to those who love Him.

Tell Him how sick they are and how needful they are in the quiet whisper of your soul, for His ears hear the very beating of your heart. As He took Peter's wife's mother by the hand and lifted her up from her great fever, so may He lift up your dear parents, that being healed they may rise and serve Him.

We will continue to remember you and your mother and father before the throne of grace, asking the Lord to grant you peace as you wait upon Him.
