Beloved of All
He starts his new school today and he is really excited and I’m so torn. He loves it at dads but his life was built with me in our town. Will he ever come home will he finish his schooling here with me? It feels so unreal. Why is this happening to me? I am exhausted from heartbreak and trials. I just want my boy home. His dad has a whole different life than we have here. I will do anything and everything for my son to come back home. Finish school here finish what we started here together then after school he can venture out. I know he is ### figuring who he is and thinking it would be better at dads but what if it would be better there. Take my heart out my chest is what it feels like. I’m lost without him it’s hard to reach out to him he is ### hours away. How can this be? I need to be ok until he comes home for good. And I’m not sure what the future holds and if he will return home. Help me I lost my entire world.

We hear the deep anguish in your heart, and we lift you up before the Lord with tears of our own. The pain of separation from your son is a heavy burden, and we stand with you in this valley, trusting that God sees every tear and hears every cry. You are not alone in this, our Heavenly Father is near to the brokenhearted, and He collects every sorrow in His bottle (Psalm 56:8).

First, we must address the foundation of your plea. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and it is by His blood alone that we are reconciled to God. If you have not placed your trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now. He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6), and there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). Salvation comes by grace through faith in Him, believing that He died for your sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day (1 Corinthians 15:3-4). If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved (Romans 10:9). We pray that you would surrender your heart to Him, for He is the only source of true peace and healing.

Now, to your request: Your love for your son is evident, and your desire to see him return home is understandable. Yet we must gently remind you that as parents, our role is to guide, not control. Proverbs 22:6 tells us, "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." You have poured into him, and now you must trust that the seeds you’ve sown will bear fruit in God’s timing. The Lord has a plan for your son’s life, and though it may not look the way you envisioned, His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9).

We rebuke the spirit of fear and despair that seeks to overwhelm you. The enemy would love nothing more than to keep you paralyzed by "what ifs" and uncertainty, but God has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). You are not lost, you are loved by the Creator of the universe, who holds your son in the palm of His hand.

We also encourage you to examine your heart regarding your son’s father. While your pain is valid, bitterness or resentment toward him will only harm you further. Romans 12:18 says, "If it is possible, as much as it depends on you, live peaceably with all men." Pray for your son’s father, that God would soften his heart and guide him in raising your son according to His will. Your son’s well-being is tied to both of you, and unity, even in separation, is what God desires.

As for your son’s future, we pray that the Lord would give him wisdom and discernment as he navigates this new season. James 1:5 says, "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." We trust that God will direct his steps, whether that leads him back to you or elsewhere. Your job now is to pray fervently, love unconditionally, and trust that the Lord is working all things together for good (Romans 8:28).

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this mother who is grieving the separation from her son. Lord, You see her tears, You know her fears, and You hold her future in Your hands. We ask that You would comfort her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Remind her that You are her strength when she is weak, her hope when she is weary, and her refuge in the storm (Psalm 46:1).

Father, we pray for her son as he begins this new chapter. Give him wisdom beyond his years, surround him with godly influences, and let him feel Your presence in every step he takes. If it is Your will, Lord, bring him back to his mother’s home to finish what they started together. But if not, give her the grace to release him into Your care, trusting that You love him even more than she does.

We rebuke the spirit of division and strife that seeks to tear this family apart. Heal any wounds, soften any hardened hearts, and restore what has been broken. Let Your love be the foundation that holds them together, even when they are apart.

Lord, we ask that You would fill this mother with Your joy, even in the midst of her sorrow. Help her to find her identity in You, not in her circumstances. Give her the strength to stand firm in faith, knowing that You are working all things for her good and Your glory.

We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Author and Perfecter of our faith, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.

In the days ahead, cling to the promises of God. Psalm 30:5 says, "Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning." This season is not forever, God is preparing a future for you and your son that is greater than you can imagine. Keep praying, keep trusting, and keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the Author and Finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). You are not forgotten, and neither is your son. The Lord is with you both.

We hear the exhaustion in your words, and we want you to know it's okay to feel torn. Watching your son start a new school hours away while you've built a life together in your town is a real loss, and grief over that lost daily rhythm is not weakness. It's love.

You don't have to solve the future tonight. What you can do is take the next hour, the next day, and let yourself breathe. If you haven't already, we'd gently encourage you to find a Christian counselor or a single parent support group through your church. Having someone steady to talk with can carry part of this weight. And keep the door open with your son in small, low-pressure ways, a text, a call, a planned visit when possible. Not to pressure him, but so he knows home is still a place of love.

Father, we lift up this mother. You see her heartbreak and her love for her boy. Comfort her in the emptiness, sustain her when she is weary, and give her wisdom in her relationship with her son and his father. Surround her with people who will weep with her and hope with her. In Jesus' name, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Thank you Heavenly Father for blessing us with another day, and for all you do for all of us. All glory and honor belongs to you Father. I lift this prayer up on your glory Father God and ask that you grant your perfect will. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

“But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.”

‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭17‬:‭7‬ ‭NIV‬‬

The rending of a mother’s heart is no small thing in the sight of the Lord. Jesus looked on the widow of Nain and had compassion on her, and He is not cold toward you now. You are not asking for a trifle; you are asking for your son, and the Lord knows what that word costs you.

Yet I must tell you plainly: I cannot promise that your boy will return to your town or finish his schooling under your roof. God has not whispered that to me. But I can tell you what is better: God is able to keep him, pursue him, and bring him back in His time and in His way. The father of the prodigal did not drag his son home by force. He let him go into the far country, and then he watched, and when the boy returned the father ran to meet him with compassion and kisses. There was no anger in his heart toward his son. Love leaped into his eyes. So the Lord deals with returning sinners, and so He can deal with your boy.

Why is this happening? I would point you to a truth that stings before it heals. God had one Son without sin, but He never had a son without sorrow. Even Christ learned obedience by the things which He suffered. This trial, though it feels like death, may be the school in which you learn to trust God more than your own plans. You say you would do anything and everything. Then do the one thing that is hardest: surrender him daily into God’s hands, and do not demand to know the end. You say you lost your entire world. Let me touch that tenderly. If your son is your entire world, your world is too small and too fragile. Christ must be the center. Hold the boy with an open hand before the throne of grace.

But do not despise the desolation. The Lord says, “Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife.” God can bring fruit out of this empty place. He has not abandoned you, and He has not lost your son. The Shepherd of Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps.

You ask how this can be. I answer that you are not the first mother to weep at a door and wonder whether a child will come through it. Pray, wait, love, and do not try to force what God alone can do. Entreat Him to work in your boy’s conscience. Keep the way home open, not by bitter demands but by steady affection. The Lord says, “The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.” If He can sing over a desolate heart, He can certainly watch over a boy who is three hours away.

Take your own soul to Christ. Long for God more than you long for the return of your son. If you can live without your God, then it will look as if you were never His child; but if your heart cries, “Oh that I knew where I might find Him,” then He will meet you in the night watches. Cast this burden upon Him, not once, but daily. When your heart is breaking, tell Him. When you cannot pray, groan. The Spirit bears witness with our spirit that we are the children of God.

I do not call you unfeeling for weeping. Weep, but do not despair. You have not lost your entire world, for the everlasting arms are beneath you. The Lord grant you grace to trust Him with your son, and to find that when all earthly props are shaken, Christ remains a rock under your feet, for Jesus Christ’s sake.

Your heartbreak has been heard, and the weight of these words is not lost. To love a child so deeply and then to feel his daily life moved hours away, to watch him begin a new school with excitement while your own heart feels torn and empty, is a grief that words can hardly carry. It is natural that you feel exhausted, unreal, and lost without him, and God sees that exhaustion.

Scripture knows this kind of maternal sorrow. A mother grieving for her child is still delighted in her love for him, even while the care itself is bitter, because love binds you to him. The Lord does not despise that love. He is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit, and He collects your tears. Your longing to have your son finish what you started together, to keep him close until he is ready to venture out, comes from that faithful love.

In this season, the most powerful thing you can do is to entrust him fully to the care of God who formed him. His life is not only built in one town or one home, but in the hands of his Creator. Pray not only that he would return to one place, but that wherever he is, he would grow in virtue, in wisdom, in faith, and in the knowledge of Christ, for that is the one true nobility that will keep him wherever he goes. A child may live in one house or another, but if he learns to do the will of God, he is safe. Ask God to guard his heart and mind in this new school, to give him good friends and teachers, to keep him from harm, and to shape his character.

And for you, ask God for strength to endure this trial with peace that does not depend on knowing the future. You do not know today whether he will return to finish his schooling with you, and that uncertainty is painful. God does know, and He is able to sustain you day by day until the path becomes clear. Do not let your love become a heavy burden for your son to carry. Continue to reach out to him with steady, gentle love, speaking blessing over him, showing him that your home remains a place of welcome and stability, without placing on him the weight of having to heal your heart. That healing belongs to the Lord.

Seek daily bread for this trial. Bring your anxiety to God in prayer with thanksgiving, and ask for His peace to guard your heart. Stay rooted in Scripture, in prayer, and in the fellowship of believers who can sit with you, pray with you, and help you not to walk this road alone. Care for your own body and soul with rest, with honest prayer, and with the support of trusted counsel in your church.

Let us pray together.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, we come to You with this aching heart. You see this mother and You know the love she has for her son. You see the emptiness she feels and the exhaustion that has come from heartbreak. Lord, have mercy and bring comfort. Pour out Your peace that passes understanding upon her, steady her mind, and give her strength for each day.

We lift up her son to You as he begins this new school. Keep him in Your hand. Protect him, give him joy and diligence in learning, surround him with kindness, and above all draw his heart to know and love You. Grant him wisdom beyond his years and help him to grow in virtue and truth.

We ask for wisdom for both his mother and his father. Help them to love him well and to seek what is truly best for his soul and his future. Where there is confusion or distance, bring clarity and grace. And for this mother who feels lost without her world, remind her that her world is held by You, that she is not forsaken, and that You will never leave her. Sustain her until You make the next steps clear, and let Your good and perfect will be done in her family.

We ask this trusting in Your unfailing love, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
